Abstract

This study is a research and development that was conducted through four steps and is mentioned as a “Four-D Model”, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The aim of this research is to produce instructional model, that is a starter experiment based on environmental materials and supporting of instructional model, including: experiment guidance, student worksheet and instrument of evaluation. The product of this research is the syntax of instructional model that consist of six steps and supporting of the model, namely three supplement books for Elementary School. The titles of the books are “Science Skill” for 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade”. The instructional model and its supporting were validated by expert’s team and they were categorized in valid that are 88.40% for instructional model and 84.66% for the supporting of the instructional model. Try out result that conducted through the pre-experiment results showed that: 1) the instructional model and its supporting could be used by both the teacher and the student; 2) Apply the model and its supporting increase the activity, interest, scientific attitude, skill of science process, and the student’s achievement. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang dilakukan melalui empat tahap yang dikenal dengan “Four-D Model” yaitu define, design, develop, and disseminate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran berbasis bahan-bahan di lingkungan sekitar serta perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi, Panduan Eksperimen, Lembar Kerja Siswa, dan Alat Evaluasi. Luaran penelitian adalah sintaks model pembelajaran 6 langkah dan perangkat pembelajaran berupa tiga buah buku suplemen IPA SD dengan judul “Terampil Sains” untuk kelas 4, 5, dan 6. Hasil validasi model dan perangkat pembelajaran oleh tim akhli menunjukkan bahwa model dan perangkat pembelajaran termasuk katagori valid dengan persentasi validitas masing-masing: 88,40% dan 84,66%. Hasil ujicoba melalui penelitian pra eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa: 1) model dan perangkat pembelajaran digunakan dengan baik oleh guru dan siswa; 2) penerapan model pembelajaran akan meningkatkan aktivitas, minat dan sikap ilmiah, keterampilan proses sains, dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce learning tools in the form of handouts and Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on a scientific approach to cell division material for class XII SMA that are valid and practical, using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis (analyze), design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research location is at SMAN 1 Wonomulyo, Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi. The research subjects were Biology teachers and class XII students of SMA 1 Wonomulyo. The assessment of the validity of the handouts and worksheets was carried out by two expert validators using a validation sheet. The practicality of the handouts and LKPD were assessed based on the responses of two teachers and 31 students using a questionnaire. The results showed that the average score of the total validity of the handouts and LKPD were 3.50 and 3.53, respectively, with a very valid category. The value of the practicality of the handouts based on the responses of teachers and students are 95.00% and 91.45%, respectively, in the very practical category. The practical value of the LKPD based on the responses of teachers and students is 93.75% and 91.13%, respectively, in the very practical category. It was concluded that the handouts and worksheets based on the scientific approach that were developed were stated to be very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model Discovery Learning ditinjau dari kemandirian dan hasil belajar siswa SMA kelas XI pada materi sistem gerak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan one group pre-test-post-test. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan satu kelas yang terpilih (kelas XI MIA 3) yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu berupa tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal dan soal uraian sebanyak 5 butir soal. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisa data deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai rata-rata post-test kemandirian belajar siswa yaitu 78 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata pre-test kemandirian belajar siswa yaitu 44 (2) nilai rata-rata post-test hasil belajar siswa yaitu 80 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata pre-test hasil belajar siswa yaitu 40. Selanjutnya, nilai N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemandirian belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan sedang, dominan berada pada kategori sedang 83%) sehingga sebanyak 30 peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dan/atau tinggi (100%) (2) hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan sedang, dominan berada pada kategori sedang (70%) sehingga sebanyak 30 peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dan/atau tinggi (100%). Berdasarkan hasil analisa data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning efektif ditinjau dari kemandirian dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak di kelas XI SMA 1 Parepare.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum is one way for the government to improve the quality of education inIndonesia. In its implementation, the 2013 curriculum promotes a scientific approach (Scientific Approach) in its learning. Oneof the materials in learning Biology is Biotechnology, which in its implementation is still rarely carried out practicum because oflimited knowledge and raw materials. Kefir is one of the conventional biotechnology products that can use milk raw materials(one of the superior products in the Enrekang Regency). Kefir is formed after milk is fermented using kefir seeds in a way that issimpler than other conventional biotechnology products. The introduction of kefir making needs to be done to teachers andstudents of Enrekang Regency to support learning Biotechnology materials. This activity was carried out on 19-20 July 2019, atEnrekang Public High School 2 with participants coming from teachers and students from various junior and senior high schoolsin Enrekang Regency. The activity was attended by 13 participants and has succeeded in providing knowledge about theimportance of practicing kefir to support learning Biotechnology in schools. In addition, the participants were also able toformulate the title / theme of kefir-based research for the preparation of scientific papers.

Abstract

Bokashi compost production is carried out at the Biology Experimental Farm Laboratory as part of the Campus Intellectual Product Development Program (PPUPIK) which is one of the community service programs (PKM) of the Ministry of Research and High Education (Kemenristekdikti). This is motivated by problems encountered: (1) There is still a lack of good quality compost on the market, (2) Makassar has many horticultural and ornamental plant tips so that the demand for compost is also high, (3) compost production sites in Makassar is relatively small so that most compost in the market is obtained from other regions, thus increasing transportation costs and ultimately the price is more expensive. The method used is apprenticeship practical work, demonstrations, Forum Group discussions (FGD), and consultation. The results achieved are (1) apprentices have knowledge of compost, planting media and nutrition for good plant growth and development, (2) Apprentices have the skills to make Bokashi compost, (3) Apprentices have good production and marketing management skills good, (4) Producing bokashi compost that has good quality and adequate quantity.

Abstract

This devotion was carried out at SMP Negeri 1Benteng Kep. Selayar and attended by teachers in Benteng andSelayar Islands Senior High School and Senior High School inorder to improve understanding, skills, and innovation inpreparing evaluation questions using the Wondershare QuizCreator program. In this Community Partnership programtraining activities have been conducted to create interactiveICT-based questions. The results obtained from these programactivities are responses of all participants who have been ableto compile interactive questions that are innovative and variedindependently so that a varied and enjoyable evaluationactivity will be formed. Another advantage is that the teachercan make interactive computer-based questions.

DOWNLOAD PDFThe research was a descriptive study to see how the student learning achievement of bidik misi awardees at the beginning of academic year 2010/2011. Population and sample in this study were all students which received bidik misi scholarship at Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, Makassar State University (FMIPA UNM). Method collecting data by taking the documentary secondary of GPA at beginning semester. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical and categorized according academic guidance of Departement of Biology FMIPA UNM year 2010. Study showed that the average learning achievement of students were very satisfactory with average GPA 3.01. There were 12.28% of students who in honors category (cumlaude, GPA 3.51 to 4,00). While, 57.89% of students in category of very satisfactory (GPA 2.76 to 3.50), and 26.32% in the category satisfying (GPA 2.50 to 2.75). Nevertheless, there have about 1.75% of students in the category enough (GPA 2.00 to 2.49), and also 1.75% of students in less category (GPA 0.00 to 1.99). Abstract

 The aim of this study is to find out the effectiveness of quantum learning model implementation based on student’s learning style for circulation system matter in the XI grade science students of SMAN 1Bontosikuyu Selayar Island. This research was pre-experimental research with one-group pretest-posttest research design. The population of this study was all the XI grade science students of SMAN 1Bontosikuyu. The sampling technique was saturated sampling that all the XI grade science students consisted of 24 students as the sample. The research instruments were learning style questioner, multiple-choice and essay  questions of student’s achievement, and activity observation paper. The increase of value from pre-test to post-test was found out through N-gain calculation, with the effectiveness criteria which were ≥ 75% of the total of students based on the learning style that obtained N-gain in middle to high category. The result of this  study showed that were visual learners students 58.33%, auditory learners 25%, kinesthetic learners 4.17%, visual-kinesthetic learners 8.33% and auditory-kinesthetic learners 4.17%. All students of each learning style were able to meet the criteria of effectiveness in this research. It can be concluded that the implementation of quantum learning method based on student’s learning style was effective for circulation system matter in the XI grade science students SMAN 1 Bontosikuyu. Student’s activity during the learning process by quantum learning method was in very good category.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu pusat bagi keanekaragaman hayati dunia, baik hewan dan tumbuhan. Tumbuhan berbiji (Spermatophyta) merupakan golongan tumbuhan yang mempunyai keanekaragaman jenis tinggi yang dapat ditemukan dan diamati secara langsung dari lingkungan sekitar salah satunya pada pekarangan rumah. Spermatophyta merupakan kelompok tumbuhan yang memiliki ciri utama yaitu terdapat organ berupa biji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis Spermatophyta yang terdapat pada pekarangan rumah warga di Kelurahan Lapajung, Kecamatan Lalabata, Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deksriptif dan eksploratif, yang dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, dan mendeksripsikan data yang diperoleh secara sistematis, faktual, dan akurat tentang fakta dan ciri-ciri Spermatophyta yang terdapat pada pekarangan rumah di Kelurahan Lapajung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil identifikasi diperoleh 86 spesies Spermatophyta dan dikelompokkan dalam 44 familia dengan rincian satu spesies Gymnospermae, dan 85 spesies dari Angiospermae yang terdiri dari 37 spesies monokotil (Liliopsida) dan 48 spesies dikotil (Magnoliopsida).

Abstract

Abstrak. Pengenalan tanaman anti nyamuk untuk mencegah penyakit demam berdarah dongue (DBD) sangat penting dilakukan. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan dan pemahaman pada kelompok masyarakat tani perempuan tentang jenis-jenis tanaman pengusir nyamuk. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui suatu pelatihan dengan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi , dan tanya jawab. Metode ceramah untuk menjelaskan materi terkait dengan jenis-jenis tanaman pengusir nyamuk, dan bahaya penyakit demam berdarah (DBD). Metode diskusi untuk mendiskusikan hal-hal yang perlu dibahas, dan melalui diskusi diharapkan diperoleh solusi yang tepat bagaimana lingkungan masyarakat tetap sehat tanpa pernggunaan bahan-bahan kimia. Selanjutnya metode tanya jawab berkaitan dengan materi pelatihan atau hal-hal di luar materi yang belum dipahami. Kegiatan pelatihan pengenalan tanaman anti nyamuk untuk mencegah penyakit demam berdarah dongue (DBD), berjalan dengan baik dengan beberapa kesimpulan; 1) Masyarakat sangat perlu dengan ide-ide yang membuat keberdayaan dalam  mencegah demam berdarah; 2) Mengenal tanaman anti nyamuk yang bertujuan supaya mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat; 3) Meminimalisir penggunaan bahan kimia dalam mencegah demam berdarah dan mendukung lingkugan yang sehat; 4) Menanam jenis-jenis tanaman anti nyamuk sebagai suatu upaya turut serta dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Kata Kunci: Tanaman Anti Nyamuk, Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD), Pelatihan
