Abstract

Background. Education at the professional stage provides the opportunity to practice several important skills, such as anamnesis, physical examination, clinical reasoning, decision-making, empathy, and professionalism, in an integrated manner. This aims to improve student competence by participating directly in the health service process, such as interacting with patients, observing doctors, understanding cases, and independent learningAims. This study aims to examine the impact of organizational culture and commitment on employee engagement and its effects on the performance of clinical educators at the teaching hospitals of the Faculty of Medicine, Swadaya Gunung Jati University. Methods. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected using a questionnaire employing a Likert scale, involving 92 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 3. Result. The study's findings indicate that corporate culture and organizational commitment positively and significantly influence employee engagement. Moreover, company culture, organizational commitment, and employee engagement exert a favorable and significant influence on the effectiveness of clinician educators. Employee engagement has been shown to mediate the relationship between organizational culture and organizational commitment and to partially enhance the impact of these factors on the performance of clinicians and educators. Conclusion. The findings suggest that enhancing organizational culture and bolstering organizational commitment can foster clinician-educator physicians' engagement, thereby positively influencing performance in education, service, research, and community outreach. This research aims to provide a foundation for teaching hospital management and for developing sustainable human resource management techniques

Abstract

Background. Financial uncertainty and cash flow dynamics in healthcare facilities require an early warning system that can detect potential financial distress quickly and accurately. PBSC Clinic, as a healthcare institution, faces financial risks stemming from fluctuations in revenue, operating expenses, and short-term and long-term liabilities. Therefore, the development of the Real Time Clinic's Financial Crisis Early Warning System (RT, CFC, EWS) is important as a managerial decision-making tool based on actual financial data. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the financial condition of PBSC Clinic and to develop a CFC EWS RT based on profitability, liquidity, leverage, and distance-to-default indicators, presented in a real-time dashboard. Method. This type of research is an evaluative-descriptive study with a case study approach. The data used are the financial statements of the PBSC Clinic for the current period, which are analyzed using financial ratios and risk zone mapping (green, yellow, red) as early warning signals. Results. The results of the study show that the CFC EWS RT dashboard can represent the clinic's financial condition in an accurate and contextual manner. This system is effective at providing an early signal of declining profitability, liquidity pressures, and increased leverage risk, allowing management to take corrective action in a relatively short time. Conclusion. RT CFC EWS plays a strategic role in supporting the financial stability and sustainability of the PBSC Clinic. Implications. Practically, this research provides implementable guidance that can be directly used by the management of PBSC Clinics and similar health facilities. The CFC EWS RT Dashboard is capable of being a simple but effective daily monitoring tool.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the training model for Medical Laboratory Technology Analysts (ATLM) in improving staff professionalism at the Mawar Clinical Laboratory in Bandung City. The research employed a qualitative case study design with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation reviews. Data analysis was conducted using the ADDIE model—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—supported by thematic coding assisted by NVivo software to enhance analytical rigor and validity. The findings indicate that the analysis phase identified the need to strengthen technical competencies, SOP comprehension, time management, and soft skills among ATLM staff. In the design phase, a competency-based training curriculum was developed according to laboratory standards. During the development phase, training modules, media, and evaluation instruments were produced and validated. Implementation was carried out through blended learning, hands-on practice, and direct supervision. The evaluation demonstrated improvements in ATLM professionalism, particularly in accuracy, discipline, SOP compliance, service quality, and work ethics. Overall, the ADDIE based training model proved relevant and effective in enhancing laboratory staff professionalism and is recommended for sustainable competency development within Mawar Clinical Laboratory.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of training programs in improving hospitality services at RSUD dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga. The study is motivated by the need to enhance hospital service quality, which should not only focus on medical aspects but also on non-medical aspects such as friendliness, empathy, and effective communication with patients and their families. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving 13 informants consisting of hospital employees, health workers, and non-health staff. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that hospitality training has been conducted regularly, covering interpersonal communication, service excellence, and the development of patient-friendly attitudes. The implementation of the training has increased employees’ awareness of patient-oriented services. However, several challenges remain, including limited training duration, lecture-dominated learning methods, unequal training opportunities for all staff including outsourced workers, and limited post-training evaluation to measure behavioral changes. Therefore, this study recommends improving interactive training design, expanding participant coverage, and strengthening continuous evaluation to ensure sustainable improvements in hospital hospitality services.

Abstract

Abstract

Delays in submitting BPJS claims are a crucial challenge in the hospital financing system, having a direct impact on cash flow and service quality. At Jannah Hospital in Serang City, this problem is chronic, with pending claims reaching hundreds of cases and receivables value of hundreds of millions of rupiah. This study aims to examine the coordination strategy between work units in preventing delays in submitting BPJS claims, using Henry Mintzberg's coordination theory approach which includes five mechanisms: mutual adjustment, direct supervision, work process standardization, output standardization, and skill standardization. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. The research informants totaled 21 people consisting of structural officials, medical staff, administration, casemix, and other related units. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis methods to identify coordination patterns and key barriers. The results of the study showed weak coordination systems across units as the main cause of delays. It was found that strengthening direct supervision and standardization of work processes is a key strategy. This study recommends the establishment of cross-unit SOPs, improved staff skills training, and integrated reporting systems as solutions to speed up and streamline the claims process.
