Abstract

Confidence helps to see life from the positive side and helps to find new experiences. This self-confidence has not been well embedded in slow learner students. Slow learner students have low self-confidence. One of the reasons for low self-esteem is discrimination and bullying at school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of self-confidence of slow learner students. This study uses a quantitative research approach. The research method used is a survey method. The respondents of this study were slow learner students in grade IV who had gone through psychological tests. The number of slow learner students is five students based on psychological tests. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. This study tested the validity of the data by using the credibility test. Testing the credibility of the data is done through triangulation and using reference materials. This study uses data analysis techniques Miles and Huberman models. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verification. The result of the research is that the teacher still does not understand the characteristics of the slow learner students. Slow learners feel that the teacher does not care. Slow learners do not understand the material taught by the teacher. Slow learner students tend to be quiet and look down while studying. The self-confidence analysis shows that all students are slow learners in the category of not being confident.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the importance of teaching local history, such as the five-day battle in Palembang in 1947. Students do not understand this important historical event, even though the battle took place in the middle of the city, but this local history material has not been widely used as a learning resource in schools. The aim of this research is to determine the involvement of student soldiers in the five-day battle in Palembang in 1947 and can be integrated as a source for local history learning in schools. Qualitative research method, case study type with a historical approach. Data collection uses field studies, observations, interviews and document studies. Data validation was carried out by triangulating data sources and theory. Data analysis starts from data presentation, reduction and drawing conclusions. The five-day battle in Palembang in 1947 involved Indonesian soldiers assisted by the community against the Dutch who wanted to regain control of Palembang. The involvement of young student soldiers, who were bravely involved directly in the battle, served as health workers, messengers and public kitchen workers. The involvement of student soldiers in this battle contains historical values of struggle, heroism and never giving up, so these historical values can be integrated as a source of history learning in schools. Its relevance as a learning resource can be seen in the history curriculum in the material on the struggle of figures in defending Indonesian independence.

Abstract

Mathematics is an important subject to be learned by all children. Visually impaired children experience obstacles in following the process of mathematics learning caused by abnormalities. Visually impaired students experience obstacles in the process of thinking at the disequilibrium stage and low understanding of concepts when studying mathematics. It caused them to experience difficulties when doing math problems. Assistive technology is a technology created specifically to improve or maintain the functional ability of children with special needs in order to accomplish tasks that hard for them to do. Assistive technology for visually impaired children is made by maximizing the abilities that the children still possess and helping them to get a clearer mathematical concept. This article is a literary study which aims to provide information about the difficulty for the visually impaired students in mathematics learning and assistive technologies that have been developed to support the learning. This article can be used as the basis for developing new assistive technology in mathematics learning. Assistive technology is needed to help children with visual impairment in following the learning of mathematics and to optimize the ability of the children in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Data dianalisis menggunakan Two Way ANAVA.

Abstract

Writing is a language skill that needs to be taught seriously because it is related to creative thinking. However, it is inversely proportional to the current reality where learning to write is very less attractive to elementary school students, because it is still the application of a one-way learning model that makes students passive. Currently SDN Luworo 01 and SDN Luworo 03 Pilangkenceng have implemented learning innovations with the SAVI learning model. The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of students on the SAVI learning model and how it impacts students. This research is descriptive qualitative, using a survey approach. The research subjects were teachers and phase c learners of class V. Methods for collecting data include documentation, questionnaires, interviews, and observation. Participants totaled 40 people consisting of 2 teachers and 38 students. Data analysis was carried out interactively through the stages of: (a) Collecting data; (b) Data assessment; (c) Interpreting data; (d) Making data conclusions. The results showed that most of the fifth grade students gave positive responses/perceptions to the SAVI learning model and were considered interesting and able to improve students' writing skills. During learning, teachers are also considered capable and have sufficient insight when applying the SAVI learning model in class.

Abstract

Miscopception wrong concepts in science learning is a major challenge for elementary school (SD) students, which can hinder the learning process and form a less scientific mindset. This article discusses the influence of Problem Based Learning and Inquiry Learning models on understanding science concepts, as well as the role of critical thinking skills in supporting this understanding. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The results of the research show that there are significant differences in understanding concepts between students taught with Problem Based Learning and Inquiry Learning. The average conceptual understanding score for students taught with Problem Based Learning is 72.07, while for students taught with Inquiry Learning it is 69.65. In addition, students with high critical thinking skills have an average conceptual understanding score of 81.15, while students with low critical thinking skills have an average score of 60.5. The research results also show that there is an interaction between the learning model and critical thinking skills on students' understanding of concepts. Problem Based Learning has proven to be more effective in increasing understanding of concepts, especially for students with high critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the learning model has a significant effect on understanding science concepts, with Problem Based Learning being a more effective strategy than Inquiry Learning. Apart from that, critical thinking skills play an important role in increasing understanding of science concepts in elementary schools.

Abstract

ch school that is the subject of research are adequate and complete to support the learning process, although there are some that still need care. The history learning media used by history teachers is still in the form of presentation media that collaborates with static images or text, making it less interesting and monotonous. Public History-based Image Cloud Recognition learning media designed to be developed by applying android applications, cloud storage, and camera scans to scan content from images of historical objects. The results of the material expert validation test obtained an average score of 4.39 and the media expert validation test obtained an average value of 4.45 so that both values were included in the "Very Good" category. Meanwhile, based on trials to students in small groups, an average score of 4.61 was obtained; In the limited group, a value of 4.28 was obtained and in the broad group, an average value of 4.58 was obtained. All three grades are classified as "Very Good". The effectiveness of products designed according to the results of the t test (t count > t table) is known that Public History based Image Cloud Recognition learning media is effective in improving students' historical thinking skills and making learning more interesting, active, and dynamic.
