Abstract

Along with advances in information technology, the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Foundation still relies on managing personnel data manually without adopting a personnel management information system. This research aims to design a personnel information system that includes employee data management, including rank, leave applications, attendance, further studies, and monitoring of employee performance. In this research, the methodology used is Extreme, which is used to model process flow. In contrast, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) are used to model data flow in a system, helping to clearly describe processes, data, and interactions between system components. The system development method used is extreme programming. Then, the system will be tested using the Black Box Testing method. The results show that the system is 100% valid and 100% compatible.

Abstract

Virtual Laboratory is a platform that helps students carry out practicum-based learning both independently and in groups. Nuclear physics is an abstract concept that discusses atomic nuclei, atomic nuclei decay, radioactivity which allows in practice to use virtual. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' reflective thinking skills after using the virtual lab in the nuclear physics course. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The data collection technique used a modified Kember reflective questionnaire with 24 statement items consisting of aspects of habitual action, understanding, reflection, and critical reflection. The research subjects were 15 prospective physics teacher students. The results showed that the level of reflective ability: habitual action (72.7%), understanding (89.3%), reflection 76.9% and critical reflection (67.87%) means that all levels are in the high category. These results explain that the profile of students' reflective thinking abilities is in the high category after learning nuclear physics using a virtual laboratory.

The object of material used to find the value of the coefficient of kinetic friction is acrylic with wood, acrylic with acrylic, and acrylic with plastic. To determine the value of the coefficient of kinetic friction, a 620 g load was launched on a plane surface with an angle of 30° and a neodymium magnet with three solenoid coils was placed on an inclined plane to capture the magnetic induction wave signal displayed by Audacity as the generated time logging data. The development model in this study is the Plomp model. The first stage is preliminary research, the second stage is Design and Develop prototype. The results of this study indicate the validity value obtained from experimental tools and support systems with an average validation index of 0.86 with high validity criteria. While the results of the practicality test by the teacher obtained an average percentage of 82% with appropriate criteria, while the practicality test by students obtained a percentage of 78.33% with appropriate criteria. The percentage of relative error between acrylic and wood was 15% with a coefficient of kinetic friction 0.292, acrylic with acrylic 30%   0.208 0.208 and acrylic with plastic obtained   0.265. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the experimental tool for determining the coefficient of kinetic friction developed is valid and practical to be used as a learning media.

Abstract

Physic Education and Technology (PhET) is a virtual laboratory-based learning media that was created to facilitate practical activities. This study aims to improve students' analytical skills on the concept of mechanical waves. This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted at SMP NU Bumirahayu involving 23 students taken by random sampling. This research was conducted using a Quasy Experiment method in the form of Pre-experimental Design using one class. Data was collected by giving pretest and post-test. The type of question used is a description test. The data analysis technique used the N-gain test. The results of the study on the calculation of N-gain showed that the average pretest score was 36.61 while the average post-test score was 90.17. Based on the results of the N-gain calculation, it can be seen that learning using virtual laboratory media (PhET Simulation) can improve students' analytical skills. For researchers who will apply learning using virtual laboratory media, they should be able to display simulations with the latest innovations so that the goals are achieved and the final learning outcomes are even better.
