Abstract

Background:Psychosocial factors have become a major concern in occupational health. Changes that occur in the labor market, namely increased globalization, competition, flexibility, and new forms of work organization. Objective:The purpose of this study was to describe the psychosocial factors on the performance of health workers in Puskesmas X Makassar City.Method:This research method is a descriptive quantitative research with a population of all health workers at Puskesmas X Makassar City as many as 55 people using total sampling. The collected data were then analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Result:The results of data analysis showed that the majority of health workers at Puskesmas X Makassar City experienced severe stress as much as 50.9%, heavy loads as much as 65.5%, and mild fatigue as much as 67.3% with optimal good quality performance. This illustrates that health workers experience psychosocial factors that have a positive impact on performance, and to produce good performance.Conclusion:It is necessary to create a psychosocial environment so that individuals feel comfortable in groups and organizations, showing high productivity and improving the quality of work.

Abstract

Background: According to the Indonesian National Standard number 03-3985-2000, fire is a phenomenon that occurs when a material reaches a critical temperature and reacts chemically with oxygen to produce heat, flames, light, water vapor, carbon monoxide, or other products and effects. Fires are caused by various factors, either due to human factors or technical factors.Objective: This study aims to determine the application of fire management system audits in RS X Regency Y. Method:With a qualitative method through a case study approach.Determination of informants using the snowball method. Data collection was carried out by observation and in-depth interviews which were processed using content analysis, and triangulation of sources and methods was carried out.Result:The results showed that RS X had formed a fire organization by-laws and regulations, fire procedures did not run well when a fire broke out, and during the simulation, there were still technical obstacles when using fire tools.Conclusion:It is hoped that the management of X Regency Y Hospital will pay more attention to planning, training, and providing fire disaster preparedness.

Abstract

Background:Medical error is a threat to every patient who wants to take care, therefore the importance of patient safety culture is applied in every hospital to keep patients safer in terms of health careObjective:This research describes the overview of role teamwork dimension, adequate staffand health workers’ perception of patient’s safety culturein the hospitalization unit of Dr. Tajuddin Chalid Hospital of MakassarMethod: It uses a descriptive quantitative approach to explain the issue. The research samples consist of 107 health workers stationed at the hospitalization unit by utilizing the purposive sampling techniqueResult: The findings show that the patient safety culture falls into a moderate category (57.0%). Teamwork on moderate category 55,1%, adequate staff on moderate category (65.4%), and health workers’ perception of patient’s safety on moderate category (77.6%)Conclusion: This research concludes that the safety culture in the hospitalization unit of Dr. Tajuddin Chalid Hospital of Makassar is classified moderate, signifying that the health workers have practiced the patient safety culture by the Patient Safety Standards (PSS) despite some lacking in several areas. It also encourages following the SOP by conducting training and workshops for the health workers.

Abstract

Background: To improve safety and health in the work environment, prevention needs to be taken with attention to psychosocial in the workplace. This is because the workplace is a source of psychosocial risk and also an ideal place to deal with these risks in protecting the health and well-being of workers.Objective: This research aims to know the picture of values in the workplace,interpersonal and leadership relationships, work for an organization, and work content in the workplace at the employees of Hotel X Makassar City.Method: The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. Sampling was conducted by the Total Sampling method of 56 respondents.Result: The results of the study found that 19.6% of categories lack values in the workplace, 12.5% of employees have fewer interpersonal and leadership relationships and the organization of work and work content is 12.5% less.Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that values in the workplace have not been fairly distributed, the lack of social support from colleagues in aspects of interpersonal relationships and leadership, work organization, and worker work content is still lacking in contributing to the organization in the workplace. Therefore, it is expected that the company adjusts between working capacity and workload

Abstract

Background:operator Air Traffic Controller (ATC) or air traffic guide is a job that is responsible for flight safety so that the aircraft can fly safely without any aircraft accidents from departing to arriving at the destination, which is at risk of experiencing work stress.Objective: This study aims to describe the qualitative workload, career development and personal responsibility for the risk of work stress on ATC operators. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive approach.Methods:The population in this study were all ATC operators at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar as many as 67 people. Sampling was carried out using themethod Total Sampling of 67 respondents. Measurement of Work Stress using a questionnaire instrument Stress Diagnosis Survey (SDS).Results:The results showed that ATC operators experienced moderate work stress as much as 52.2%, qualitative workload in the medium category by 71.6%, career development in the moderate category as much as 59.7% and personal responsibility in the moderate category by 53.7%.Conclusion:ConclusionQualitative workload, career development, and personal responsibility of ATC operators are all in the medium category, most of them experience moderate work stress, especially the Tower work unit, and the dominant work stress risk factor is qualitative workload.It is recommended thatmanagement should routinely conduct training related to ATC so that operator skills are updated according toneeds ofthethe independent variables are not related to student stress levels.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Salah satu wilayah yang mayoritas penduduknya bekerja sebagai petani adalah masyarakat Suku To Bentong di Desa Bulo-bulo, Kabupaten Barru, Sulawesi Selatan. Petani suku To Bentong masih bertani dan bercocok tanam dengan cara tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui penggunaan APD saat bertani, postur kerja dan keluhan MSDs yang dialami oleh petani, serta pola pencarian pengobatan yang dilakukan oleh petani Suku To Bentong di Desa Bulo-Bulo Kabupaten Barru. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dimana metode yang diterapkan adalah metode etnografi, sementara teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam (indepth interview), dan dokumentasi. Sumber informasi dari penelitian ini terdiri dari informan utama (6 orang petani Suku To Bentong) dan informan kunci (Kepala Suku To Bentong, Kepala Desa Bulo-Bulo, Kepala Dusun Bulo-Bulo, dan kepala Puskesmas Bulo-Bulo). Hasil: penelitian yang diperoleh melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam (Indepth Interview) dengan informan utama dan informan kunci, ditemukan bahwa petani Suku To Bentong masih kurang mengetahui dan memahami Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) seperti pada saat petani turun ke sawahnya, hanya memakai APD. Pada saat dilakukan observasi para petani lebih suka tidak memakai alas kaki. Para petani percaya bahwa ritual yang dilakukan dapat memberikan keselamatan selama bekerja meski tidak dengan menggunakan APD. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan bahwa keluhan yang paling sering dirasakan oleh para petani terkait Postur Kerja dan MSDs ialah nyeri di daerah persendian, pinggul, dan leher bagian belakang, serta terluka akibat terkena benda-benda tajam seperti besi-besi dari traktor, alat untuk memotong padi, dan kayu-kayu yang secara tidak sengaja didapatkan di area persawahan. Sedangkan hasil penelitian terkait Pola Pencarian pengobatan petani Suku To Bentong, petani lebih suka pengobatan tradisional dibandingkan harus ke pelayanan kesehatan. Hal ini dikarenakan, pengobatan tradisional lebih mudah didapatkan dan bisa cepat pengolahannya, jarak menuju pelayanan kesehatan cukup jauh, serta medan yang harus ditempuh hanya bisa dilalui oleh kendaraan roda dua.

Abstract

Latar Belakng: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang banyaknya kasus kecelakaan kerja di atas kapal yang 80% disebabkan oleh Human error dan sisanya oleh kondisi kapal yang tidak laik layar dan cuaca yang tidak terduga. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan unsafe action dan unsafe condition dengan kecelakaan kerja pada awak kapal penyeberangan Bira-Pamatata. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan metode cross-sectional study. Sebanyak 48 responden berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini yang diambil secara total sampling. Data bersumber dari hasil kuesioner berdasarkan informasi dari awak kapal penyeberangan Bira-Pamatata. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji regresi binary logistik. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis kecelakaan kerja yang terjadi pada awak kapal Penyeberangan Bira - Pamatata berupa terperosok, terpeleset, terjepit, tersayat/tergores, tertimpa benda jatuh, dan tersandung. Unsafe action berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kecelakaan kerja (p=0,013 < 0,05). Sementara unsafe condition tidak berhubungan dengan kecelakaan kerja pada awak kapal penyeberangan Bira-Pamatata (p=0,703 > 0,05). Kesimpulan: Dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa unsafe action berhubungan dengan kecelakaan kerja sedang unsafe condition tidak berhubungan dengan kecelakaan kerja. Sebagai saran, sebaiknya memberikan informasi dan edukasi terkait unsafe action khususnya penggunaan APD saat bekerja dan terkait unsafe condition terutama pemasangan rambu-rambu bahaya pada tempat yang berisiko terjadinya kecelakaan kerja pada awak kapal maupun kecelakaan pada penumpang kapal penyeberangan.

Abstract

In the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, nurses are professionals in the health sector who have to work and provide nursing services during the Covid-19 pandemic and always interact with patients who are positive for Covid-19 so as to increase the mental workload of nurses. The mental workload of nurses should be within normal limits. This study aims to describe the mental workload of female nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The population in the study were all female nurses on duty at Hospital X with a total sample of 22 nurses using purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria, namely female nurses in charge of handling Covid-19 and the ICU room. The results showed that the mental workload felt by female nurses was in the high category of 17 (77.3%) and very high category of 5 (22.7%). The mental workload of nurses is in the high category and the indicator of the NASA-TLX method is the most dominant on the mental workload of nurses in Hospital X, namely the time requirement indicator of 21.75%. Suggestions in this study are for nurses to manage their time as housewives and workloads and provide the best care during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Pengembangan pangan lokal sangat penting untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan masyarakat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam pengolahan pangan lokal kaya protein binto’ toeng (cajanus cajan) potensial pencegahan stunting di Desa Rappoala Kecamatan Tompobulu Kabupaten Gowa berbasis pendampingan kelompok tani. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui tahapan pembuatan tepung binto’ toeng, tahapan persiapan pelatihan, dan tahapan pelatihan pembuatan produk berupa putu binto’ toeng. Tahapan pembuatan tepung dimulai dengan perendaman binto’ toengselama 24 jam. Selanjutnya binto’ toengdi kukus selama ±15 menggunakan presto. Kemudian binto’ toengditiriskan dan dijemur di bawah sinar matahari. Binto’ toengdigiling hingga halus kemudian diayak. Tahapan persiapan pelatihan dilakukan dengan menyiapkan semua alat dan bahan yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat putu binto’ toeng. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 10 petani wanita yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani desa Rappoala. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme masyarakat untuk mengetahui cara penepungan binto’ toengdan potensinya dijadikan produk berupa kue. Minat masyarakat terkait penggunaan binto’ toenguntuk dibuat menjadi produk kue menjadi meningkat dengan adanya pelatihan pembuatan tepung dan pembuatan produk.

Abstract

Weavers have various work risks in weaving in the form of fatigue effects which can be caused by monotonous work postures for long periods of time. The purpose of this study was to determine work fatigue and its management according to local perceptions of ethnic Bugis weavers in OHS perspective. This research is an analytic descriptive study related to work fatigue in weavers. Subjective measurement of work fatigue uses the Japan Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionnaire, including measurements of weakening activities, weakening of motivation, and physical fatigue of workers. consisting of 30 point statements. Sampling in this study used a total sampling technique, namely the entire population as a sample of 141 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and chi-square with α=0.05. The results showed that 7 weavers (5%) experienced very high fatigue, 87 weavers (61.7%) experienced high fatigue, and 47 weavers (33.3%) experienced moderate fatigue. As for the treatment of fatigue based on local wisdom that is usually done is massaged by a family member or massage therapist (22.6%), taking herbal medicine (7.8%), and just letting it go (18.4%). For future researchers, they can examine the effectiveness of fatigue recovery based on local wisdom that has been practiced so far. Keywords : Fatigue, Weavers, Bugis Ethnic, OHS
