Abstract

As one of the largest producers of sago commodities in Maluku Province, East Seram Regency has the opportunity to increase production which of course has an impact on improving the welfare of sago farmers. This study aims to analyze the income of sago farmers by the community in Dawang Village, East Seram Regency. The research location is in Dawang Village, Teluk Waru District, East Seram Regency. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula, namely 113 samples. This study uses the Multiple Linear Regression analysis method. The results of the study showed that the production variables and sago price variables had a significant effect on the income of the Dawang village community, while the production cost variables and depreciation costs had a negative effect on the income of the Dawang village community. From this study, it can be concluded that the higher the production and price of sago, the higher the income of farmers.

Abstract

Stevia plant, as an alternative to sugarcane, is a plant that is susceptible to drought. The growth and yield of the stevia plant is highly dependent on the availability of sufficient water and nutrients. To get optimal crop yields is necessary to pay attention to the water needs of the stevia-growing media. The right intensity of watering and using organic fertilizers are efforts that can be done to prevent drought. This study aimed to determine the effect of vermicompost and water application intervals on the growth and yield of stevia plants. A divided plot design was used in this study with 12 treatment combinations with three replications. The basic pattern of completely randomized design (CRD) consists of 2 factors with three replications. The main plot is the interval of giving water (I), namely I1 = 1 day, once, I2 = once every 2 days, I3 = once every 3 days and Subplots, namely the dose of vermicompost, consist of 4 levels, namely V0 = 0 tons/ha, V1 = 5 tons /ha, V2 = 10 tons/ha, V3 = 15 tons/ha. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The significant difference between treatments is determined using Duncan's Multiple Distance Test at 5%. The best watering interval is the interval of giving once every three days and vermicompost 5 tons/ha.

Abstract

The agricultural sectors that are developed should be sectors that have a major contribution to economic growth in Ngawi Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze which sectors have priority development in Ngawi Regency. This needs to be done so that subsectors that have the potential for the progress of vegetable crops in the region can be optimized. In this way, regions can find out about economic progress as a result of development in the agricultural sector in their region. This research analyzes the contribution of the basic vegetable subsector to the economic growth of the agricultural sector in Ngawi Regency. This analysis can help the government in setting policies regarding the economy and regional development so that it is hoped that community welfare will be created in Ngawi Regency. The research was carried out in August-October 2024, located in 19 sub-districts in Ngawi Regency. The highest LQ value is cayenne pepper which is found in 12 (twelve) sub-districts, namely Sine sub-district LQ value 3.09, Ngrambe sub-district LQ value 3.04, Jogorogo sub-district LQ value 2.94, Geneng sub-district LQ value 3.10, Gerih sub-district LQ value 6.53, Kwadungan sub-district LQ value 2.12, Paron District LQ value 3.69, Kedunggalar District LQ value 13.72, Pitu District LQ value 1.73, Widodaren District LQ value 22.26, Mantingan District LQ value 13.97 and Karanganyar District LQ value 4.49. This illustrates that cayenne pepper is a basic sector where farmers are generally able to make good use of the available land.

Abstract

NTB is one of the provinces that is seriously handling and processing organic and inorganic waste, this is in line with the government's “Zero Waste” program, one of which uses maggot from the Black Soldier fly (BSF) species. Maggot cultivation in the research area uses 60% of organic waste from expired food and 40% of wet organic waste from households and markets. Maggot can be used as feed for fish and poultry, as organic fertilizer and as raw material for cosmetics. The research objectives are: (1) Analyzing the added value produced by fresh maggot, dried maggot, solid kasgot and liquid kasgot on Lombok Island, (2) Analyzing business opportunities for fresh maggot, dried maggot, solid kasgot and liquid kasgot on Lombok Island, (3) Analyzing the most potential maggot products to be developed on the island of Lombok. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative and qualitative with the approach of value-added analysis and SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the research, the average maggot business actor comes from the environmental care community. There are several products produced and can be commercialized from maggot cultivation, including: maggot eggs, baby maggot, adult maggot, pupae, organic fertilizer (solid kasgot) and liquid kasgot. Maggot cultivation is integrated by business actors with poultry farming, freshwater fish and food and horticultural crop cultivation. The added value generated from maggot cultivation is IDR 1,010,589 per month and IDR 12,127,068 per year. Maggot cultivation activities are analyzed using SWOT analysis with the IFAS and EFAS approaches to see its prospects in the future. Currently, maggot cultivation is in quadrant III, which means that this business has internal weaknesses and faces external threats. To overcome its weaknesses, product innovation is needed to generate added value, such as switching to derivative products to make maggot flour and maggot oil, the active role of the government in regulations related to maggot and the availability of feed, as well as seeking access to export markets, and motivation for human resources.

Abstract

UD. Madusari menjadi salah satu merek getuk pisang yang populer di pusat oleh-oleh Kota Kediri dan mampu bertahan serta bersaing dengan merek lainnya. Usaha agroindustri ini berskala rumah tangga dengan produksi yang menyesuaikan permintaan konsumen. Pada tahun 2022, harga per getuk pisang di UD. Madusari adalah Rp. 7.000,- dan produksi dilakukan lima kali seminggu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi: (1) Kelayakan finansial; dan (2) Swiching Value dari usaha UD. Madusari. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara purposif di UD. Getuk Pisang Madusari. Metode yang digunakan adalah analitik deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling, dan data diperoleh melalui wawancara terstruktur serta dokumentasi. Analisis finansial dilakukan menggunakan kriteria kelayakan, yaitu Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), dan Swiching Value. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan analisis NPV, usaha ini secara finansial layak untuk dilanjutkan, dengan NPV sebesar Rp. 381.806.813, Net B/C sebesar 1,12, gross B/C sebesar 4,93, IRR sebesar 36,98%, dan Payback Period sekitar 5 tahun 8 bulan 17 hari. (2) Analisis swiching value mengindikasikan bahwa usaha ini akan mencapai titik impas (break-even point) jika terjadi kenaikan biaya operasional hingga 11,92% atau penurunan volume produksi hingga 10,52%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh taraf protein dan lisin terhadap massa kalsium dan panjang tulang femur khususnya pada ayam kampung fase finisher (umur 7-12 minggu). Penelitian ini menggunakan 240 ekor ayam kampung (unsex). Kandang untuk pemeliharaan terdiri dari 24 unit percobaan dan masing-masing unit percobaan terdiri dari 10 ekor ayam menggunakan bertipe multiple cage dengan dikelilingi wire. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 2 x 3 dengan 4 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah taraf protein ransum yang terdiri atas 2 taraf (17% dan 14%). Faktor kedua adalah penambahan lisin yang terdiri atas 3 taraf (0,6%; 0,7%, dan 0,8%). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah massa Ca tulang dan panjang tulang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa massa Ca tulang finisher pada taraf protein P1 dan taraf lisin L1, L2 dan L3 berturut-turut yaitu 0,08±0,023, 0,10±0,027, dan 0,09±0,017 g/ekor, sedangkan massa Ca tulang finisher pada taraf protein P2 dan taraf lisin L1, L2 dan L3 berturut-turut yaitu 0,09±0,019, 0,09±0,008, dan 0,10±0,011 g/ekor. Panjang tulang femur finisher pada taraf protein P1 dan taraf lisin L1, L2 dan L3 berturut-turut yaitu 5,68±0,54, 5,85±0,30, dan 6,52±0,31 cm, sedangkan panjang tulang femur finisher pada taraf protein P1 dan taraf lisin L1, L2 dan L3 berturut-turut yaitu 5,93±0,54, 5,84±0,33, dan 5,75±0,40 cm tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa taraf protein dan lisin yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap massa kalsium tulang dan panjang tulang femur ayam kampung finisher.

Abstract

Knowledge level of farmers in post-harvest coffee handling in Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of farmers in handling post-harvest coffee using anaerobic techniques in Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency. Sampling in this study was done by taking all the population into respondents, namely farmers who are members of the Bumbi tani lestari Indonesia farmer group in Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency as many as 40 people. Data analysis used in this research is quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the level of knowledge of farmers in handling post-harvest coffee using anaerobic techniques which include sorting is known to be high with a value of 3 with a percentage of 57%, fermentation is known to be medium with a value of 2 with a percentage of 50%, drying is known to be high with a value of 3 with a percentage of 55%, storage and skin grinding is known to be medium with a value of 2 with a percentage of 63%.

Abstract

The food and pharmaceutical fields are two elements needed in everyday life to improve human health and well-being. This is because functional foods, medicines, and natural cosmetics have become an increasingly current trend to be applied both based on food biotechnology and pharmaceutical biotechnology. One of the food and pharmaceutical biotechnology products that can be effective as a source of antioxidants is the butterfly pea flower kombucha preparation. Butterfly pea flower kombucha preparations that are effective as a source of antioxidants certainly have a substrate formula that varies based on the results of their concoctions. The results of previous studies have proven that butterfly pea flower kombucha with a concentration of palm sugar and SR12 honey has activity as a source of antibacterial. Research to see the antioxidant activity that is formulated based on various formulations of palm sugar and SR12 honey substrates. The stages of this research include making butterfly pea flower kombucha with various concentrations of palm sugar and SR12 honey substrates and testing its antioxidant activity on each preparation formulated from the palm sugar and SR12 honey substrate formulation (20%, 30%, and 40%). One-way analysis of variance was applied, followed by post-hoc analysis. Based on the post-hoc analysis, the study showed that butterfly pea flower kombucha at a concentration of 40%, as well as the formula of palm sugar and SR12 honey, showed significant differences from the concentrations of 20% and 30% after testing one-way analysis of variance, with each P value <0.05. The conclusion is that the preparation of butterfly pea flower kombucha based on the use of palm sugar and SR12 honey substrates is efficacious as a source of antioxidants so that in the long term it can be used as a functional food ingredient or pharmaceutical.

Abstract

Pertanian tanaman pangan terdiri dari dua kelompok besar yaitu pertanian padi dan palawija, pengembangan tanaman palawija juga diarahkan untuk pemantapan ketahanan pangan dan pemberantas kemiskian. Palawija merupakan kelompok komoditas tanaman pangan kedua terpenting setelah padi. Jagung, kedelai, dan kacang tanah merupakan komoditas palawija utama yang diusahakan petani pada musim kemarau pada berbagai jenis pengairan di lahan sawah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sistem saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, farmer’s share dan efisiensi pemasaarn jagung di Kecamatan Purbolinggo. Tanaman jagung merupakan tanaman rumput-rumputan (graminae) dan berbiji tunggal (monokotil) dan memiliki nama latin Zea mays linn. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi pengamatan, wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Snowball Sampling dan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Metode analisis data yaitu analisis saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, farmer’s share dan efisiensi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat tiga saluran pemasaran. Saluran pemasaran I : Petani – Konsumen. Saluran pemasaran II : Petani – Pedagang Besar – Konsumen. Saluran pemasaran III : Petani – Pedagang Pengumpul – Pedagang Besar – Konsumen. Margin pemasaran jagung pipilan pada saluran I, II dan III secara berturut – turut sebesar Rp.0/Kg, Rp.1.300/Kg dan Rp.2.200/Kg. Perbedaan margin pemasaran antara saluran pemasaran I, II dan III disebabkan oleh perbedaan biaya pemasaran yang dikeluarkan pada setiap lembaga pemasaran.Persentase farmer’s share secara berturut – turut adalah saluran pemasaran I dengan persentase 100%, saluran pemasaran II dengan persentase 74% dan saluran pemasaran III dengan persentase 56%. Nilai efisiensi pemasaran pada saluran pemasaran I, II dan III secara berturut – turut adalah saluran pemasaran I dengan persentase 11,66%, saluran pemasaran II dengan persentase 12,06% dan saluran pemasaran III dengan persentase 15,06%.

Abstract

Tantangan pengembangan pangan dan pertanian sangat berat dalam penyediaan pangan yang cukup bagi penduduk dunia seiring dengan kelangkaan sumber daya alam. Persaingan untuk penggunaan tanah dan air meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk, perkembangan industri, dan urbanisasi. Dalam hal ini menjadi perhatian serius bagi pemerintah sehingga melakukan upaya pangan lokal pengganti beras yaitu ubi kayu. Ubi kayu merupakan komoditas tanaman pangan yang penting setelah komoditas padi dan jagung sebagai penghasil sumber bahan pangan karbohidrat dan bahan baku industri makanan, kimia dan pakan ternak. Kabupaten Sikka adalah sebuah kabupaten yang terletak di provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. Ibu kota kabupaten Sikka adalah Maumere. Kabupaten Sikka merupakan Kabupaten yang jumlah produksi ubi kayu terbanyak di Dataran Flores. Menurut Statistik Angka produksi ubi kayu terus mengalami peningkatan selama tiga tahun terakhir yaitu 54540 ton, 107.902 ton, 67.922 ton. Meningkatnya produksi ubi kayu di Kabupaten Sikka tentunya dapat menanggulangi pasokan beras yang diimpor dari kabupaten luar.
