Abstract

This study aims to determine income and the factors that influence the income of oil palm farmers in Lambandia Village, Bassalah District, South Konawe Regency. The population in this study were all oil palm farmers in Lambandia Village, Basala District, South Konawe Regency, totaling 22 people, using the census technique, 22 respondents were obtained as the research sample. Data analysis used income analysis and multiple linear regression analysis where the data has been transformed into logarithmic form. The results showed that the income of oil palm farmers in Lambandia Village, Basala District, South Konawe Regency averaged IDR 42,985,442/year. Production costs (X3) have a negative effect on the income of oil palm farmers, while land area (X1) and price (X4) have a positive and significant influence on the income of oil palm farmers in Lambandia Village, Basala District, South Konawe Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the government's fertilizer subsidy policy on the productivity and income of cocoa farming businesses in East Kolaka Regency which was carried out from June 2024 to July 2024. This study uses primary and secondary data, and the data is analyzed using the t-test assisted by SPSS software. The variables in this study include fixed costs (equipment depreciation costs and land taxes), variable costs (seedling, fertilizer, pesticide and labor purchase costs), revenue, and income. The results showed that there was no significant difference in productivity, while there was a significant difference in income. Where the average productivity of farmers using fertilizer subsidies was 722 Kg/Ha while non-fertilizer subsidized farmers were 712 Kg/Ha. The average income generated by fertilizer subsidized farmers was IDR 33,814,583/Year while the average income of non-fertilizer subsidized farmers was IDR 25,470,167/Year. The impact of fertilizer subsidies on cocoa farming has a positive impact on farmers' income, this is because there is a significant difference, while there is no significant impact on productivity

Abstract

This study aims to find out the level of financial feasibility and how the development strategy of uwi farming as a local food in Wangi-Wangi District. The determination of the research location was determined deliberately with a sample of 46 respondents for financial feasibility and 5 expert respondents for the needs of Uwi's farming development strategy. The collection of research data was carried out from June to July 2024 in Waginopo, Sombu and Patuno Villages. The analysis in this study uses the R/C ratio to determine financial feasibility and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the farming development strategy. The results of the study show that uwi farming as a local food in Wangi-Wangi District is feasible to be developed where the average total production cost is Rp 1,579,614 per season, the total revenue is Rp 4,741,304 per season and the R/C ratio is 3.0. The results of the analysis using the AHP method show that the right development strategy for uwi farming is obtained criteria and strategies are the Strengthening Food Security criteria (0.501) and alternative strategies, namely Diversified Processed Food (0.268).

Abstract

Patchouli is a crop cultivated by most farmers in Sangia Tiworo Village. In addition to farming, they engage in other jobs to stabilize their household income. This strategy helps farmers meet their daily needs despite price fluctuations or the risk of crop failure in patchouli farming. This study aims to determine the household income of patchouli farmers and analyze their livelihood strategies in Sangia Tiworo Village, South Tiworo District, West Muna Regency. The data analysis methods used in this research are income analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. This study presents two main findings. First, the average income of patchouli farmers is IDR 8,069,241 per harvest (excluding the first harvest) or approximately IDR 2,017,310.25 per month. Second, patchouli farmers in Sangia Tiworo Village implement three main livelihood strategies. They engage in agricultural livelihood adaptation by opening new farmland. They also adopt a diversified livelihood pattern, which includes on-farm income (patchouli cultivation), off-farm income (producing palm sugar, livestock farming, and providing wood-cutting services), and non-farm income (selling basic groceries and snacks). Lastly, they apply spatial livelihood adaptation by migrating outside the village to sell the palm sugar they produce

Abstract

This research aims toanalyze the impact of restrictions on community activities during the Covid-19 pandemic on the income of micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) around Kendari Beach, Punggaloba Village, West Kendari District, Kendari City. determination of the sample using purposive sampling techniques used data using primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, documentation. And the analysis used is income analysis to analyze and answer problems from the impact of limiting community activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. 39,600,000/month and receipts during Covid-19 amounted to Rp. 289,000. 000/month while the income before Covid-19 in the Kendari beach area, Kendari City, was Rp. 21,230,000/month and income during Covid-19 is Rp. 10,830,000/month

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine the feasibility of grafted and ungrafted pepper farming in Mataiwoi Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency. (2) Determine the increase in the number of farmers and the area of land using the grafted system in Mataiwoi Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency. The number of samples in this study was 39 respondents. Data analysis used Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost ratio (B/C ratio), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Period. The results of the study showed that the grafted and ungrafted pepper farming in Mataiwoi Village at a discount factor (df) of 6.5% and 150% was financially feasible to be developed. The positive NPV at both discount levels confirms that pepper farming is not only feasible to run but also financially profitable to be developed further. The increase in the number of farmers and the area of land used for the grafted method increased very rapidly, this proves that the government has succeeded in providing counseling on the grafted method to farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of vegetable farming with a hydroponic system in Kendari City, with a case study on Simbo Hydroponics. Simbo Hydroponics is a household business that utilizes the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system to cultivate several types of vegetables including lettuce, pak choy, Chinese cabbage, caisim cabbage, and samhong. This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis includes calculating income, Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), and Break Even Point (BEP). The results of the analysis show that the Simbo Hydroponics farming business has a positive income level and an RCR value > 1, which means that this business is financially feasible to be developed. The break-even point (BEP) of production and price also shows that the business is in a profitable condition. Thus, this hydroponic business can be used as an alternative urban agricultural business that is efficient, sustainable, and has bright prospects

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimal use of production resources in hydroponic vegetable farming in order to maximize income. The research was conducted from February to July 2025. The method used in this study is linear programming analysis using the simplex method, assisted by the POM-QM for Windows IV software to determine the optimal combination of resources, including seeds, nutrients, and labor. The results showed that the use of production resources had reached an optimal condition, with full utilization of nutrients (70 liters) and labor (8 man-days). The resources that remained in surplus and were not limiting factors included lettuce seeds, pakcoy seeds, caisim seeds, samhong seeds, and kailan seeds. Among the five crops, pakcoy still had potential for further optimization, while the other four had already reached optimal levels. Each type of vegetable showed that production quantity matched demand (optimal). The optimal production levels for each crop were: lettuce 60 kg, pakcoy 120.63 kg, caisim 30 kg, samhong 30 kg, and kailan 90 kg. The total optimal income obtained from this combination amounted to IDR 10,201,148 per production cycle

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the volume of raw material use for sago products, and 2) the competitiveness of sago products in Kendari City. This research was conducted in Purirano Village, Kendari District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, specifically in the Sago Meambo Food Business Group (KU-SMF), which produces processed sago agricultural products in several variants, including chocolate sago biscuits, chocolate sago brownies, beng-beng sago, and moringa leaf sago chips. The research was conducted in May 2024. Competitiveness analysis was carried out using PAM (Policy Analysis Matrix) analysis, which aims to determine whether a policy can improve competitiveness for a business that is generated through the creation of business efficiency and revenue growth. The results of the study showed that 1) Krispi Brownis Sago uses various ingredients in relatively large quantities, especially sago flour, indicating that this product has a dense structure and significant main ingredients. The same selling price as other products, but with the use of more varied materials reflects the balance between costs and selling prices. 2) The Sago Meambo Food Business Group has comparative advantages and competitive advantages. The Sago Meambo Food Business Group has efficiently used its domestic resources at international prices and is able to finance its domestic factors at actual prices

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui alasan petani berusahatani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Lambandia Kabupaten Kolaka Timur, (2) mengetahui kelayakan finansial usahatani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Lambandia Kabupaten Kolaka Timur. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Lambandia 114 KK. Penentuan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan Teknik stratified random sampling berdasarkan umur tanaman kelapa sawit yaitu 0 tahun – 15 tahun, sehingga jumlah responden seluruhnya sebanyak 32 orang. Analisis data menggunakan beberapa kriteria kelayakan finansial yang meliputi Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), dan Analisis Sensitivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alasan petani berusahatani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Lambandia Kabupaten Kolaka Timur diantaranya dari segi aspek teknis, aspek ekonomis, dan aspek sosial. Kemudian usahatani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Lambandia Kabupaten Kolaka Timur layak diusahakan dan menguntungkan secara finansial berdasarkan hasil analisis yaitu: (a) nilai Net Present Value (NPV) positif pada discount factor 12% yaitu sebesar Rp 69.360.643,-, (b) Nilai NBCR > 1 yaitu sebesar 2,17, sedangkan (c) Nilai IRR yaitu 24,62%.
