Abstract

Lensa Kontak Mata adalah alat bantu penglihatan yang paling banyak digunakan dibandingkan kacamata. Penggunaan lensa kontak secara tidak sengaja saat tidur dapat menyebabkan kornea kekurangan oksigen, tidak membersihkan lensa kontak dengan benar, serta penggunaan lensa kontak tanpa resep dan petunjuk dokter mata maka akan menimbulkan dampak negatif. Dampak negatif dari penggunaan lensa kontak salah satunya yaitu infeksi mata. Infeksi mata terjadi karena adanya mikroorganisme seperti bakteri yang dapat menyerang mata dan jaringan di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sensitivitas antibiotik terhadap isolat bakteri yang di isolasi dari lensa kontak bekas pakai. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Farmasi dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk isolasi lensa kontak bekas pakai. Pengamatan morfologi secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis untuk karakterisasi, dan uji sensitivitas antibiotik Polidemisin® dan Levofloxacin® menggunakan metode difusi cakram (Kirby-Bauer). Hasil isolasi bakteri lensa kontak bekas pakai yang didapatkan dari 3 sampel isolat bakteri (LK 1, LK 2, dan LK 3). Hasil karakterisasi menunjukan karakteristik makroskopis dan mikroskopis yang berbeda dari ketiga isolat. Hasil uji sensitivitas antibiotik Polidemisin® dan Levofloxacin® menunjukkan perbedaan tingkat sensitivitas dengan persentase sensitivitas dari kedua antibiotik uji tersebut sebesar 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how digital school management and data-driven discipline systems contribute to improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 03 Limboto Barat. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis to explore teachers’ experiences and the school’s implementation processes. The findings reveal that digitalization strengthened accountability, enhanced consistency in teachers’ work behavior, and improved the efficiency of administrative tasks. Teachers became more disciplined, more responsive to their professional responsibilities, and more consistent in fulfilling instructional requirements. The digital system also enabled more objective supervision and supported evidence-based decision-making within the school. Overall, the study shows that digital transformation not only improves internal school governance but also provides insights into effective performance management practices relevant to broader organizational and managerial contexts.

Abstract

Corn cobs and corn leaves (Zea mays L.) are abundant agricultural wastes with potential bioactive value. This study aimed to evaluate the extraction efficiency, phytochemical profile, and antioxidant activity of corn cob and corn leaf extracts obtained using solvents of different polarities, and to assess their relevance as supportive herbal resources for health promotion. Samples were extracted using ethanol, acetone, and n-hexane, followed by phytochemical screening and antioxidant evaluation using the DPPH method. The results demonstrated that ethanol extracts produced the highest yields and exhibited very strong antioxidant activity, indicated by low IC₅₀ values. These findings suggest that polar phytochemicals, particularly phenolic and flavonoid compounds, are the main contributors to the antioxidant potential of corn waste materials. Overall, this study provides scientific evidence supporting the valorization of corn agricultural waste as a sustainable source of antioxidant-rich herbal materials with potential relevance for oxidative stress management.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of collagen extracted from catfish (Clarias sp.) using DPPH and ABTS assays. The research procedures included sample preparation, collagen extraction using an acid-based method, and antioxidant analysis at concentrations ranging from 20–100 ppm. The degree of hydrolysis (DH) was measured to determine the effectiveness of Alkalase in producing bioactive peptides. The results showed that higher enzyme concentrations led to increased DH, with the highest value of 62.42% obtained at 3% Alkalase. Antioxidant activity increased with sample concentration, with maximum inhibition values of 78.57% (DPPH) and 85.00% (ABTS) at 100 ppm. The ABTS assay exhibited higher sensitivity than DPPH. These findings indicate that catfish collagen has strong potential as a safe and natural antioxidant source suitable for further development in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic applications.
