Abstract

Abstract

Tim PKM Universitas Majalengka memberikan materi sesuai kepakaran masing-masing. Abstract

This study is inspired by the relevance of positive social attitudes in developing harmonious connections with others, including peers, family, and society. The study examines how differentiated digital media, grounded in Balinese folklore and cultural values, influence the social perspectives of elementary school students. The research method adopted is quantitative, with an experimental component. The study's findings indicate that utilizing digital media rooted in Balinese culture, particularly through folklore, significantly enhances students' social attitudes, including helping one another, empathy, tolerance, peaceful living, and social participation. These improvements are closely tied to the cultural messages embedded in the stories. The results support earlier research that folklore, as a cultural artifact with strong moral messages, can shape future behavior. This study highlights the importance of integrating cultural heritage into digital learning tools to build moral and social values. The recommended steps include producing more culturally-based educational resources, providing teacher training to apply culturally-rich materials, and conducting further studies to evaluate the long-term impact of folklore-based digital media on character education.

Abstract

The pervasive influence of various advertisements across multiple media platforms, promoting instant and packaged food and beverages, has contributed to the unhealthy lifestyle habits of learners. Examples include the consumption of foods or beverages detrimental to health. Non-environmentally friendly materials can also have a negative impact on the environment. Consequently, there is a need for individuals to understand and recognise the importance of consuming healthy and environmentally friendly local food. This research examined the validity of pictorial teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Indramayu, aimed at enhancing learners' eco-literacy skills. The study was conducted among fourth-grade students at Public Primary School A and B in Indramayu. The research model applied was Borg & Gall's model. The researchers validated the product based on content, language, and graphic reliability. The validation process involved three experts and two practitioners. The data validity test incorporated interviews, observations, and documentation. The results demonstrated that the content reliability was 87.50%, language validity was 89.16%, and graphic validity was 91.66%. These results indicated a category of high validity. The findings suggested that the pictorial teaching material, grounded in Indramayu local wisdom, was beneficial for further learning. Future researchers could extend this research by developing other forms of teaching materials

Abstract

Differentiated social studies learning is the right solution according to the learning needs of students, but there are still limited digital teaching modules that can meet the diverse needs of students in heterogeneous classrooms. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of hypermedia-based e-modules in Social Sciences (IPS) learning that applies a differentiated approach at the elementary school level. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach in several elementary schools in Indonesia. Data was collected through questionnaires, teacher and student interviews, and classroom observations to identify gaps between current learning conditions and actual needs in the field. The results of the analysis showed that teachers experienced obstacles in delivering social studies materials effectively to students with different abilities and learning styles. In addition, the available learning media has not been able to stimulate students' creative thinking skills optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to develop hypermedia e-modules that are interactive, adaptive, and able to support differentiation strategies and encourage students' creative thinking skills. These findings provide an empirical basis for designing digital learning modules that are contextual and responsive to the needs of the 21st century in primary schools.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the increasing integration of digital technology in elementary education in the era of Society 5.0, which requires learning approaches that foster the development of 21st-century skills, particularly critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. One technology with the potential to address this need is Virtual Reality (VR), which provides immersive, interactive learning experiences that can enhance students’ engagement and understanding. This study aims to analyze research trends and the effectiveness of Virtual Reality-based learning media in elementary schools. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature searches were conducted using the Scopus and Google Scholar databases via the Publish or Perish (PoP) application, covering publications from 2019 to September 2025 [R1]. Of the 454 identified articles, 20 studies were selected through systematic screening and eligibility criteria. The findings indicate a significant increase in VR-related publications in 2023 and 2024, with most studies published in reputable international journals. VR is predominantly applied in science subjects; however, its use has expanded to other areas such as English, arts, religious education, social studies, and physical education. Overall, VR-based learning has been shown to improve students’ conceptual understanding, learning motivation, engagement, immersive experiences, and 21st-century skills. Therefore, Virtual Reality has strong potential to enhance the quality of elementary school learning and is consistent with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum [R1].
