Abstract

Program Pemberdayaan Umat (Prodamat) ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi diri siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. Fenomena ini menjadi perhatian bagi sekolah karena berpengaruh pada prestasi belajar siswa. Perencanaan pada siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan juga masih tergolong lemah. Artinya siswa masih belum memahami minat pada dirinya, sehingga siswa masih bingung untuk memilih jenjang selanjutnya. Prodamat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi diri dalam belajar pada siswa dan membantu siswa merancang perencanaan karir untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang selanjutnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan prodamat ini adalah ceramah dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Objek prodamat ini siswa kelas 8 SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan prodamat ini ialah 129 siswa. Kemudian hasil dari penilaian motivasi diri belajar pada siswa menunjukkan nilai -6,395 dan perencanaan karir -5,540 dengan taraf signifikan 0,000 (p<0,01). Setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan prodamat ini diperoleh hasil yaitu pertama, motivasi diri pada siswa mengalami peningkatan dan kedua, siswa lebih matang dalam merancang perencanaan karir kedepannya.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is the skill of organizing and directing oneself in the process of learning. Every student should possess self-regulated learning skills in order to achieve high academic performance. Various factors influence a student's self-regulated learning during their educational journey. According to social cognitive theory, these factors are the result of the reciprocal interaction between individual characteristics, behavior, and the environment. This research primarily focuses on environmental factors, namely parental support and peer support. Both parental support and peer support play a role in shaping self-regulated learning. The research aims to empirically examine the contribution of parental support and peer support to self-regulated learning. The research employs a quantitative methodology and takes the form of an ex post facto study. The study population consists of 385 students in the 11 grade from SLTA A and B in Yogyakarta. A random sample of 77 students was chosen independently. Data were collected using instruments, including a self-regulated learning scale, a parental support scale, and a peer support scale. The empirical results of the study reveal that both parental support and peer support significantly contribute to self-regulated learning, with an F value of 36.703 and p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). When examined separately, parental support significantly and positively contributes to self-regulated learning, with a t-value of 2.032 and a p-value of 0.046 (p<0.05). Peer support also significantly and positively contributes to self-regulated learning, with a t-value of 8.325 and a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). Partially, parental support contributed 2.79% and friend support contributed 47.01% to self-regulated learning, and the rest was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the spiritual cognitive behavioral approach to understanding and modifying human behavior, to establish a good personality as an agentic person in social life, explain a relationship between spiritual perspective, cognitive behavioral perspective, and agentic aspects in social system, and synthesize a spiritual cognitive behavior technique (SCoBeT) as an approach to shape a personality and human behavior. Data was obtained using the critical analysis systematic literature review (SLR) method and it was gathered that Tazkiyatun An Nafs as a spiritual perspective with the concept of Takhalli, Tahalli and Tajalli and cognitive behavioral with the Agentic Aspects such Intentionality, Forethought, Self Reactiveness, Self Reflectiveness this aspects was extracted to be a new technique in order to shape a human personality and human behavior such emotional impuls, cognitive and behaving. The result of this study shows that spiritual and cognitive behavioral has a connection in conceptual and implementation perspective ways in theoretically and practically, and also has a relationship with shaping personality tendency and behavior in considering an action in social life. Moreover, in response to contemporary issues, spiritual cognitive behavior technique as an approach is synthesized and developed as a counseling technique in education and career manner.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 yang baru baru ini melanda hampir di seluruh belahan dunia termasuk pula di Negara Indonesia tentu memberikan dampak yang dirasakan oleh berbagai pihak, salah satunya untuk dunia pendidikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran dituntut dengan cara pembelajaran jarak jauh yang tentu akan terdapat pengaruh tertentu yang dirasakan oleh siswa, salah satunya pada tingkat agresivitas siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh pola asuh otoriter dan iklim sekolah terhadap agresivitas di masa pandemic covid-19 ini pada siswa SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta (N=37). Teknik sampling dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala pola asuh otoriter, skala iklim sekolah, dan skala agresivitas sebagai alat pengumpul data. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 20.0 for windows. Berdasarkan proses analisis, didapatkan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis mayor diterima, yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dari pola asuh otoriter dan iklim sekolah terhadap agresivitas dengan nilai (p<0,05). Analisis pada hipotesis minor diperoleh hasil yaitu pola asuh otoriter sangat berpengaruh terhadap agresivitas dengan nilai p=0,001 (p<0,05). Dan iklim sekolah sangat berpengaruh terhadap agresivitas dengan nilai p=0,00 (p<0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh otoriter dan iklim sekolah memiliki kontribusi dalam memengaruhi agresivitas di masa pandemic covid-19.

Abstract

The article on Community Service Program (PPM) is motivated by psychological problems, related to self-efficacy problems, the lack of skill of parents in assisting children to learn from home.The aim of the Community Service Program (PPM) is to increase the family psychological resilience. The PPM using training method was conducted at TK ABA Nganggring, Turi, Sleman, DI Yogyakarta. The training participants were 31 parents/ guardians of TK ABA Nganggring students. The training results showed an increasing in family psychological resilience through self-efficacy awareness training in accompanying for children home learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, with satisfactory results. The results of the self-efficacy awareness training are as follows; (1) participants have obtained new knowledge about awareness of self-efficacy, (2) participants have more confident in accompanying children's learning, (3) participants have more confident that children have enjoyed in learning, (4) participants have more confident, have readiness to assist children in learning, and ( 5) participants have more confident in ability to regulate emotion tension in assisting children's home learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The PPM follow-up requires implementing sustainable programs, as well as mentoring parents/ guardians of TK ABA Nganggring Turi Sleman Yogyakarta. So that PPM family psychological resilience to parents/guardians of TK ABA Nganggring Turi Sleman, continue to be sustainable and can be maximized so that children will feel enjoyment and comfortable at home learning as long as the occurrence of covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study examines the role of student-teacher trust, school well-being and student engagement in students. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type of research. The research design is ex post facto. The research respondents were 180 students selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected using the student engagement scale, student-teacher trust scale, and school well-being scale, which uses the attitude scale of the Likert model. The data analysis method in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of multiple linear regression analysis in this study show an F value of 278.134 with a significance level (p) of 0.000 (p less than 0.01). The research results show that studentteacher trust and school well-being on student engagement effectively contribute 75.9 percent to students. Student-teacher trust has a positive role in student engagement, with an effective contribution of 20.25 percent. In addition, there is also a positive role for school well-being towards student engagement, with an effective contribution of 55.64 percent. The conclusions that can be drawn from the research show that there is a very significant role for student-teacher trust and school well-being towards student engagement. The conclusions that can be drawn from the research show that there is a very significant role for student-teacher trust and school well-being in student engagement.

Abstract

Human agency adalah konsep bahwa seorang individu memiliki kompetensi dalam perencanaan, disiplin, realisasi dan mengevaluasi perilaku mereka sendiri dalam keadaan hidup termasuk dalam pembelajaran. Ini telah dipelajari dalam pendidikan dengan empat sifat inti seperti sengaja, pemikiran, reaktivitas diri, dan reflektifitas diri membentuk individu sebagai aktor, bukan reaktor. Hal ini dapat digunakan untuk memahami pembelajaran mandiri siswa, karena konsep pembelajaran mandiri memiliki kesadaran diri secara sengaja. Jika individu selalu bergantung pada lingkungannya, itu karena ia tidak memiliki agen dalam keadaan hidupnya. Menurut sebuah penelitian terbaru yang dilakukan pada tahun 2012, telah menemukan bahwa seorang siswa memiliki kurang otonom dalam belajar, dan juga dari survei yang dilakukan pada 2017-2019 ditemukan bahwa 61,50% siswa di 4 sekolah menengah atas memiliki pembelajaran mandiri yang lebih rendah. Fenomena ini mempengaruhi perilaku selingkuh dan menunda-nunda mereka. Pada artikel ini akan membahas kondisi siswa dalam belajar dan memberikan rekomendasi baru dalam perspektif tentang intervensi alternatif dalam praktik bimbingan dan konseling tentang agensi manusia untuk membentuk dan memahami perilaku belajar mandiri dan juga sifat internalisasi agensi manusia dalam proses konseling dalam konteks dalam belajar.Abstract: Human agency is a concept that an individual has a competencies in planning, discipline, realization and evaluate their own behavior in life circumstance including in learning. It has been studied in education with four core properties such intentionally, forethought, self-reactiveness, and self-reflectiveness shape an individual as an actor, not a reactor. It can be used to understanding a student autonomous learning, because the concept of autonomous learning has a self-cognition purposely. If individual always depends on their environment, that because he does not have an agentic in his life circumstance. According a latest research that conducts in 2012, has found that a student has a lack of autonomous in learning, and also from survey that conduct in 2017-2019 it’s found that 61,50% students in 4 senior high school has lower autonomous learning. This phenomena influence to their cheating and procrastination behavior. On this article will discuss a student’s condition in learning and gives a new recommendation in perspective about alternative intervention in guidance and counseling practice about the human agency to shape and understanding an autonomous learning behavior and also internalization properties of human agency in counseling process in the context in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of the current study is to determine how self-concept forms in adolescents through inculcating Islamic values. Literature study from various sources, including abstracts of scientific writing results, journal reviews published between 2010-2018 and books related to this article, was employed as the research method. The self-concept is all our perceptions about our self-aspects, such as physical aspect, social aspect, and psychological aspect, which are based on our experiences and interactions with other people. The conclusion of this study is that family support plays a very significant role in the formation self-concepts in adolescents, where families that establish good parent-child communication can nurture positive self-concepts in their children. The self-concept develops gradually and is influenced by the closest circle like the people in the family and the views of the adolescents about themselves. In the process of forming the self-concept in adolescents, it is indispensable to instill Islamic values. With the inculcation of Islamic values, positive self-concepts can be formed in the adolescents' minds. The results of this study indicate that adolescents who are implanted with Islamic values ​​tend to have positive self-concepts, compared to adolescents whose self-concepts tend to be negative due to the lack Islamic values inculcation during the self-concept formation progress.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem, parental social support, and students’ academic achievement in public junior high schools. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing two primary instruments: the Self-Esteem Scale and the Parental Social Support Scale. Additionally, academic achievement data were obtained from the Academic Student Transcript System (ASTS) for the 2023/2024 academic year, focusing on eighth-grade students. The target population comprised 212 students, from which a sample of 113 was selected through cluster random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 19.00 for Windows. The results of the main hypothesis test indicated a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.420, an F-value of 11.799, and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.01), suggesting a statistically significant relationship between the independent variables and academic achievement. The first minor hypothesis showed a regression coefficient of 0.203 with a significance level of 0.032 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem and academic achievement. The second minor hypothesis revealed a partial correlation coefficient of 0.312 with a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.01), indicating a strong and statistically significant relationship between parental social support and academic achievement. Overall, self-esteem and parental social support jointly contributed 17.65% to the variance in students’ academic achievement. These findings underscore the importance of both psychological and social factors in supporting students’ academic success. Keywords: Academic achievement, parental social support, self-esteem.

Abstract

Student’s learning achievement is affected by internal and external factors. This study aimed to discover the relationship between self-efficacy and teachers' attitudes with SMP N (State Junior High School) 1 Bantul student learning achievement in English language subjects. The self-efficacy variable is considered the internal factor, while the teacher’s attitude is one of the external factors. This study is quantitative research using the non-experimental research design and correlational approach. The research population involved 320 students of Grade VIII of SMP N 1 Bantul, selected using the cluster random sampling technique. The research data were collected using the self-efficacy scale adapted from Gafoor & Ashraf (2006), the teacher’s attitude scale compiled by Yuzarion (2014), and students’ final semester examination grades from the Even Semester Year 2022/2023. The data analysis technique applied to analyze these data was multiple linear regression using the assistance of the SPSS application. In the minor hypothesis testing, an R-value of .539 was obtained for the self-efficacy variable, and .690 for the teacher attitude variable with a probability value of .000. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis for the major hypothesis, an R-value of .701 was obtained with a probability value of .000. These results mean that there is a strong relationship between self-efficacy and teacher attitudes towards student’s learning achievement. The effective contribution separately for the self-efficacy variable is 8.8% and 40.3% for the teacher attitude variable. The total effective contribution is 49.1%, with the remaining 50.9% influenced by other variables not discussed in this research.
