Abstract

This article is the result of field research in three schools in Aceh Besar. This research consists of two related studies. The first focuses on answering the hypothesis about the effect of implementing a teaching factory on student work using the one-group pretest-posttest design method. Students will be given a pretest first to assess the results of their initial work. After that, they are given the teaching factory treatment and then a post-test for the results to be compared to assess whether the treatment has an effect. The second research the author wants to examine in this article is consumer satisfaction with the work. Using the survey method, the data obtained is calculated based on the satisfaction references percentage. The sample in this study consisted of 30 students to evaluate work results using the one-group pretest-posttest design method and 30 consumers to assess the level of consumer satisfaction with student work. Based on the data obtained, the researchers concluded that there was a significant influence on student work results after treatment. The average post-test result increased to a pretest value of 18.66667 with sig. 0.000, which means significant. The result value of the t count is 37.405, greater than the t table of 2.045, which means that the application of teaching factory learning is very effective in improving student work results. Then for the consumer satisfaction results, it was obtained that 30% were very satisfied with the student work, and 70% were satisfied with the student work. With nine people feeling very satisfied and 21 people feeling satisfied, the average result is that consumers are satisfied with students’ work.

Abstract

Penelitian mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (SMK3) serta Sarana dan Prasarana dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SMK. Kurangnya fasilitas pendukung Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di bengkel dan rendahnya penerapan aturan K3, minimnya pemahaman siswa yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan kerja, serta kondisi alat pelindung diri yang tidak memadai dari segi jumlah dan kelayakan. Penelitian jenis kuantitatif deskriptif dengan strategi asosiatif, melibatkan kepala jurusan, guru mata Pelajaran Pemeliharaan Mesin Kendaraan Ringan (PMKR), dan teknisi bengkel sebagai subjek. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, dokumentasi, dan nilai praktik siswa, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SMK3 serta Sarana dan Prasarana secara signifikan memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa (61,3%), dengan SMK3 memiliki pengaruh lebih kuat (β=0,453) dibanding Sarana dan Prasarana (β=0,387). This research evaluates the effectiveness of implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and Infrastructure Facilities in improving student learning outcomes in Vocational High School. Poor implementation of safety regulations and limited student understanding leading to workplace accidents, and insufficient personal protective equipment in terms of quantity and feasibility. A descriptive quantitative approach with an associative strategy, involving department heads, Light Vehicle Maintenance Engineering teachers, and workshop technicians as subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and student practical scores, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the implementation of OHSMS and Infrastructure and Facilities significantly influences student learning outcomes (61.3%), with OHSMS having a stronger influence (β=0.453) compared to Infrastructure and Facilities (β=0.387).

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah kejuruan (SMK) dalam menghasilkan tamatan yang memiliki kompetensi eksklusif, berupaya untuk mendidik tamatannya menggunakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk menjadi wirausahawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan mengetahui kontribusi   pengalaman belajar dan motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran PKK terhadap minat berwirausaha siswa di SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. Penelitian deskriptif dengan jenis korelasional serta survei. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas XI teknik otomotif SMKN 1 Bukitinggi dan populasi sebanyak 90 orang, menggunakan rumus slovin didapatkan sampel sebanyak 48 orang. Penelitian ini mengunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk Gform. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yakni uji regresi linear sederhana, uji regresi linear berganda, uji T, uji F, koefisien determinasi serta uji multikolinearitas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya dampak positif serta signifikan antara pengalaman belajar serta motivasi belajar terhadap minat berwirausaha siswa kelas XI Jurusan Teknik otomotif SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. Vocational High Schools (SMK) in producing graduates who have exclusive competencies, strive to educate their graduates using the knowledge and skills needed to become entrepreneurs. This study was conducted to determine the contribution of learning experiences and learning motivation in PKK subjects to students' entrepreneurial interests at SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. Descriptive research with correlational and survey types. The subjects of this study were class XI automotive engineering students of SMKN 1 Bukitinggi and a population of 90 people, using the slovin formula, a sample of 48 people was obtained. This study used a questionnaire in the form of Gform. The analysis techniques used were simple linear regression tests, multiple linear regression tests, T tests, F tests, coefficients of determination and multicollinearity tests. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant impact between learning experiences and learning motivation on the entrepreneurial interests of class XI students of the Automotive Engineering Department of SMKN 1 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya implementasi K3 dalam pendidikan kejuruan, khususnya di SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh. Penelitian bertujuan untuk merancang media pembelajaran berbasis video interaktif untuk materi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) yang valid dan reliabel. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan research and development (R&D) dengan model 4-D yang berfokus pada tahap design. Validasi dilakukan oleh 7 orang ahli menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi pada ketiga aspek penilaian dengan nilai R-Square aspek Didaktis 0,927, Konstruksi 0,728, dan Teknis 0,753. Semua aspek memiliki nilai Cronbach's Alpha di atas 0,7 dan AVE di atas 0,5, mengindikasikan media pembelajaran yang dirancang valid dan reliabel untuk diimplementasikan.

Abstract

Untuk menjadi tenaga kerja siap pakai dan terampil, lulusan SMK dituntut memiliki kompetensi yang memadai. Data BPS Agustus 2021 menyatakan bahwa 11,38% jumlah pengangguran berasal dari lulusan SMK. Kenyataan ini membuktikan bahwa kompetensi lulusan SMK belum sesuai dengan harapan dunia kerja. Masalah ini timbul karena belum terciptanya keselarasan kompetensi lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Keselarasan ini dipengaruhi oleh sumber daya, sarana dan prasarana sekolah. Jurusan TBSM SMKN 1 Sungai Aur Kabupaten Pasaman Barat Provinsi Sumatera Barat merupakan jurusan yang baru berdiri sehingga sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki juga masih sedikit. Hasil observasi menemukan bahwa jurusan ini belum memiliki media pembelajaran simulator engine cutting sepeda motor programmed fuel injection, sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kompetensi siswa. Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dikuasai siswa jurusan TBSM dan sesuai dengan tuntutan dunia kerja saat ini adalah teknologi sepeda motor programmed fuel injection. Upaya yang dilakukan melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa jurusan TBSM adalah rancang bangun simulator engine cutting dan pelatihan teknologi programmed fuel injection sepeda motor. Hasil evaluasi awal dan akhir kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kompetensi siswa TBSM SMKN 1 Sungai Aur tentang teknologi programmed fuel injection sepeda motor sebesar 60,71%.

Abstract

The depletion of fossil energy reserves, especially oil and natural gas, has driven innovations in energy-efficient vehicles, including through the Energy-Efficient Car Contest (KMHE). In developing prototype cars for this competition, driver ergonomics is often overlooked. This study aims to analyze musculoskeletal complaints experienced by prototype car drivers from the Faculty of Engineering at UNP. The main instrument used was the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, administered to three drivers after they performed a 20-minute static driving simulation. The collected data were analyzed and categorized based on complaint levels. The results showed that the most frequent complaints occurred in the lower back (score 12), followed by the lower neck, buttocks, and hips (score 11). The average overall score was 71.67, indicating a high-risk category. The highest individual score was 89 (Driver 3), and the lowest was 62 (Driver 1). These complaints were caused by the absence of an ergonomic driver seat in the prototype car. The study concluded that the current cockpit design is not ergonomically adequate, posing a risk of injury. Therefore, it is recommended that the design team immediately create a more upright driver seat with thigh support to enhance comfort and reduce musculoskeletal complaints.

Abstract

Occupational safety is a critical concern in automotive workshop environments due to the high-risk nature of tasks such as engine repair, welding, and electrical diagnostics. This study investigates automotive workshop risks at the Mitsubishi DIPO Workshop in Bukittinggi by identifying hazards, assessing risk levels, and formulating workplace accident prevention strategies. The HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) method was applied to evaluate 28 potential hazards, two of which were classified as extreme risks. Further analysis of these risks was conducted using the Fishbone Diagram to identify root causes across six contributing factors: human, machine, material, method, environment, and management. Based on these findings, targeted risk control measures were developed following the hierarchy of control, including engineering interventions, administrative policies, and personal protective equipment. This research demonstrates how integrated methods such as HIRARC and Fishbone Diagram can support comprehensive occupational safety planning and risk mitigation in automotive workshops.

Abstract

MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) is a type of inventory to maintain the smooth production process. The large number of spare parts to be managed and their lumpy usage patterns are a challenge in the procurement process. This research aims to determine the classification and procurement strategy for each spare parts classification group in PT. Semen Padang. The classification method used is MUSIC-3D which consists of ABC, FNS and SDE. This classification produces 27 spare parts groups which are mapped into Kraljic's Matrix. From the mapping results, the 27 groups are spread into four quadrants. Strategic Quadrant with recommendations for partnership contract types and long-term relationships, Leverage Quadrant with recommendations for partnership or call of contract types and short-term relationships, Bottleneck Quadrant with recommendations for call of contract types and short-term relationships, Non-Critical Quadrant with recommendations for spotting purchase in the purchasing process. MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) merupakan salah satu jenis persediaan untuk menjaga kelancaran proses produksi. Banyaknya jumlah suku cadang yang dikelola serta pola pemakaiannya yang lumpy menjadi tantangan dalam proses pengadaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan klasifikasi dan strategi pengadaan untuk setiap kelompok klasifikasi suku cadang di PT. Semen Padang. Metode klasifikasi yang digunakan adalah MUSIC-3D yang terdiri dari ABC, FNS dan SDE. Klasifikasi tersebut menghasilkan 27 kelompok suku cadang yang dipetakan ke dalam Kraljic’s Matrix. Dari hasil pemetaan, ke 27 kelompok suku cadang tersebar ke dalam empat kuadran. Kuadran Strategic dengan rekomendasi tipe kontrak partnership dan hubungan jangka panjang, Kuadran Leverage dengan rekomendasi tipe kontrak partnership atau call of contract dan hubungan jangka pendek, Kuadran Bottleneck dengan rekomendasi tipe kontrak call of contract dan hubungan jangka pendek, Kuadran Non–Critical dengan rekomendasi melakukan spot purchase dalam proses pembeliannya.

Abstract

Replacement analysis is used to evaluate whether the currently used asset needs to be replaced with a newer and more economically efficient one. This study aims to determine the feasibility of replacing the official service vehicles at Universitas Negeri Padang from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles based on an economic analysis. Data on official service vehicles were collected from the facilities and infrastructure division of Universitas Negeri Padang, while data on electric vehicles were obtained through a literature review. Data processing was conducted using the Equivalent Uniform Annual Cost (EUAC) method. The results indicate that replacing the official service vehicles at Universitas Negeri Padang from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles is not yet feasible.

Abstract

Companies that own heavy equipment require regular maintenance. The amount of workload received by mechanic in the repair and maintenance section of heavy equipment units causes them to experience physical fatigue and frustration due to the workload and working hours being conducted outside of normal working hours. This study aims to determine the workload of mechanic at PT. Statika Mitrasarana. Data collection was carried out through direct observation of the mechanic, distribution of questionnaires, and interviews regarding the workload. The analysis of workload was conducted using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA TLX) method. From the results of the mechanic workload, an overall average of 83.6 was obtained. The highest workload has an average of 92.66 and the lowest 65.33. On the most dominant indicator of workload the physical demands have an average of 348. The measurement findings can help management consider additional steps, such as reducing and redistributing the mechanic workload.
