Abstract

Studies on multiculturalism in Indonesia generally focus more on goals than on the process of achieving them. They emphasize the importance of tolerance, mutual respect, maintaining harmony, respecting differences, and so on. Ma'had Al-Zaytun is a modern Islamic boarding school which has students from various cultural, ethnic and regional backgrounds. This diversity gave rise to a multicultural reality which was addressed appropriately by the leadership of Ma'had Al-Zaytun, Sheikh Panji Gumilang. This can be an example for society to be able to realistically respond to multiculturalism in Indonesia. Community Service activities aim to understand community awareness about responding to the multicultural reality in Indonesia, especially what is happening in Ma'had al-Zaytun. The method used to convey this understanding is through outreach to the community specifically for administrators and members of the Global Mulia Human Foundation about multiculturalism in Indonesia. The result of this activity is that the community gets clear information to address multicultural realities and can implement it into everyday life. The form of coaching that is considered the most realistic is none other than providing provision through the delivery of learning materials and activities that are considered useful for the administrators and members of the Global Mulia Human Foundation. Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self- control, personality, intelligence, noble morals, and the skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state. The national education system is all educational components that are interconnected in an integrated manner to achieve national education goals. This Community Service activity aims to provide legal counseling assistance related to educational development to the community, especially the Tangerang community. The title of this activity is "Information on Government Authority in Education Development Based on Law no. 20 of 2003 at the Perkasa Karunia Luhur Foundation, Tangerang”. Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System which provides the legal basis for regulating government authority in developing education in Indonesia. In general, the Law stipulates that the government has a central role in establishing policies, standards and strategies in developing a national education system that is equitable, just and high quality. Education is one of the important services that must be mandated by the government. From Community Service (PKM) activities carried out on March 21 2024 with the title Counseling on Government Authority in Education Development Based on Law No. 20 of 2003 at the Perkasa Karunia Luhur Foundation, Tangerang. In Law No. 20 of 2003 there are 3 education systems, namely, formal education, non-formal education and informal education. That what the Perkasa Karunia Luhur Tangerang Foundation does is included in non-formal education, because this foundation has provided non-formal education for some people who need educational services. The non-formal education that is already running at this foundation is the Religious Education Place (TPA) which is held Monday to Saturday. The aim of holding TPA is to increase knowledge about the basics of religion and moral education for students

Abstract

Creative economy counseling in Sanca Village, Gombangan Block, was held as an initial step to strengthen the political economy. Creative economy counseling discusses the strategy of the community's role in optimizing the utilization of local assets in the form of secang trees (Caesalpinnia sappan) which can be a creative economic business opportunity. Community cooperation in managing their natural resources can lead to the goal of strengthening the political economy. In order to follow up, extension activities related to the partnership-based creative economy were held, which were carried out by socializing the processing of sappan trees into herbal drink products, along with appealing to the community to succeed in the social assistance program, namely holding a bazaar of used clothes worth wearing to be distributed free of charge as a form of social care for the community. The purpose of the socialization was intended to make the community willing to become business partners, namely the community was invited to become a distributor of raw materials in the form of sappan wood as well as a retailer of finished materials in the form of ready-to-use trademarked beverage products. The method of implementing activities is door to door, meaning that the extension workers who have been determined per group, educate and socialize product knowledge to the community they meet directly by visiting houses in the Gombangan Block area. Based on the results of the extension activities, factors that caused the partnership program to be considered promising and appropriate were found, among others: First, the community's experience in participating in training to process sappan wood into valuable beverage products. Second, the community is accustomed to planting sappan trees for fencing purposes. Third, the community's fighting spirit to improve their standard of living. However, the community has not shown interest in accepting the offer to become a business partner due to the community's busy schedule as farmers and lack of time management skills

Abstract

Pluralism is an important concept in understanding diversity and the way people live side by side in harmony. Aspects of pluralism include religious diversity, recognition and acceptance of various religions and beliefs that exist in society. If we want to understand and be able to apply the values of pluralism in everyday life, we must first understand the basic values of pluralism itself. The aim of implementing this community service is to provide outreach about the application of pluralist values in Haurkolot village, Indramayu. This Community Service Activity aims to provide education regarding the application of pluralist values in Haurkolot village, Indramayu Regency. The result of this activity is to know the values of pluralism, including: tolerance, equality, dialogue, inclusiveness, and recognition of identity. These values of pluralism are very important in building a peaceful, just and harmonious society. By implementing tolerance, equality, dialogue, inclusivity, and identity recognition, we can create an environment where differences are seen as strengths, not as sources of conflict. Among the conflicts that arise in society are related to religious intolerance, such as At-Tadayyun Al- Manqus, which is a phenomenon that must be watched out for in religious life. It is important for each individual to try to understand and practice religion as a whole, so as not to be trapped in incomplete religious practices. So the benefits of pluralism in social life include increasing creativity and innovation, strengthening social cohesion, learning and self-development, reducing conflict, increasing quality of life, empowering minority groups, and economic development. Abstract

Legal protection means providing shelter to human rights that have been harmed by others, and this protection is provided by law enforcement officers to the community to ensure a sense of security. A schoolgirl who becomes pregnant out of wedlock, as part of the community, may feel her right to education revoked, where she should be the one who most deserves legal protection from the state. The right to education is enshrined in national law. Meanwhile, Islam also obliges its followers to seek knowledge. The purpose of this research is to understand legal protection of the right to education for pregnant schoolgirls out of wedlock, according to both positive law and Islamic law. The research conducted is library research based on the study and analysis of texts, employing a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The data sources used are literature data, with document analysis relevant to the research. The data obtained is then processed and analyzed in depth to gain insights or conclusions relevant to the issues being studied. The conclusion derived from this study is that the legal protection of the right to education for pregnant schoolgirls out of wedlock is written in the 1945 Constitution Article 31, which means education is a right that must be received by Indonesian citizens. The protection of pregnant schoolgirls to ensure they still receive their educational rights needs to be a focus of the government, so that no generation is left behind in education. In Islamic law, education is also very important, in accordance with the concept of maqasid shariah, particularly the principle of protecting the intellect (Hifdz al-Aql), the principle of protecting life (Hifdz al-Nafs), which can be a basis for protecting the life of a pregnant schoolgirl, and the principle of protecting offspring (Hifdz al-Nasl) to safeguard the unborn child. Abstract

Currently, numerous issues related to morality, values, and character among the younger generation are prevalent in society. This phenomenon is caused by the decline in noble national values and the erosion of nationalism and patriotism within the community. The Indonesian national anthem, "Indonesia Raya," is one means of shaping a country's national identity and serves as an expression of nationalism and patriotism. This study aims to examine the role of Ma’had Al-Zaytun in implementing the "Indonesia Raya" anthem according to Law No. 20 of 2003 and the principles of Maqashid Syariah. This research employs a literature study with a juridical-normative legal approach. Primary data sources include Law No. 20 of 2003 and the book Maqashid Syariah: Concepts, Principles, and Applications in Social Life by Fadil Salim, while secondary data sources comprise books, journals, documents, and regulations. The study discusses the role of Ma’had Al-Zaytun in implementing the "Indonesia Raya" anthem in accordance with the National Education Law No. 20 of 2003 and the principles of Maqashid Syariah. The anthem is sung daily by the Ma’had Al-Zaytun community to instill a love for the country, national pride, and unity. Additionally, on national holidays, Ma’had Al-Zaytun invites interfaith leaders to share insights on social, educational, and cultural issues to contribute to national progress. This implementation aligns with Maqashid Syariah, as Ma’had Al-Zaytun emphasizes the preservation of students' intellect and soul through a healthy lifestyle, counseling, prayer, reflection, and cognitive learning, which includes critical thinking skills and technology use in education. These initiatives aim to maintain the physical, mental, and intellectual well-being of students and develop productive and meaningful character, in accordance with Islamic teachings and national values embedded in the "Indonesia Raya" anthem. Abstract

The motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" (Unity in Diversity) reflects the effort to maintain unity in diversity, but achieving harmony is not easy. Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, yet intolerance persists. The principle of tolerance in Islam is rooted in equality, justice, and mutual respect. Syaykh Al-Zaytun promotes tolerance at Ma’had Al-Zaytun, aiming to be a center of education for tolerance and peace. The objectives of this research are to examine the perspective of Islamic law in the implementation of religious tolerance at Ma’had Al-Zaytun and to review Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution in the implementation of religious tolerance at Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach. Primary data sources were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and the book Al-Zaytun Sumber Inspirasi by Robin Simanullang. Secondary data sources include Hukum Islam by Sofyan Hasan, Tafsir Al Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab, and Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution. The results of this study indicate that Ma’had Al-Zaytun implements the principles of Maqasid Syariah, especially in protecting religion (hifdzuddin), by providing religious education that is open and tolerant towards various Islamic schools of thought and other religions. Ma’had Al-Zaytun also welcomes visits from non-Muslim guests, reflecting a commitment to interfaith cooperation and strengthening religious harmony. According to Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution, Ma’had Al-Zaytun guarantees freedom of religion, equality before the law, and encourages interfaith interactions. Ma’had Al-Zaytun plays a significant role in fostering openness, tolerance, and harmony among religious communities in society. Abstract

Providing protection to children is the most important step because children are among those who need protection. Child Protection Law Number 35 of 2014 stipulates that children have the right to be protected from crimes, such as discrimination, physical and mental violence. In the context of Islamic law, the protection of children is also discussed in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). KHI covers a variety of children's rights, including the right to maintenance, the right to education, the right to protection, and the right to inheritance. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of Law Number 35 Year 2014 to Islamic law on child protection in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. This research method uses a quantitative approach. Data collection in this study used observation and questionnaires to teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. Data analysis used in this research is validity test, reliability test, and Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between Law Number 35 Year 2014 and Islamic law in this study. This can be seen from the product moment correlation value of 0.470, which indicates a positive and significant relationship with a moderate level of relationship strength, because the coefficient value is in the coefficient interval range of 0.400 - 0.599. This finding shows that the higher the value of one variable, the greater the likelihood that the value of the other variable will increase, reflecting a significant relationship between the two variables studied. Abstract

Implementasi adalah proses pengujian dan penerapan sistem yang menghubungkan ide dengan realisasinya. Hukum di Indonesia dibentuk berdasarkan nilai masyarakat dan diterapkan melalui peraturan tertulis maupun tidak tertulis. Pembinaan kesiswaan fokus pada pengembangan potensi akademik dan karakter siswa. Fiqh Siyasah membahas hukum Islam dalam pemerintahan, sesuai syari'at. Ma’had Al-Zaytun dan Asrama Pelajar Al-Fajr mengintegrasikan pendidikan menyeluruh untuk pengembangan karakter dan pembelajaran santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pedoman kehidupan santri di Asrama Al-Fajr Ma’had Al-Zaytun berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 39 Tahun 2008 dan Siyasah Dusturiyyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan data primer yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan verifikasi di Asrama Al-Fajr Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Data sekunder mencakup pedoman kehidupan santri, peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No. 39 Tahun 2008 tentang pembinaan kesiswaan, dan Fiqh Siyasah (siyasah dusturiyyah). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pedoman kehidupan santri di Asrama Al-Fajr Ma’had Al-Zaytun telah sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No. 39 Tahun 2008, yang menekankan pentingnya pembentukan karakter, integritas, kedisiplinan, serta pengembangan potensi diri dan nilai-nilai agama. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Siyasah Dusturiyyah, pedoman ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat akidah, akhlak, ibadah, dan muamalah santri sesuai dengan syariat, guna mencetak generasi yang unggul baik secara intelektual maupun religius, serta memberikan kontribusi positif dalam bidang sosial, ekonomi, dan politik. Abstract

Law has a very important role in forming the framework of social life in society. In the context of Ma'had Al-Zaytun, law not only functions as a tool of enforcement, but also as a moral and ethical guideline that regulates interactions between individuals in society. Counseling about law as a framework for social life in the community around Ma'had Al-Zaytun is very important to increase legal awareness and create a harmonious social order. This Community Service (PkM) discusses the importance of understanding law in a social context, the counseling methods used in the community around Ma'had Al-Zaytun, as well as the expected impact of this activity. The results of this Community Service (PkM) outreach activity show that the law functions as a regulator of social behavior, a conflict mediator, and a link between local values ​​and broader legal norms.
