Abstract

The Nigerian education system plays a crucial role in shaping the nation's future. However, over the years, there have been concerns about the effectiveness and relevance of the curriculum in preparing students to face rapidly changing global challenges. This research aims to explore the weaknesses within the current Nigerian curriculum and propose strategies to reshape it to drive sustainable national development. It is a comprehensive and systematic literature review, a critical step to thoroughly understand the challenges within Nigeria's curriculum and identify potential improvement strategies. This research allows for a comprehensive synthesis of scholarly articles, governmental reports, and educational publications, establishing a strong foundation for subsequent methodologies. The study begins by analyzing the current state of the Nigerian curriculum, highlighting its limitations and shortcomings. It delves into how the curriculum inadequately addresses critical skills and competencies needed by the 21st-century workforce, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy. The study emphasizes the need for continuous evaluation mechanisms and feedback to ensure the effectiveness of the modified curriculum. Regular assessments and monitoring systems should be implemented to measure the impact of curriculum changes and identify areas for improvement. By addressing these deficiencies and integrating relevant and practical skills, the curriculum can better prepare students to face future challenges.

Abstract

Having a SMART research focus is essential for researchers to achieve the desired results. By being specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound, researchers can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their research. This study aims to explore the importance of having a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) research focus. This study used a descriptive-analytical approach by collecting data through literature review and analysis of existing research. The collected data is analyzed qualitatively by reading, understanding, and synthesizing relevant information. The results of this study show that a SMART research focus can increase research productivity, improve decision-making processes, and increase the chances of obtaining meaningful results. In conclusion, by adopting the SMART framework researchers can maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of research results significantly. Thus, this study provides a better understanding of the importance of having a SMART research focus and has implications for more effective and efficient research in the future.

Abstract

Secondary schools have long been plagued by issues of poor maintenance, resulting in dilapidated infrastructure, limited resources and a subpar learning environment for students. To address this pressing issue, it is crucial to adopt strategic approaches that focus on improving maintenance practices and ensuring the long-term sustainability of these schools. This study aims to analyze the key challenges faced by Nigerian public secondary schools in terms of maintenance and presents innovative solutions that can help build a better future for education in the country. The research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A literature search was conducted through academic databases, such as PubMed, ERIC, and Google Scholar. It is essential to establish a comprehensive system for monitoring and evaluating the maintenance of public secondary schools. The government should allocate a significant portion of the education budget to address infrastructure maintenance and ensure that funds are properly utilized. This investment will help to improve the physical condition of schools and create a conducive learning environment for students. By involving the community in the maintenance process, a sense of ownership and responsibility can be fostered, leading to better maintenance practices.

Abstract

The systematic collection and analysis of data relevant to the field of education are referred to as educational research. Research writing is a laborious practice that methodically approaches the solution to a given research challenge. It differs from educational institutions and is typically led by a format. This study aims to analyze methodological explanation of variables, background to the study, literature review & research design as ways of promoting vigorous scholarship. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The results of this research explain many types of in-depth research methodology. These resources' main goal is to assist young academics and education professionals in learning about the background of the study, literature review, research design, and methodological explanation of variables. Educational research plays a crucial role in the development and improvement of educational practices and policies. It enables educators and policymakers to make informed decisions based on evidence and data. These offer beneficial fundamental knowledge for those who wish to pursue careers as researchers.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of diversity tactics in dismantling classism, emphasizing the intersection between inclusive practices and social change. The objective is to examine how diversity initiatives, particularly those rooted in religious values of justice, compassion, and social responsibility, can challenge systemic class hierarchies. Methodologically, this research employs discourse analysis to critically assess existing literature on classism, its impact on marginalized communities, and the socioeconomic factors that sustain systemic inequities. The study explores diversity strategies implemented in educational institutions, corporate environments, and community organizations, integrating religious perspectives to highlight ethical imperatives for social equity. The findings reveal that initiatives such as affirmative action, equitable hiring practices, and community engagement effectively disrupt entrenched class structures. However, challenges such as tokenism, backlash, and resistance from dominant groups hinder their full implementation. The research underscores the necessity of adopting an intersectional approach, acknowledging how race, gender, and other social identities interact with class to create unique barriers. Religious teachings on economic justice, charity, and solidarity further reinforce the moral obligation to address class disparities. Theoretically, this study contributes to discussions on social equity by bridging diversity tactics with faith-based ethical principles, demonstrating how religious frameworks can enhance and legitimize efforts to combat classism. It calls for collaboration among policymakers, educators, faith leaders, and community advocates to foster environments where equitable access to opportunities and resources is recognized as a shared moral and social responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic perspective on hoaxes and explore Qur'anic solutions for building a society resistant to misinformation. The phenomenon of hoaxes has existed throughout history, driven by various interests, as seen in the hadith al-ifk incident, where Siti Aisyah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, was falsely accused of adultery by hypocrites to divide the Muslim community. In the contemporary era, hoaxes have become deeply embedded in society due to the rapid dissemination of misinformation through social media, leading to significant individual and societal harm. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method, utilizing normative and sociological theological perspectives. The data collection technique follows a heuristic model, while data analysis is conducted using a descriptive approach. The findings indicate that the Qur'an provides clear guidance on countering hoaxes by emphasizing the obligation of tabayyun (verification) and ethical communication. The study also highlights that hoaxes not only harm individuals but also destabilize societal and state structures. Therefore, fostering an anti-hoax society requires internalizing Qur'anic ethical principles that encourage truthfulness, critical thinking, and responsible communication. Contribution: Theoretically, this research contributes to Islamic studies by integrating normative Qur'anic principles with contemporary social issues, demonstrating the Qur'an’s relevance in addressing modern challenges. Furthermore, the study offers practical insights for developing a resilient society capable of resisting the spread of misinformation.
