Abstract

Oranges are one of the most consumed fruits worldwide, and Indonesia is one of the largest orange producers globally. However, the quality of oranges in Indonesia varies widely and is heavily influenced by seasonal and weather conditions. This study aims to optimize the quality of oranges using various modern technologies in an orange orchard in Sidikalang, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach through observation and interviews. The results indicate that the use of technologies such as precision irrigation systems, soil sensors, and drones can enhance the size, color, texture, sugar content, and nutritional value of oranges. Additionally, these technologies improve production efficiency by reducing water and fertilizer use and lowering labor costs. However, the adoption of these technologies faces challenges such as high initial costs and the need for farmer training. Therefore, support from the government and financial institutions is essential to overcome these challenges and improve the quality of oranges in Indonesia.

Abstract

Effective decision making is key to achieving project success. Risk is always present in managing projects and can significantly impact the final outcome. The Expected Monetary Value (EMV) method is an important tool in managing project risk. EMV is used to calculate the monetary value of the various possible outcomes of a decision or series of decisions. In the context of project decision making, EMV helps project managers to estimate the monetary value of the risks associated with various decisions to be taken during the project cycle. This research uses a literature review type of study and the review model chosen is a narrative review. This research was conducted using a narrative review model. The research method used is secondary data collected from various international journals, papers, and previous research papers used as data sources and analyzed by the author taking into account the problems considered in this research.

Abstract

Linear programming is one of the most widely used operations research techniques in practice and is known for being easy to understand. The method in solving linear progamming on “Shafa Snack” is the graph method. The purpose of solving this linear progamming is to optimize the amount of production in obtaining maximum profit with data collection techniques through literature, observation and interviews. The optimal solution is obtained, namely the maximum profit of Rp1,875,000, with the number of duosus to be purchased from agents of 70kg and the number of basreng of 80kg. The results showed that duosus “chocolate filling” to achieve maximum profit of Rp1,875,000, with the number of snacks to be purchased at a price of Rp30,000 and a selling price of Rp40,000 per kg, resulted in a profit of Rp10,000 per kg. While basreng “spicy orange leaf” is purchased at Rp50,000 and sold for Rp65,000 per kg, with a profit of Rp15,000 per kg.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of supply chain resilience, company performance, and competitive advantage in Shopee e-commerce sellers through a phenomenological approach. Based on in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature reviews, it is concluded that supply chain resilience has a positive influence on company performance and competitive advantage for Shopee e-commerce sellers. Sellers with resilient supply chains are able to increase sales, customer satisfaction, and business growth, as well as maintain competitive advantage through reliable service, faster delivery times, and consistent product availability. Key factors contributing to supply chain resilience in the context of e-commerce include strong collaboration and communication with suppliers and business partners, adoption of digital technology in supply chain management, and flexibility and agility in responding to demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. These findings confirm the importance of supply chain resilience for e-commerce sellers in facing challenges such as demand fluctuations, logistics issues, and intense competition. Sellers with strong supply chain resilience can continue to operate and expand their businesses despite disruptions. This study provides new insights into how e-commerce sellers in Indonesia implement strategies to improve their supply chain resilience, as well as its impact on company performance and competitive advantage.

Abstract

The purpose of transportation is to determine optimal distribution patterns from various sources (supply) to various destinations (demand) to minimize overall production and transportation costs. This literature research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with literature review. The aim of this research is to provide an overview of the comparative effectiveness of the Stepping Stone Method and the Modified Distribution Method (MODI) for optimizing transportation costs. Based on the results of the study conducted using a case study example in the reference journal, the results show that the use of these two methods produces the same amount of results. However, the researcher provides a study that is: The Stepping Stone Method will be more effectively used if the transportation problem is small and simple, an optimal guaranteed solution is required, and sufficient time and resources are available for calculation. Meanwhile, the Modified Distribution Method will be more effective if: Large and complex transportation problems, Near-optimal solutions with time efficiency are required, and Users are not familiar with optimization methods.

Abstract

Making the right decisions can optimize resource utilization, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen competitive positions in the market. A decision, as a choice of action from various alternatives that fulfill one or more goals, has a significant impact on various related parties. Therefore, decision making is the main function for a leader, both in companies and public institutions. The technique of modifying data to increase its value and usefulness is known as data optimization. This entails converting unstructured data into a structured format, improving data quality, reducing duplication, and retrieving related information. This research was conducted using a narrative review model. The research method used is secondary data collected from various international journals, papers, and previous research papers used as data sources and analyzed by the author taking into account the problems considered in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and examine the effect of budgeting variables on operational efficiency in Seulawah Kupi. This research uses quantitative research methods. Data collection in this study was obtained through distributing questionnaires to employees and buyers at Seulawah Kupi. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling. The data analysis used in this study used simple linear regression. The results of this study concluded that budgeting has no significant effect on operational efficiency, in the simple linear regression test results with a significance value of 0,924> 0,05. In the classic assumption test, the normality test found 0,056> 0,05 which means the data is normally distributed. Then in the homogeneity test, the sig value is 0,213> 0,05, which means that the data is homogeneous, and in the multicollinearity test, a tolerance value of 1,000> 0,100 and VIF 1,000 < 10,00 is found, which means that the effect of budgeting on operational efficiency in Seulawah Kupi does not occur Multicollinearity.

Abstract

This research analyzes strategies for increasing sales of consumer buying interest at Eva Fashion traders, using a quantitative approach with a sample of 50 respondents selected through a purposive sampling method. Multiple linear regression analysis with a significance level of 5% shows that the three independent variables have a positive and significant influence on consumer purchasing interest, with product design as the most dominant factor (regression coefficient 0.458, p < 0.05), followed by product quality (0.325, p < 0.05) and product variance (0.217, p < 0.05). The research model produces an R2 value of 0.734, indicating that 73.4% of the variation in purchasing interest can be explained by these three variables, with the practical implication that Fashion Parking traders need to prioritize product design aspects while maintaining the quality and diversity of dance to increase business competitiveness.
