Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan citra perempuan dan nilai-nilai feminisme yang terdapat pada kumpulan puisi Aku Lihat Bali karya Mas Triadnyani. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik studi pustaka dan analisis isi. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kutipan kumpulan puisi Aku Lihat Bali karya Mas Triadnyani yang mengandung citra Perempuan dan nilai feminis. Sumber data dalam penelitian yaitu kumpulan puisi Aku Lihat Bali karya Mas Triadnyani, yakni enambelas buah puisi terdiri atas puisi berjudul Ah Rindu; Apel; Bidadari Pengantar Jempol; Caramu Pindahkan Rambutku; Doa dan Ingkar; Ibu Semesta; itu tubuh; Matahari yang Tertinggal di Sebuah Rumah; Pasrah; Percakapan; Percakapan Derrida dan matahari; Perempuan yang Melukai; Sang Pemantul; dan Shift. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan baca dan catat. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu keenambelas puisi tersebut, terdapat citra perempuan dan nilai-nilai feminisme perempuan berkuasa atas dirinya; perempuan berani dan mampu menentukan nasibnya; perempuan melawan dominasi laki-laki. Kata kunci: citra perempuan, nilai-nilai feminisme, puisi.

Abstract

The ability to understand reading and write narrative texts is an important aspect in learning Indonesian at the elementary school level. However, the results of observations in class III of SD Negeri 09 Lubuk Alung showed that most students still had difficulty in understanding the contents of the text and composing stories coherently. This is due to the learning method which is still conventional and does not involve students actively. The purpose of this study was to improve students' reading comprehension and narrative text writing skills through the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 10 students of class III of SD Negeri 09 Lubuk Alung. Data collection techniques included observation, written tests, documentation of student work results, and informal interviews. The research instruments included observation sheets, reading comprehension questions, and narrative text assessment rubrics. Applying the CIRC model increased students' reading comprehension from 30% before the cycle to 90% throughout the second cycle, according to the data. Skills in composing narrative texts also rose throughout this time, going from 20% to 80%. It seemed like students were more invested in the learning process because they were more vocal in class discussions, papers, and presentations. Overall, elementary school students' reading and writing abilities have been significantly enhanced by the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) approach. Learning environments that are dynamic, engaging, and meaningful can be achieved through the use of collaborative and integrated learning strategies

Abstract

Karya Tulis Ilmiah merupakan salah satu jenis karangan non fiksi yang memberikan banyak manfaat bagi penulisnya. Salah satunya adalah mampu mengembangkan kognitif dan melatih berpikir sistematis, metodis dan ilmiah. Berlatih menulis karya ilmiah sedari remaja akan sangat membantu untuk mengembangkan dan menguji pikiran sehingga akan mempermudah proses berpikir ketika di perguruan tinggi kelak. Atas dasar hal tersebut, maka kami melaksanakan Pelatihan Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah Bagi Siswa X SMA IT Rumbai, Pekanbaru. Jenis KTI yang dikenalkan yaitu makalah. Materi utama yang disampaikan yaitu tentang pengertian, manfaat, jenis-jenis karya tulis ilmiah, langkah-langkah penulisan dan sistematika penulisan karya tulis ilmiah khususnya sistematika penulisan makalah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktek. Kegiatan terlaksana dengan baik dan lancar. Anggota pelatihan berjumlah 50 orang. Dari hasil pelatihan tersebut terhimpun beberapa topik KTI yang akan dikembangkan lebih lanjut oleh peserta pelatihan menjadi makalah utuh sebagai produk dalam agenda tahunan sekolah mereka bertajuk PATH (Proyek Akhir Tahun).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze Indonesian language learning media, find out how students are interested in reading, and the supporting and inhibiting factors for students' interest in reading. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The population of this study was class X at SMAN 1 Puloampel. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research subjects were teachers and students of class X SMAN 1 Puloampel. After analyzing the research results, it shows that students' interest in reading has decreased due to several factors such as internal factors and external factors. The presence of Indonesian language learning media in the learning process can increase students' interest in reading and improve learning text procedures.

Abstract

low interest of students in storytelling activities. Many students showed reluctance to participate actively, often engaging in off-topic conversations or joking with peers during class. This behavior reflected a lack of enthusiasm and motivation toward storytelling lessons. The purpose of this research was to improve the storytelling skills of fourth-grade students (Class IV A) through the use of animated films containing character values. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results demonstrated that the use of character-based animated films effectively enhanced students’ storytelling abilities. Improvements were observed in the learning process, including increased student engagement, focus, enthusiasm, and confidence in speaking in front of the class. In terms of outcomes, the average storytelling score improved from 55 in the pre-action stage to 68 in Cycle I, and further increased to 76 in Cycle II, reaching a good category. These findings indicate that both the process and product of students' storytelling skills significantly improved through the use of animated films with character values.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the main characters in the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara by Fittriyu Siregaru and to identify the character values instilled by the protagonist. This qualitative descriptive research focuses on two main objectives: (1) to describe the main characters in the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara, and (2) to examine the character values embedded by the protagonist throughout the narrative. The data source for this study is the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara itself. The findings reveal that the protagonist embodies and promotes several key character values, which are grouped into three categories: (a) politeness, (b) diligence in worship and prayer, and (c) responsibility. These values are consistently portrayed through the protagonist’s actions and interactions, making the novel a potential medium for character education.

Abstract

This study analyzes errors in the use of Indonesian spelling in short story texts written by eleventh-grade students at SMA Nurul Ibrahimi. Common errors include the incorrect use of capital letters and punctuation that do not align with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). The causes of these errors include a limited understanding of spelling rules, the influence of informal language, and a lack of writing practice. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data consisting of students’ short story texts and secondary data from relevant literature. The results show frequent errors in the use of capital letters at the beginning of sentences, in names, and in place names. Punctuation errors often involve the use of commas, periods, and quotation marks. The study recommends practice-based learning to improve students’ skills in using correct spelling.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan afiksasi yang terdapat dalam karangan teks biografi yang ditulis oleh siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah karangan teks biografi yang ditulis oleh siswa. Sumber data dibagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer adalah teks biografi karangan siswa, sedangkan data sekunder adalah buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan data terkait dengan penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa afiksasi yang terdapat dalam teks biografi karangan siswa adalah prefiks, sufiks, dan konfiks. Kata-kata yang telah diberi afiksasi ini membentuk makna yang meliputi verba dan nomina.Kata kunci: afiksasi, morfologi, pembelajaran teks biografi

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce applications has intensified competition among various platforms. As new e-commerce platforms emerge, advertising strategies have become critical for capturing consumer attention. Language elements in advertisements play a vital role, as the rhetorical style used can significantly influence consumer interest. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using imperative speech acts in Shopee advertisements. A qualitative method was employed in this research, utilizing documentation from selected advertisements. The study analyzed three Shopee advertisement videos to identify and assess the types of imperative speech acts used. The findings reveal that Shopee advertisements prominently feature direct and literal imperative speech acts. These acts serve to encourage specific actions, such as downloading the app, making purchases, or participating in promotional campaigns, thus enhancing audience engagement. The analysis indicates that the use of imperative speech acts in Shopee advertisements is highly effective. The platform's ability to compel consumers through clear and action-oriented language contributes to its success in the competitive e-commerce market. The effectiveness is evident from the widespread adoption of the Shopee application among consumers. This study highlights the importance of strategic language use in advertising and underscores how tailored rhetorical approaches can influence consumer behavior, solidifying Shopee’s position in the e-commerce industry.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of politeness principles in Lifebuoy product advertisements, focusing on how linguistic politeness contributes to effective and ethical communication. Politeness in language plays a vital role in advertising, as it seeks to attract consumer interest while avoiding offense, ambiguity, or miscommunication. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology and a discourse analysis approach, this research delves into the strategic use of politeness elements, such as goodwill, message clarity, respect for the audience, and careful word choice, in Lifebuoy advertisements. The analysis highlights how these advertisements align with politeness principles by ensuring relevance, maintaining clarity, and employing persuasive yet respectful and culturally sensitive language. Additionally, the study identifies how these strategies foster consumer trust, reinforce brand credibility, and contribute to a positive product image. By balancing persuasive techniques with ethical communication, Lifebuoy advertisements successfully convey their messages while respecting the audience's values and expectations, offering insights into the broader implications of politeness in advertising. This research underscores the importance of integrating linguistic politeness in marketing strategies to enhance consumer engagement and brand perception.
