Abstract

In an increasingly turbulent and digitalized environment, organizational resilience has become a critical capability enabling organizations to survive and thrive amid unexpected disruptions. Drawing on the digital transformation and organizational resilience framework, this study examines the role of digital literacy as a mediating mechanism through which digital transformation enhances organizational resilience. Although prior studies highlight the importance of digital transformation in strengthening resilience, limited attention has been given to the human-capability mechanisms that explain how this relationship unfolds. Addressing this gap, the present study integrates digital literacy into the digital transformation and organizational resilience. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 224 SME owners in the retail sector in Greater Bandung and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on digital literacy, suggesting that digitally mature organizations are more likely to foster owner digital capabilities. In addition, digital transformation is found to directly and positively influence organizational resilience. Most importantly, the findings demonstrate that digital literacy partially mediates the relationship between digital transformation and organizational resilience. This suggests that digital transformation strengthens organizational resilience not only through technological and structural mechanisms, but also by enhancing their ability to effectively use and adapt digital technologies.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of educational content, podcasts, and patient testimonials on Instagram on Generation Z's willingness to seek treatment at M Hospital Jakarta. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 125 Generation Z respondents who actively use Instagram, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires containing indicators for educational content, podcasts, patient testimonials, and treatment interest variables. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the effect of each variable on treatment interest. The findings reveal that all three variables educational content, podcasts, and patient testimonials significantly influence Generation Z's interest in seeking treatment at M Hospital Jakarta. Educational content demonstrates a positive and significant effect (coefficient 0.298, p < 0.05), podcasts show a positive and significant impact (coefficient 0.352, p < 0.05), and patient testimonials exhibit a positive and significant influence (coefficient 0.287, p < 0.05). Simultaneously, these three variables account for 69.1% of the variance in treatment interest (R² = 0.691, F = 89.941, p < 0.001). These results indicate that health-related content designed attractively and educatively on social media, particularly Instagram, can enhance Generation Z's trust and motivation to utilize healthcare services, while strengthening hospital promotional strategies. This research provides valuable implications for hospitals in designing appropriate and effective social media-based promotional strategies to reach younger generations. Through engaging and educational content, podcasts, and patient testimonials, hospitals can increase treatment interest and build a positive image among Generation Z, who are increasingly active in the digital media landscape

Abstract

Low participation in the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) remains a major challenge for primary healthcare facilities, including SMC Banyusari Clinic in Denpasar. Clinic records show that the average monthly attendance rate of Prolanis participants is approximately 21.2%, which is below the minimum target of 50% set by the National Health Insurance Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). This study aims to analyze internal and external factors using a SWOT analysis to determine appropriate managerial strategies for improving the implementation of the Prolanis program at SMC Banyusari Clinic. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews involving six informants, consisting of the clinic head, Prolanis officer, and Prolanis participants. The data were analyzed using the Internal Factors Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factors Analysis Summary (EFAS) matrices. The findings indicate that the clinic’s internal strengths outweigh its weaknesses, reflected by an IFAS score of 1.31, while external opportunities exceed existing threats, with an EFAS score of 1.12. These results place the clinic in a stable growth strategic position, enabling program improvement through the optimization of internal resources and the utilization of external opportunities. Recommended managerial strategies include strengthening participant-centered health education, enhancing the role of Prolanis officers, utilizing information technology, and developing collaboration with local communities and village authorities. Implementing these strategies is expected to sustainably increase Prolanis participant attendance at SMC Banyusari Clinic.

Abstract

Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB) at Tk. II Hospital Dr. R. Hardjanto Balikpapan Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB) is an budgeting approach that links resource allocation with measurable performance outcomes, aiming to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability. This research aims to analyze how PBB is implemented at Tk. II Hospital Dr. R. Hardjanto Balikpapan (RST), identify challenges and opportunities, and determine the budgeting model applied to support the achievement of the hospital's strategic goals. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study at RST. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with relevant parties and a review of documents related to budgeting and performance reports. The research findings indicate that the implementation of PBB at RST faces several challenges, including limited understanding of the PBB concept among staff, resistance to change, lack of an integrated performance measurement system, and sub-optimal management support. However, opportunities for improvement exist through increased socialization, continuous training, development of supporting information systems, and strengthened commitment from all relevant parties. The conclusion of this research is that PBB at RST is an evolutionary process carried out gradually. The understanding of PBB is still limited among leaders and staff, but it is practically underway. The budgeting model starts with a bottom-up budget planning process, remains fixed during the budget period, and evaluations are conducted periodically through internal and external audit systems.

Abstract

Hospitals are complex organizations because they have two functions, namely as social units and profit units, in the BPJS era hospitals in Indonesia face various challenges, one of which is that the number of INACBGs claims is smaller than the hospital's operational costs. Stroke is a catastrophic disease that has serious life-threatening complications, requires intensive care long-term care, and also requires high financing. Currently, hospitals in Indonesia, especially Wava Husada Hospital, still use an inefficient and inaccurate administrative process where the determination of hospital rates still uses a conventional system. The TD ABC method can be used to support cost transparency, increase profitability, and generate more accurate unit costs. This study uses a qualitative research design with a case study type, the research object of this study is the unit cost of service for CVA Infarction patients without complications from the time the patient is admitted to the emergency room until the patient returns home from the stroke installation. analyzed using cost benefit analysis (NPV, IRR, PBP, and PI). The total unit cost is Rp 4,807,638.43. Payback Period 6 years 4 months 11 days, Profitability Index is not worth continuing because it is worth < 1, Net Present Value -Rp3,199,846,858.00 (Negative), NPV is not financially feasible because it still suffers losses, Internal Rate of Return with an internal rate of return from an investment of 2.71% (Low). The basic rate of Wava Husada Hospital for the service of one patient with CVA infarction without complications is Rp5,268,151, while with the TD ABC method the cost incurred for one patient is Rp4,807,638.43 with a difference of Rp460,512.57.

Abstract

Pricing of healthcare services is a crucial element in clinic management, influencing operational sustainability and patient access to treatment. However, pricing practices in many dental clinics are still determined conventionally based on market rates without a systematic cost calculation. This study aims to analyze Implementation Strategy of the Activity Based Costing (ABC) method in determining dental service fees at Abbasy Dental Clinic Purwokerto. A Qualitative Methods  approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, document analysis, and questionnaires administered to 50 patients and 10 clinic staff. The results indicate that the ABC method provides more accurate service cost calculations by identifying activities that generate expenses, including medical supplies (BHP), medical personnel fees, CSSD, dental equipment usage, dental unit costs, and administrative fees. The ABC-based pricing, using a 35% profit margin, resulted in final fees of IDR 226,125 for extraction, IDR 246,375 for GIC restoration, IDR 259,875 for scaling, and IDR 300,375 for composite restoration. Questionnaire results revealed positive patient perceptions regarding tariff transparency and fairness (mean > 4.18) and staff support for accuracy and efficiency in cost management (mean > 4.05). This study concludes that the ABC method can be applied as an accurate, fair pricing system that enhances patient trust and improves cost management effectiveness in dental clinics.

Abstract

The long waiting time for medication services at the Outpatient Pharmacy Depot of Mokopido Tolitoli Regional Hospital has become a major issue in improving the quality of hospital services, as it indicates inefficiencies in the human resources (HR) management of pharmacists. This study aims to evaluate HR governance at the pharmacy depot to improve the efficiency of drug services. Identified problems include workload imbalance, patient waiting times that far exceed standards, and increasing public complaints about the lengthy service process. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis as data collection techniques. Research participants included hospital leaders, medical support officers, pharmacy installation managers, as well as pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians, and outpatients. The results of the study indicate that HR governance is not yet optimal. Staff needs planning is not based on workload analysis, task division is still rigid, rotation mechanisms are unstructured, competency training is limited, and the performance evaluation system is not integrated with quantitative indicators such as prescription service waiting times. These conditions indicate a gap between managerial policies and operational needs in the field. Based on these findings, improving HR governance is a strategic step to increase service efficiency. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance of workload-based HR planning, task flexibility and rotation, and the development of measurable training and performance evaluation to support continuous improvement.

Abstract

Emergency Department (ED) services are crucial as they directly impact patient survival. A decline in ED visits at Permata Depok Hospital in 2024 and early 2025 has raised concerns, particularly related to patient complaints shared via social media. This study aims to analyse the influence of healthcare workers’ competence, doctor consultation time, and facility availability on patient complaints in the hospital’s ED. This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, involving 93 respondents selected using the Slovin formula from a population of 1,180 patients. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using chi-square tests and logistic regression. The results show that all three variables significantly affect patient complaints (p-value < 0.05), with facility availability especially basic sanitation like soap, tissue, and clean water emerging as the most dominant factor. Managerial implications include the need to prioritize supporting facilities, implement SOPs and regular sanitation audits, adopt rapid reporting systems using QR codes, and make data-driven decisions through satisfaction surveys and WASH-FIT audits. Future research is recommended to expand variables, apply mixed-methods approaches, conduct inter-hospital comparisons, and monitor intervention outcomes.
