Abstract

This inquiry endeavors to scrutinize contemporary breakthroughs in the realm of deep learning and their pragmatic utilizations within the educational sphere. To navigate prevailing  impediments, the investigation is executed via a bibliographic examination. The deductions unveil that in recent epochs, artificial intelligence (AI) has undergone an expeditious proliferation. Endeavors formerly deemed exceedingly intricate and formidable for human cognition to unravel are now deftly managed with AI’s intervention. This extraordinary innovation has garnered substantial acclaim owing to its capacity to emulate the cognitive assimilation of the human intellect through neural architectures. Comprehensively, AI is presently categorized into two principal subdivisions: Deep Learning and Machine Learning. Both of these technological paradigms have been instrumental in engendering transformative shifts across multifarious sectors, with particular emphasis on pedagogy. AI-driven mechanisms are increasingly assimilated into scholastic establishments to bolster operational efficacy, curtail expenditures, and cultivate fiscal lucidity by furnishing a perspicuous delineation of monetary inflows and outflows. Furthermore, AI empowers institutions to address exigencies with heightened alacrity and precision, thereby augmenting the overarching caliber of didactic and administrative undertakings. Owing to its extensive promise, AI remains an indispensable domain of inquiry and implementation, with deep learning spearheading its relentless progression.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Batam. This research is based on the students' writing skills that have not been fully trained in writing activities. Even students have limitations in using the right diction. This is because students have less interest in reading so that their absorption in using diction does not support writing activities. Students in doing assignments or exercises to hone their abilities only rely on student worksheets known as LKS. Writing scientific papers that require seriousness and brilliant ideas can apply the cooperative learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). CIRC is right for improving students' skills in solving problem-solving questions. In the application of CIRC, teacher dominance in learning is reduced. Students are motivated to produce results carefully because they work in groups. Furthermore, students can understand and check each other's work and help weak students. As a result, the CIRC model enhances learning outcomes, particularly in addressing problem-solving tasks. This research employs a qualitative approach through classroom action research. The objective is to enhance the learning process and boost students’ performance in writing scientific papers by utilizing the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) strategy. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: First, the improvement in diction usage when writing scientific papers by students of class XI-IS1 at SMA Negeri 4 Batam was effectively implemented in both Cycle I and Cycle II. Second, the integration of the CIRC model in teaching scientific writing significantly enhanced students’ writing abilities. This progress is reflected in the average scores across the cycles: 58.92 in the pre-cycle, 74.07 in Cycle I, and 83.28 in Cycle II.

Abstract

A study on the black oil pollution crisis [Sludge Oil] is detrimental to the island community, a proof from the island of Bintan that occurs and continues every year. This study contributes to a deep understanding that the black oil pollution crisis [Sludge Oil] in Bintan is not a trouble, but has become an issue in the theoretical context. So this is not just a regional problem, but has concerned a national issue about this black oil waste crisis. This study focuses on an argument question: "How does the Black oil pollution crisis [Sludge Oil] harm the island community? Evidence from the island of Bintan?". To answer this, a qualitative method is needed by analyzing the distribution of data on the internet and data from online news about the black oil pollution crisis harming the island community. The results of the study show that the black oil crisis [Sludge Oil] in the islands is very detrimental to the income of fishing communities, harms the ecosystem where the island community lives and harms tourism in the Bintan Islands. The implications of the black oil pollution crisis that occurred in the Bintan Islands are shown by the death of marine biota and pollution of mangrove forests, as well as the dirtiness of the sea and beaches due to the black oil waste. This research recommends intensifying central and regional surveillance of international sea lanes to detect criminals on ships intentionally dumping sludge oil. Keywords: Crisis, Sludge Oil Pollution, Harm to Island Communities.
