Abstract

Information on the type of OPT that attacks plantation commodities in Buton Regency is incomplete, even though the data can be the basis for mitigating attacks and controls if the plants have been attacked. For this reason, research was conducted to identify the type and distribution of pests in plantation crops, especially in cocoa, cloves, cashew, pepper, and coconut commodities. They analyzed the damage caused by OPT in plantation crops, especially in cocoa, cloves, cashews, pepper, and coconut commodities, and determined alternative solutions for control and prevention. Observations were made in several villages in several sub-districts in Buton Regency. Direct observations were made on the specified land, and interviews with farmers and various related parties were conducted. To get OPT-type data and damage levels. OPT that attacks cashew consists of two types of pests and one disease. The level of damage OPT in the categorized category of guava plants. The level of damage to the pest on the categorized cashew was low. In coconut commodities, found OPT from three types of pest groups, namely Orycter Rhynocheros, Aspidiotus Destructors, and Pestalotia sp. The level of attack of the three pests was categorized as low. Cocoa was the commodity mainly attacked by OPT, consisting of 4 types of pests and four types of diseases. Fruit rot (Phytophthora palmivora) and stem cancer (Phytophthora palmivora) had a heavy attack rate in all cocoa-producing districts in Buton Regency.

Abstract

Griya Melon Kendari UMKM has been established since 2019. Even though it has been around for a long time, the UMKM still uses traditional promotion and marketing methods. The promotion and marketing process for the product is still simple, with consumers who want to buy it coming to MSMEs to buy some of the hydroponic melon plants. Because of this, MSMEs cannot sell widely, even though this has been done in several locations in Kendari City. The aim of this PKM activity is to increase knowledge and skills in marketing innovations for hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses through the Facebook marketplace. The activity partner is UMKM Griya Melon Kendari. The activity was held on August 15, 2023, and was attended by 20 participants. Activity plan: (1) preparation stage (team meetings, partner meetings, and preparation of facilities and equipment); and (2) implementation stage Training using a demonstration approach method. The results of the pre-test evaluation showed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding marketing hydroponic melon plants via the Facebook marketplace were 50 percent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activity on marketing hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses via the Facebook marketplace showed an increase of 90 percent among the training participants. The results of the activity show that the process of using the Facebook marketplace feature is very influential as a medium for promotion and marketing of hydroponic melon plant products. The implementation of the Facebook marketplace has greatly influenced the sales value of hydroponic plant products at Griya Melon Kendari MSMEs in Southeast Sulawesi. This is realized by taking steps to sell via the Facebook marketplace.

Abstract

Highlight ResearchDipped lamp technology with CCTV (UFLPlus) to catch fish was designed in such a way that the placement of components contained was integrated, water-proof, and having a good light distribution. The existence of a CCTV in new innovated UFLPlus that can record events in the water and greatly assist fishing activities of fishermen on passive fishing gear such as boat charts.UFLPlus worked well to increase the number of hauling every night of fishing (from 20-30 kg to 50-60 kg per hauling).AbstractThe usage of underwater immersion lights outfitted with CCTV is a technological innovation that is expected to solve the inadequacies of the acoustic work system while also improving the existing underwater immersion light work system. Underwater Fish Lamp Plus (UFLPlus) technology can attract attention and directly monitor the condition of fish in the sea from the boat. The purpose of this study was to understand how the UFLPlus was designed and constructed; to test its performance using lamplight, waterproof, and immersion tests; to learn how the light distribution pattern is formed; and to learn the state of the catch. The study was separated into two phases: the design and fabrication of UFLPlus, and numerous laboratory-scale experiments and outdoor trials with boat lift net fishing gear. The results reveal that UFLPlus performed effectively in the field after all of its physical components were tested in the laboratory, and that the values of light intensity and light distribution patterns are still in accordance with the level of adaptation to light reception on the fish retina. During the trial catch, 62 kg of anchovy (Stolephorus sp.), 27 kg of ponyfishes (Leiognathus sp.), 32.5 kg of fringe-scale sardinella (Sardinella fimbriata), and 17.5 kg of yellow-stripe scad (Selaroides leptolepis) were caught. UFLPlus was capable of functioning as an underwater immersion lamp that attracts fish attention and directly monitors the arrival of fish in the water in the fishing area.
