Abstract

Kebakaran listrik dapat terjadi akibat panas yang dihasilkan oleh arus listrik pada penghantar dengan tahanan tertentu, yang pada tingkat tertentu dapat memicu kebakaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pemantauan berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) guna mendeteksi potensi kebakaran listrik pada medium voltage cubicle secara real-time. Sistem ini dirancang menggunakan ESP32 yang terintegrasi dengan sensor DHT22 untuk mendeteksi suhu dan kelembapan serta sensor ACS217 untuk mengukur arus listrik AC dan DC. Data yang diperoleh diproses dan diklasifikasikan dalam tiga kondisi: aman (LED hijau), peringatan (LED kuning), dan bahaya (LED merah), dengan tambahan buzzer sebagai alarm serta push button untuk mereset sistem. Perangkat lunak Node-RED, InfluxDB, dan Ngrok digunakan untuk menyimpan, mengolah, serta menampilkan data dalam bentuk dashboard yang memudahkan pengguna dalam pemantauan dan pengambilan keputusan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu membaca dan menampilkan data secara real-time dengan respons yang cepat dan akurat, memberikan peringatan dini bagi pekerja dalam mencegah kebakaran. Dengan demikian, sistem ini berpotensi untuk diimplementasikan sebagai solusi IoT dalam meningkatkan keselamatan industri, khususnya pada medium voltage cubicle.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on improving students’ learning outcomes in analyzing argumentative texts. A qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were eleventh-grade students at SMKN 6 Surabaya. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages aimed at continuously improving the learning process. The results indicate that implementing the TPS model significantly increased students’ active participation and learning achievement. In the first cycle, the average student score was 71.2 with a completeness rate of 65.6%. After revising the learning strategy in the second cycle, the average score increased to 81.6 with a completeness rate of 87.5%. The TPS model proved effective in creating a collaborative, interactive, and student-centered learning environment. Through three main stages—think (individual thinking), pair (discussion in pairs), and share (sharing within groups)—students became more actively involved, developed critical thinking skills, and were able to express their opinions openly and effectively. These findings suggest that the TPS model is an effective and viable alternative learning strategy to enhance student engagement, comprehension, and academic performance. Therefore, this study recommends that teachers consistently implement the TPS model to improve the quality of learning processes and student outcomes, particularly in teaching argumentative text analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to implement an inquiry-based learning model to improve students’ understanding and creativity in the History subject, specifically on the topic of the Struggle to Defend Indonesian Independence. The research was conducted as a classroom action research (CAR) involving students of class XI DKV 2 at SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya. The study consisted of three cycles, each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation sheets, learning achievement tests, and student response questionnaires. The results show that the inquiry-based learning model positively impacts both students’ understanding and creativity. The average test scores improved from 75.33 in the first cycle to 78.88 in the second and 85.75 in the third cycle. Students’ creativity also increased, as reflected in indicators such as initiative, ability to discuss, and ability to explain concepts in their own words. Questionnaire results indicated that 92.5% of students were interested, and 87.5% felt challenged by the inquiry-based learning process. In conclusion, the inquiry-based learning model is effective in enhancing students' understanding and active participation in learning history.

Abstract

Vocational education has a strategic role in producing graduates who are ready to work, especially through expertise programs at Vocational High Schools (SMK). One area of expertise that is in demand is Fashion Management, which requires mastery of technical and non-technical competencies in order to compete in the competitive fashion industry. However, data shows that the open unemployment rate of SMK graduates, including those majoring in Fashion Management, is still quite high. This indicates a gap between the competencies of graduates and the needs of the world of work. To bridge the gap, the Teaching Factory (TEFA) learning model is applied to provide industry-based contextual learning experiences. This study aims to analyze the effect of Fashion Cosmetology competence and the implementation of TEFA learning on student work readiness, both partially and simultaneously, at SMKN 1 Turen. The results of previous empirical studies show that student competence and TEFA implementation contribute positively to strengthening work readiness, which includes cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects. By using a quantitative approach, this study is expected to prove that both variables have a significant effect on students' work readiness, and become the basis for developing a more effective, relevant, and industry-oriented vocational learning strategy.

Abstract

Perkembangan kendaraan otonom telah menjadi salah satu inovasi paling signifikan dalam industri transportasi, mendorong penelitian yang luas karena potensinya untuk meningkatkan keselamatan penumpang, mobilitas penyandang disabilitas, dan mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah bagaimana menyederhanakan sistem navigasi berbasis sensor dengan tetap mempertahankan akurasi arah (heading) dan posisi kendaraan saat mengikuti rute waypoint. Penelitian ini mengembangkan dan menguji sistem navigasi pada prototipe autonomous car dengan kendali steering berbasis Proportional–Integral (PI). Sistem ini memanfaatkan sensor GPS Ublox SAM-M8Q dan kompas HMC5883L yang terintegrasi dengan IMU BNO055 untuk menentukan posisi dan arah kendaraan secara real-time. Jarak antar koordinat dihitung menggunakan Haversine Formula, sedangkan Bearing Formula digunakan untuk menentukan sudut heading sebagai setpoint kendali. Pengujian dilakukan selama tiga hari dengan rute berbentuk persegi dan empat waypoint berbeda, disesuaikan dengan kondisi lapangan dan obstacle yang ada. Hasil menunjukkan sistem navigasi mampu mencapai waypoint dengan rata-rata error posisi sebesar 1.58 meter, error terkecil 0.11 meter, dan terbesar 5.10 meter. Selain itu, Integrasi sensor HMC5883L dan BNO055 menghasilkan error heading rata-rata 1.57°, sedangkan pengujian GPS Ublox SAM-M8Q menunjukkan drift posisi rata-rata 0.4 meter dalam durasi 1 menit. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kendali PI efektif dalam menjaga arah kendaraan secara stabil di lingkungan nyata.

berdasarkan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence). Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, dengan mengeksplorasi dari beberapa mahasiswa atau pelajar yang menggunakan AI dalam mengoptimalisasi pemanfaatan energi renewable. Ditemukan bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan dari pelajar atau mahasiswa dengan menggunakan AI untuk tujuan umum dan akademis sehingga dapat lebih menguasai dan dapat mengaplikasikan AI dalam meningkatkan kehidupan sehari-hari. Dari perspektif umum, para peserta menggunakan AI untuk diaplikasikan dalam optimalisasi pemanfaatan energi renewable. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan serta dapat mengembangkan keterampilan dan kreatifitas pelajar dan mahasiswa terutama soft skill yang berbasis kecerdasan tiruan (AI) dalam mengoptimalisasi pemanfaatan energi terbarukan (renewable).  Sasaran utama dari pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelajar atau mahasiswa. Sosialisasi, workshop dan pelatihan yang telah diterapkan guna membantu peserta dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk optimalisasi pemanfaatan energi renewable. Pengukuran tingkat keterpahaman peserta dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post test yang dievaluasi hasilnya. Dimana hasil evaluasi keterpahaman peserta dlam memahami materi dan aplikasi AI meningkat kurang lebih sebesar 35% dibandingkan dengan hasil pre test. Dan keseluruhan dari peserta sangat tertarik dengan optimalisasi pemanfaatan energi renewable berbasis kecerdasan tiruan (AI).

Abstract

Writing exposition texts requires clear logic and argument structure, but many students still have difficulty organising ideas coherently due to their weak ability to build logical relationships between ideas. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the ADIKSIMBA technique as a logical thinking development method in improving students' exposition text writing ability. Different from conventional methods that only emphasise text structure without guiding the thinking process, ADIKSIMBA offers a systematic thinking framework that helps students develop arguments gradually and logically. This study used a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection with the subject of 28 class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews, as well as triangulation using analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the ADIKSIMBA technique effectively improved students' exposition writing skills logically, systematically and creatively, with an average score of 83.6 in cycle II. A total of 64.3% of students were in the high and very high categories, with the language quality aspect recording the highest score (88.1), followed by logical argument (84.3) and text structure (78.5). It can be concluded that ADIKSIMBA is a logical thinking strategy that can be used in improving students' ability to write coherent exposition texts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of critical thinking aspects on students' psychomotor skills. Aspects of critical thinking include interpreting, planning, predicting, analyzing, evaluating, and decision-making. This research was applied to a microprocessor and microcontroller programming technique subject at a vocational higher school in Surabaya-Indonesia. The multiple linear regression method was chosen to analyze the effect of simultaneous and partial aspects of critical thinking on students' psychomotor skills. The results showed that there was a significant influence between aspects of critical thinking simultaneously on students' psychomotor skills. While partially, only the predicting aspect has a significant influence on students' psychomotor skills. For other aspects, there is no significant effect on students' psychomotor skills.

Abstract

The endless runner game is one of the most popular game genres, but selecting the optimal character for different map challenges poses a significant problem for players. In this context, this research was conducted to help select characters in the endless runner game using the PROMETHEE method. This selection is recommended based on the weight and difficulty of each map which varies, including the rice field map, road map and alley map. The implementation of calculating character recommendations uses the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) method with the highest score as the best ranking. Rank suitability can be determined by comparing the PROMETHEE method with the TOPSIS method on 15 characters alternatives with 6 criteria. As a result, the PROMETHEE method has significant value, but some still have the same best ranking as the TOPSIS method. Furthermore, usability testing was carried out on 57 respondents using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with an overall score from the evaluation of 78,8. The final score obtained based on the acceptance scale was included in the category suitable for use.

Abstract

Challenges encountered during the Industrial Era 4.0 include information technology security, the reliability and stability of production machinery, insufficient skills, resistance to change among stakeholders, and significant job displacement due to automation. This study aimed to investigate variations in digital literacy skills between students using modules and those not using modules in a flipped classroom setting at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro. The research employed experimental quantitative methods, utilizing observation and student test results for data collection. Data analysis involved the use of an independent sample T-TEST. The results of the T-TEST indicated that the average score for the module group was 78.53 with 30 participants, while the non-module group averaged 73.3 with 30 participants, resulting in a difference (diff) of 5.2. The statistical significance (p-value) in the Pr(T>t) row (under Ha: diff > 0) was found to be less than 0.05, confirming a statistically significant difference between the two groups. This study concludes that students' digital literacy skills in the software engineering program at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro are higher when using teaching modules in flipped classroom learning compared to those who do not use modules. This research contributes to the educational database at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro, particularly for class XI students in the software engineering expertise program.
