Abstract

In March 2022, there will be a national shortage of cooking oil. The price of cooking oil in Southeast Sulawesi at that time reached IDR 70,000 per liter, the highest in Indonesia. This has a big impact on households and fried food businesses as MSMEs because cooking oil is a daily necessity. Cooking oil is one of the main requirements for the sustainability of a fried food business, so without its use, the business will not run or close. This research aims to analyze the income and contribution to household income of fried food businesses in Kendari City. The location of the research was in Kendari City in Kiambu District (Jalan H.E.A. Mokodompit), Baruga District (along Jalan Jenderal A. Yani and Jalan Poros Halu Oleo Airport). The research results show that the average income of fried food businesses in Kendari City reaches IDR 17,837,236 per month. The highest income was obtained from the fried food business located on Jalan Ahmad Yani (Haluoleo Airport Axis) reaching IDR 26,377,042 per month, while the one located in front of the UHO Campus was IDR 9,297,431 per month. Analysis of the average income contribution reached 57% and the highest is located in front of the UHO campus at 64%, while the lowest is located in Ahmad Yani (Haluoleo Airport Axis) reaching 51%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the production of carambola tomato farming, and analyze the allocative efficiency of input use in carambola tomato farming in Muna Regency. The population in this study were all carambola tomato farmers in Kabawo District, Muna Regency. Sampling was carried out using a cluster random sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 75 farmers. Data analysis used was multiple linear regression of the Cobb-Douglas production function model and allocative efficiency. The results showed that the factors that significantly influenced the production of carambola tomatoes were land area and fertilizer. While the factors that did not significantly influence the production of carambola tomatoes were seeds, herbicides, and labor. The use of land area inputs in carambola tomato farming in Muna Regency was not efficient, while the use of seed, herbicide, labor and fertilizer inputs was inefficient. Abstract

The aims of this study was to identify the potential distribution of land for developing food crops, and to analyze the types of local food crops that have the potential to be developed in Kaledupa District. The research data is primary data through direct observation and interviews with stakeholders, namely agricultural service officials, coconut villages, farmers, heads of farmer groups, and researchers. Data analysis is a descriptive approach and GIS (Geographic Information System) analysis to describe land potential, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process to determine priority food crops. The results of the analysis of the potential land for food crops are known to be spread over 12 village areas with a total potential land area of 957.68 ha. The dominant existing food crops are found in seven village areas namely Ollo, Balasuna, Balasuna Selatan, Laulua, Horuo, Kalimas and Sombano. The priority criterion for developing food crops is market demand with a weight value of 0.409, while the priority scale for food crops is cassava with a weight value of 0.352. The development of food crop agriculture should be adapted to the potential of land resources and local commodities, thereby helping efforts to increase production and farmer welfare

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the development of the welfare of food crop farmers and the welfare of horticultural farmers, as well as to analyze the comparison of the welfare of food crop farmers and the welfare of horticultural farmers in Southeast Sulawesi Province. This study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency in the form of exchange rate data for food crop farmers and exchange rates for horticultural crop farmers from January 2014 to December 2022, so that the number of observations is 108 months. Analysis of this research data using a paired t test. The results of this study show the welfare of farmers from 2014 to 2022 for fluctuating and unprosperous food crops. The exchange rate for horticultural farmers' welfare fluctuated and prospered from 2020 to 2022. The welfare of food crop farmers and the welfare of horticultural farmers are significantly different.

Abstract

Tanaman padi sawah adalah tanaman penghasil beras yang merupakan sumber penghasil karbohidrat bagi sebagian penduduk dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui risiko yang terdapat pada usahatani padi sawah dan mendeskripsikan upaya yang dilakukan petani untuk mengelola risiko usahatani padi sawah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 193 petani. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara acak sederhana (Simple Random Sampling) berjumlah 36 petani dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko yang terjadi pada saat pengolahan lahan yaitu kurangnya ketersediaan alat mesin traktor, dan kurangnya ketersediaaan air irigasi. Pada saat penanaman risiko yang terjadi yaitu tanaman gagal tumbuh dan tanaman kerdil. Pada saat pemeliharaan risiko yang terjadi yaitu penyakit blast, tikus, walang sangit, dan wereng. Pada saat pemanenan risiko yang terjadi yaitu pada saat masa panen keterbatasan alat mesin panen sehingga mengakibatkan keterlambatan dalam pemanenan.Upaya petani dalam pengelolaan risiko yang dihadapi sebelum terjadi, pada saat terjadi dan setelah terjadi adalah dilakukan dengan menghindari risiko tersebut dengan cara apabila terjadi tanda-tanda serangan hama dan penyakit maka petani mengatasi dengan cara menyemprotkan obat-obatan atau pestisida yang sesuai untuk mengatasi hama dan penyakit tersebut agar tidak berkelanjutan keareal lainnya yang akan mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas hasil produksi padi sawah. Rice plants are rice-producing plants that are a source of carbohydrate production for some of the world's population.This study aims to determine the risks found in paddy farming and describe the efforts made by farmers to manage the risks of paddy rice farming. The population in this study was 193 farmers.The determination of samples in this study was carried out by simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling) totaling 36 farmers using a slovin formula.The data analysis used in this study was qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the risks that occur during land processing are the lack of availability of tractor machine tools, and the lack of availability of irrigation water. At the time of planting, the risks that occur are plants that fail to grow and stunted plants. At the time of maintenance the risks that occur are blast disease, rats, walang sangit, and leafhoppers. At the time of harvesting, the risk that occurs during the harvest period, the limitations of harvesting machine tools resulting in delays in harvesting.Farmers' efforts in managing risks faced before they occur,When it occurs and after it occurs is done by avoiding these risks by means of if there are signs of pest and disease attacks, farmers overcome by spraying drugsor pesticides that are suitable to overcome these pests and diseases so that they are not sustainable in other areas that will result in a decrease in the quality of rice field production.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of livestock and explore sustainable incomes for beef cattle fattening farmers with the location of the agricultural area and the Tempeh Factory area in Konda Sub-district, South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi. Data retrieval was used the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method, which was an approach that involves family members or individuals to analyze the reality of the living conditions they run. This study involved 45 farmers who were selected by purposive sampling based on five considerations. The analytical model used to test the differences between the two locations wasthe independent T-test analysis. The results showed that the age of the breeder, the experience of raising livestock, the number of family dependents, and the number of livestock ownership were not significantly different (p>0.05) from the two research locations. The motivation for raising livestock as savings and functions as fertilizer was not significantly different in the two locations, but the motivation for livestock as the main source of income showed that the area of agricultural location was higher than that of the Forging Factory (P

Abstract

This research aims to determine 1) The demand for sweet oranges in Kendari City and 2) the factors that influence the demand for sweet oranges in Kendari City. The research was deliberately determined from June to August 2023 in the traditional market of Kendari City. The sampling technique in this research was determined by incidental sampling. Incidental sampling is a technique for determining samples based on chance, that is, anyone who coincidentally/incidentally meets the researcher can be used as a sample if it is deemed that the person they happen to meet is suitable as a data source. Technique The sample in this study was 40 oranges sweet consumers. This data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS application. The variables observed in this research are the price of sweet oranges, the price of mangoes, income, age and number of family members. The results of the research are that the average demand for sweet oranges in Kendari City is 2.6 kg/week and the factors that significantly influence the demand for sweet oranges in Kendari City are the price of sweet oranges, the price of mangoes, income and the number of family members (α < 0.05). Age has no significant effect on demand for sweet oranges in Kendari City (α > 0.05).

Abstract

The research aims to determine the differences in productivity of rice paddy farms that obtain irrigation water from Ladongi Dam and rice paddy farms that do not obtain irrigation from Ladongi Dam. And to determine the income of paddy rice farms that obtain irrigation from Ladongi Dam and paddy rice farms that obtain irrigation not from Ladongi Dam. Location selection was done purposively with sampling technique purposive random sampling. The population was divided into two, namely rice paddy farms using irrigation of Ladongi Dam and rice paddy farms that do not use irrigation of Ladongi Dam. The observed variables include, respondent characteristics, namely age, education level and number of family members and farming experience. While the characteristics of farming, namely the area of cultivated land, the use of seeds, the use of fertilizers, pesticides, labor, production costs, production revenue and income. Data analysis used to determine the impact is to use the t test analysis. The results showed that the average productivity of paddy rice farming with irrigation from Ladongi Dam is equal to and which is not using Ladongi Dam irrigation of quintals per hectare. Rice paddy farming income irrigation from Ladongi Dam amounted to Rp. 14,833,483 per hectare and which is not using Ladongi Dam irrigation amounted to Rp. 12,092,541 per hectare. The results of statistical analysis of the impact of the construction of Ladongi Dam by using the analysis of differences in productivity of paddy rice farming Ladongi Dam development significantly different at 95% confidence. The impact of development affects the productivity of paddy rice in East Kolaka. The average productivity of paddy rice farming productivity that obtained irrigation from Ladongi Dam was 5,075 kilograms per hectare and not from Ladongi Dam was 4,806 kilo grams per hectare. So there is a difference in the productivity of rice paddy farming of about 269 kilograms per hectare.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Production of BUMDes tomato farming and non-BUMDes tomato farming of Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency, (2) Income of BUMDes tomato farming and non-BUMDes of tomato farming of Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency and (3) Differences in BUMDes tomato farming income and non-BUMDes tomato farming in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The location was determined purposively, this research was conducted in October 2022 - June 2023. The number of respondents was 35 people consisting of 20 BUMDes tomato farming respondents and 15 non-BUMDes tomato farming respondents. The analysis used to answer the first problem statement used descriptive analysis, to answer the second problem statement used income analysis and to answer the third problem statement used an analysis of the average difference test (compare means) independent sample t-test method. The results showed that the average BUMDes tomato farming yield was 2,830/Kg/ha and the Non-BUMDes tomato farming production yielded an average of 2,233/kg/ha. The average BUMDes tomato farming income is IDR 28,018,349/Ha while the non-BUMDes tomato farming average is IDR 24,477,344/Ha. The results of the average different test show that the difference in BUMDes tomato farming income and non-BUMDes tomato farming has a significant effect on income showing a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.03<0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the financial feasibility of Tiga Putra Farm oyster mushroom farming in Anduonohu Village, Poasia District, Kendari City and (2) determine the sensitivity of the financial feasibility of Tiga Putra Farm oyster mushroom cultivation in Anduonohu Village, Poasia District, Kendari City. This research uses a case study method in the Tiga Putra Farm oyster mushroom cultivation in Anduonohu Village, Poasia District, Kendari City with the business owner being the informant in the study. The results showed that the financial aspect obtained an NPV value of Rp 37,525,391.33 with a discount factor rate of 14%, Net B/C of 3.37 and an IRR value of 55.89% and a Payback Period is 2.0 or 3 years and 3 months. This business is declared financially feasible. In addition, based on the calculation of sensitivity analysis carried out in three simulations, the business is still feasible to run even though in the first simulation, there was a decrease in oyster mushroom production by 7.45% and in the second simulation, an increase in operating costs by 6.16% and in the third simulation, for the condition of decreasing oyster mushroom production by 7.45% and increasing operating costs by 6.16% simultaneously, Tiga Putra Farm's oyster mushroom farming is still feasible to run.
