Abstract

The airport terminal is one of the impacts of Covid-19 which can still be felt with a decrease in the number of arriving passengers and the number of departing passengers. The sentani international airport terminal adjusts airport activities along with normalization after covid-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of arriving passengers and the number of departing passengers at the Sentani International Airport terminal by forecasting using the ARIMA forecasting method. This research method uses the ARIMA method. The results show that the best model for forecasting the number of incoming passengers is the ARIMA (1.1.1) model with an RMSE value of 31433.34, MAE of 23993.72, and MAPE of 5207.000, and the number of departing passengers with the ARIMA (1.1.1) model with RMSE of 25220.27, MAE of 18720.95, and MAPE of 11690.43. The ARIMA model can provide accurate forecasts if conducted over a short or brief time frame.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of perception, study program accreditation, and promotion on student decisions in choosing the Air Transportation Logistics Management study program at the Jayapura Aviation Polytechnic. Data were collected from 381 prospective student respondents and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that perception (? = 0.262, p < 0.05), study program accreditation (? = 1.178, p < 0.05), and promotion (? = 0.291, p < 0.05) have a significant influence on the decision choose a study program. Study program accreditation variable has the most significant influence. Although the Air Transportation Logistics Management Study Program does not yet have study program accreditation, respondents are confident that they have chosen this study program because of the good reputation of the tertiary institution and its graduates have broad job opportunities. The recommendations for the Jayapura Aviation Polytechnic are strengthening marketing strategies with effective promotion, obtaining study program accreditation, and maintaining a good reputation. This will increase the attractiveness of the study program and meet the needs of prospective students.

Abstract

Perusahaan jasa pengiriman barang telah menjadi esensi kehidupan sehari-hari bagi masyarakat karena mereka percaya bahwa adanya jasa pengiriman barang memungkinkan pengiriman barang untuk berlangsung dengan kecepatan yang sangat tinggi. Kualitas layanan yang memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan akan membuat mereka puas, namun jika layanan tidak mencapai standar yang diharapkan, maka pelanggan akan merasa tidak puas. Oleh karena itu, kepuasan pelanggan menjadi sangat penting untuk memastikan kelangsungan perusahaan dan kualitas layanan yang ditawarkan, baik berupa barang atau jasa, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan. Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak penanganan barang terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan pustaka atau literatur review. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kualitas penanganan barang kargo yang baik akan meningkatkan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan, faktor sumber daya manusia yang baik terkait penanganan barang/kargo mampu memberikan dampak terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada PT. Indah Logistik, fasilitas yang diberikan oleh PT Indah Logistik fokus pada pelayanan atau penanganan kargo untuk memuaskan pelanggan, faktor lingkungan kerja memberikan dampak terhadap kinerja karyawan perusahaan. Dengan kinerja yang baik, PT Indah Logistik dapat mencapai kepuasan pelanggan dengan baik.

Abstract

The study "Navigating Change and Innovation in the Aviation Industry: A Systematic Literature Review of Transformational Leadership" examines how transformational leadership influences change management and innovation within the aviation sector. By systematically reviewing existing literature, the research evaluates current knowledge and identifies gaps for further exploration. Key findings highlight the importance of transformational and inclusive leadership in enhancing job performance, satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Despite these insights, more research is required to explore the nuanced relationship between leadership styles and employee performance. The study offers valuable guidance for leaders and policymakers aiming to boost employee engagement and satisfaction through effective leadership. This work extends the understanding of transformational leadership with a specific emphasis on its application in the aviation industry.

Abstract

A systematic review of research articles on the application of servant leadership in the aviation industry highlights its significant positive impact on both service quality and workplace safety. Servant leadership, with its emphasis on employee well-being and development, has been shown to effectively improve safety behaviors and reduce accident risks, outperforming other leadership styles such as transactional and laissez-faire. This leadership model enhances employees' sense of ownership and responsibility, leading to greater job satisfaction, motivation, communication, and teamwork. Furthermore, servant leadership contributes to a more positive work environment, increasing employee loyalty, retention, and overall operational efficiency. Therefore, implementing servant leadership in the aviation sector not only reinforces a strong safety culture but also elevates the quality of services provided to customers.

Abstract

Aviation safety is the concern and responsibility of all parties, not only in theory but also in practice, through a continuous process of identifying hazards, managing risks, and meeting performance expectations. Safety Management System training is mandatory for all aviation personnel as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia PM No. 62 of 2017 (Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Part 19) concerning Safety Management Systems. As a unified implementation of the important pillars of the safety management system, participants are expected to be able to prioritize risks based on severity, manage risks, find potential risks with minimal effort, carry out records and audits, and neutralize possible consequences. Therefore, this training will introduce methods for identifying potential hazards. Community Service Activities (PKM): Introduction to Hazard Identification Methods and Tools for the Implementation of Safety Risk Management are carried out online through an online meeting application, namely Zoom. Participants are PPI Curug alumni and SMS experts who already have SMS competency certificates, totaling 219 people. Through PKM and PPI Curug activities, it is hoped that they can provide useful skills and training for participants, as well as experience for participants and the lecturers themselves.

Abstract

In Banyuwangi, seaplane flight operations are conducted by the Banyuwangi Indonesian Aviation Academy with a water aerodrome located in the waters of Teluk Pangpang, Banyuwangi. The purpose of this research is to identify environmental factors that can cause accidents during seaplane flight training at the Teluk Pangpang Water Aerodrome in Banyuwangi. The techniques used in the data collection process include field observations, interviews, and documentation. The sample used in this study was taken from the entire population, which includes all team members involved in the seaplane flight operations at the Banyuwangi Indonesian Aviation Academy. Based on the data collected, it can be concluded that the factors contributing to seaplane accidents include the 4Ms: Man (human factors), Machine (machine factors), Media (media or environmental factors), and Management (management factors). The study found that environmental factors posing risks to seaplane flight activities include high sea waves and bird migration in Teluk Pangpang.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran untuk Program Studi Teknik Listrik Politeknik Penerbangan Jayapura yang dapat digunakan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran berdasarkan keadaan aslinya. Metode yang dipakai yaitu research and development melalui identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan prototype, implementasi, hingga evaluasi. Tahap pengujian dilakukan uji fungsional yaitu dengan menguji software dan hardware sesuai dengan prinsip kerjanya, setelah itu dilakukan uji efektivitas pada 3 responden ahli menggunakan instrument kuesioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini prototype traffic light yang menggunakan sistem manual dan kontrol dengan internet of things berjalan dengan baik serta mendapatkan efektivitas sebesar 87% atau sangat efektif sehingga media ini dapat digunakan pada mahasiswa untuk melakukan praktik dalam pembelajaran serta berimplikasi pada potensi peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa dengan memperkenalkan pada teknologi terkini yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri.

Abstract

Safety Management System (SMS) is a term used to refer to a comprehensive business management system designed to manage safety factors in the workplace. SMS provides a systematic way to identify hazards and manage risks to ensure effective risk management. Every aviation service provider is required to create, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve a safety management system based on the national aviation safety program. SMS describes the scope and application for aviation service providers. As part of the aviation personnel, of course, TNI AU personnel at the Atang Sendjaja TNI AU Base need knowledge about safety to be ready to work. To improve understanding of the Safety Management System, the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug held a community service activity in the form of Basic Safety Management System Training for TNI AU Personnel at the Atang Sendjaja TNI AU Base. The training was carried out offline in class with the method used not only lectures but also group discussions and ice breaking. The results of this training showed that there was an increase in personnel's understanding of safety, strengthening of safety culture and increasing awareness and skills in terms of safety management.

Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the essential role of air traffic controllers (ATCs) in guiding air traffic and ensuring the safety and efficiency of aviation operations. The review synthesizes findings from various studies to elucidate the critical responsibilities of ATCs, such as maintaining situational awareness, managing airspace, and making prompt decisions in high-stress environments. Additionally, it explores the concept of authentic leadership within the air traffic control context, identifying how leadership qualities and practices influence operational success and team dynamics. Key traits of authentic leadership, including transparency, ethical behavior, and relational focus, are examined for their impact on communication, error reduction, and the cultivation of a safety-centric culture. The review emphasizes the importance of continuous professional development for ATCs to keep pace with technological advancements and increasingly complex airspace management demands. By integrating theoretical perspectives with practical insights, this review provides a comprehensive understanding of how authentic leadership can enhance the performance of air traffic control operations. The findings offer valuable recommendations for improving leadership practices and air traffic management systems, ultimately contributing to safer and more efficient aviation industry operations.
