Abstract

The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digitalization of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an learning management has brought significant improvements in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the memorization process. AI technology enables personalized learning and real-time monitoring of students' memorization progress through features such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), data-driven muraja’ah systems, and adaptive feedback. However, the implementation of AI faces major challenges, including infrastructure limitations, teacher readiness, and the need to uphold ethical standards and student data privacy in accordance with Maqasid Syariah principles. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of AI implementation in Tahfidz Al-Qur'an, identify its primary benefits, and formulate optimal strategies for adopting AI in Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that the combination of traditional talaqqi methods with AI technology can create a more adaptive and innovative learning system while preserving Islamic educational values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital-based assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, and supporting documentation. The research explores how digital tools are integrated into the assessment process and how these methods align with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes holistic, student-centered learning and character development. The findings reveal that PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Ngemplak have adopted a comprehensive assessment strategy that addresses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The evaluation process follows systematic stages: planning, implementation, data processing, interpretation, and reporting. Digital tools, particularly Google Forms and Quizizz, are utilized as primary instruments for formative and summative assessments. These tools enable efficient question delivery, automatic grading, real-time feedback, and secure data storage, enhancing the overall evaluation process. However, the integration of digital assessment is not without challenges. Issues such as limited access to devices, unstable internet connectivity, and the need for increased digital literacy among students and teachers have been identified as significant barriers. Despite these obstacles, the study demonstrates a progressive shift toward digital transformation in educational assessment, even within Islamic education subjects. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on the application of educational technology in religious instruction and provides practical insights for educators and policymakers aiming to enhance assessment practices in line with the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings suggest that with adequate support and infrastructure, digital assessment can serve as an effective tool for evaluating diverse student competencies in Islamic Education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in the subject of Natural Sciences, specifically simple machines, at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level of Al Fattah Sungai Binjai Islamic Boarding School, Bungo Regency. The research was motivated by initial observations showing that mastery of simple machines material was below the minimum competency standard (KKM), with a completion percentage of only 25%. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ critical thinking, practical skills, and interest in science and technology by implementing the CTL approach. The research design employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used both qualitative and quantitative approaches to evaluate changes in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The findings revealed significant improvements in student learning outcomes. In cycle I, the cognitive aspect reached 46.42%, the affective aspect 52.85%, and the psychomotor aspect 52.51%. In cycle II, these outcomes increased to 80% for the cognitive aspect, 80.08% for the affective aspect, and 80.93% for the psychomotor aspect. The implications of this research suggest that the CTL model can effectively enhance learning outcomes in science, particularly in the topic of simple machines, and serve as a valuable strategy to support student readiness for future scientific and technological challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the efforts of students to overcome obstacles faced in memorizing the Qur'an, analyze teacher strategies in teaching and explore the role of supporters in improving students' memorization of the Qur'an at the Assalaam Modern Islamic Boarding School in Sukoharjo. The researcher used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data sources in this study were several ustadz and ustadzah, as well as several students from the tahfidz program. The study results showed that each student had a different way of memorizing, depending on the method that suited their abilities. The efforts of students to overcome obstacles in memorizing include having a firm and sincere intention, being diligent and patient, istiqomah, having one mushaf to strengthen memorization, tahsin Qur'an, and having a healthy body and mind. The strategies tahfidz teachers apply include tahsin, tahfidz, tasmi', and muraja'ah. A comfortable environment, high motivation, and adequate support facilities influence success in memorizing. There are various inhibiting factors: the influence of outside activities from non-tahfidz students, difficulty dividing time, and lack of concentration. This study is expected to provide valuable insights into improving the effectiveness of teaching Qur'an memorization in Islamic educational institutions. The study results can be used by Islamic boarding school managers to design more effective teaching strategies in the process of memorizing the Qur'an by considering the needs and characteristics of each student. In addition, the importance of motivational support and a conducive learning environment can be a concern for Islamic boarding school administrators to create an atmosphere that supports the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and globalization presents challenges for the education sector, particularly in shaping students' character and social skills. Islamic education in the digital era must adapt to learning methods that not only focus on cognitive development (hard skills) but also emphasize the enhancement of soft skills, which include social, emotional, and spiritual aspects. The hybrid IT-based learning method emerges as an innovative approach that integrates face-to-face learning with digital technology to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the hybrid IT-based method in shaping students' soft skills at SMP Islam Al Azhar Sragen and SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a comparative study method, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of hybrid IT-based learning significantly contributes to the development of students' soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, independence, leadership, critical thinking, and responsibility. Key supporting factors include technological infrastructure, teachers’ readiness to utilize digital media, and a school environment that upholds Islamic values. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include limited technology access for some students, low digital literacy among students and parents, and challenges in objectively assessing soft skills. This study provides new insights into the effectiveness of the hybrid IT-based method in Islamic education and offers strategic recommendations for its optimization. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for Islamic schools in developing learning models that align with modern educational advancements while preserving Islamic values in character building.
