Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease that was first discovered in China where it spreads very quickly until it was recorded that until January 28, 2021, 1 million Indonesians were exposed to the virus with the highest number of cases in Southeast Asia. Every citizen has the right to be given protection by the government from this case. The right to health is a derivative of human rights that must be protected. In dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has implemented various legal rules, including government regulations implementing Law Number 1 of 2020, State Finance and Financial System Stability policies during the 2019 Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) and government regulations number 21 of 2020. 2020 is the date of Mass Social Restrictions in the Context of Acceleration (PSBB) for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). The government has also implemented PSBB and Physical Distancing policies, but these policies have not been effective in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19. The method used in this study is a descriptive normative juridical research method by providing solutions for handling COVID-19 in Indonesia. This study concludes that the legal politics (PSBB and physical distancing) achieved by the government in handling COVID-19 are not in accordance with Article 28 H paragraphs (1) and 34 of the 1945 Constitution paragraphs (2) and (3).

Abstract

Pancasila is mentioned as the basis of the philosophy of the State. Understanding the narrow and limited meaning of Pancasila has resulted in polemics in the life of the nation and state, especially in Pancasila education. This study aims to analyze the debate and dynamics of Pancasila education from the aspects of legitimacy, recognition, and institutionalization. This research is philosophical research, using qualitative research methods through literature review. The analysis in this study used critical discourse analysis. The research process includes data inventory, data categorization, and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the debate about Pancasila education since the post occurred from the framework of the legitimacy of power, there has been a dualism of legitimacy between the executive and the legislature. Based on the recognition aspect, Pancasila education has not yet received adequate recognition from the state and educational institutions. From the institutional aspect, efforts to institutionalize the values of Pancasila from the educational aspect still encounter problems because there is no certainty in placing Pancasila under what kind of institution.

Abstract

Abortion, as an intentional act of terminating pregnancy, focuses on various reasons, including maternal health conditions, fetal abnormalities, pregnancies resulting from rape, and economic and social factors. Abortion is considered a significant public health issue, particularly due to its substantial impact on maternal morbidity and mortality. This study also highlights the importance of considering values and ethics in abortion decision-making, emphasizing the role of an axiological approach. The research method is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The findings indicate that abortion decisions are influenced by economic factors, marital status, and psychosocial aspects. An axiological approach is crucial for considering ethical and moral values in abortion decisions.
