Abstract

In the current digital era, technological progress is increasing rapidly, where all forms of human activity can be assisted by using technology. Evidence of today's technological advances is that many industries are starting to switch to the digital sector. This is what requires students to compete in improving their digital skills considering that currently there are many jobs in the industry. To accommodate students so they can prepare the skills they need, the Ministry of Education and Culture has issued the Independent Independent Study Program for Independent Campus Learning. One of the partners in this Independent Study program is PT Revolusi Cita Edukasi (RevoU). At RevoU, students will be provided with digital skills such as Product Management, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and Software Engineering which are much needed in today's digital era. The learning method used by RevoU is a combination learning method such as classroom learning delivered directly by industry practitioners and learning through practice both individually and in groups to ensure students understand well the concepts and practical applications of the knowledge provided. In addition, students will also learn through case studies and simulations that provide real work experience in each field of the skills being taught. The learning outcomes of the Independent Study program at RevoU are that it can provide benefits to students so they can understand and train skills to prepare for careers in the digital industry.

Abstract

The increasing implementation of digital systems in tourism operations requires employees to adapt quickly to technological changes while maintaining service quality. At Lembah Pandawa Tourism Destination, differences in employees’ digital readiness, adaptability to new work practices, and consistency of job performance indicate the need for effective human resource management strategies. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital readiness, adaptive work culture, and transformational leadership on employee performance. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from 133 permanent and contract employees through a structured questionnaire. The findings indicate that digital readiness, adaptive work culture, and transformational leadership positively contribute to employee performance. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing digital competencies, encouraging adaptive work behavior, and strengthening transformational leadership to improve employee performance in tourism organizations. This study enriches the human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence from a developing tourism destination experiencing digital transformation.

Abstract

The high rate of turnover intention in the food industry’s SME sector poses a serious problem that threatens the operational stability of companies. This study focuses on the continuous employee turnover at UD Sekar Arum Sidoarjo, particularly during its peak resignation month. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, workload, and job satisfaction on employee turnover intention, both simultaneously and partially. The approach used is descriptive quantitative with the multiple linear regression method. The sample consist of 55 employees of UD Sekar Arum, selected using a saturated sampling technique or census. Data were collected via a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire supplemented by field observations and unstructured interview and subsequently analyzed using IBM SPSS 25. The results indicate that, simultaneously, all three variables have a significant effect on turnover intention. Partially, the work environment does not have a significant effect because employees perceive the work environment such as air circulation, lighting, and noise levels as adequate. Workload has a negative and significant effect, meaning that aligning workload with employees’ capabilities, coupled with clear SOPs and sufficient rest periods, has been shown to reduce turnover intention. Job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect.

Abstract

The focus of this research was on the emerging trend of mobile coffee services in Surabaya, specifically examining Kopi Kelana, the first electric-bike-based coffee pioneer in the city. To address the research inquiries, this study adopted a quantitative associative approach focusing on the relationship between Purchase Intention (Y) as the dependent factor and two independent elements: Consumer Perception (X1) and Consumer Preference (X2). Data collection involved a five-point Likert scale instrument, spanning from strongly disagree to strongly agree, to quantify each research indicator. The target population included individuals in Surabaya familiar with the Kopi Kelana brand. Furthermore, a purposive sampling strategy was implemented under a non-probability framework, specifically targeting Surabaya residents who had previously interacted with mobile coffee service models. A total of 157 respondents participated and provided valid data for analysis. Data analysis was conducted using instrument tests (validity and reliability), classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings of this study showed that consumer perception and preference had a favorable and on purchase intention, both simultaneously and partially (F = 149.759, p < 0.05). The regression analysis indicated that positive perceptions regarding quality and brand identity, coupled with strong preferences for taste variety, significantly enhanced consumer interest. It was concluded that maintaining a unique brand identity and high service standards were crucial for the sustainability of mobile coffee businesses in an urban environment.
