Abstract

THE ADVANCED ELECTRIC FIELD FROM QUAD-ELECTRODE MODE FOR BLOOD CANCER TRAPPING: SIMULATION STUDY. Blood cancer is a disease caused by the rapid cleavage of white blood cells (WBC), which increases in the human circulatory system. Furthermore, based on the original nature of WBC during cleavage, which is the same as ionic bonds, electric field filtering, and trapping is used to treat leukemia patients. The electric field generated by the electrode with an AC voltage source plays a role in the migration of the WBC to high electric field intensity. The Quad-electrode field distribution is conducted using the Finite Element Method (FEM), and an electric field gradient analysis is conducted to determine the effectiveness of each coordinate system. According to the simulation results, the second model with an input voltage of 0.68 V has the highest intensity of electric field distribution, with an effective depth at Z = 30 mm, and the best coordinate along the X-axis and Y-axis are 30 mm. In conclusion, the center of the Quad-electrode system center is the best location for placing filters and trapping leukocytes by utilizing electric field distribution on the electrode system for the development of blood cancer biomedical therapy technology.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of 5A grade students at SDN DUKUH KUPANG II SURABAYA through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the subject "How is the Shape of My Indonesia," supported by the digital media ArcGIS. The background of this research is the low student motivation in understanding abstract and less contextual geographical material. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of PBL assisted by ArcGIS significantly enhanced students’ learning motivation. In cycle I, the average motivation level was 68%, which increased to 85% in cycle II. Student engagement in discussions also increased from 65% to 82%. These findings indicate that PBL combined with digital media can create active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experiences, and is therefore recommended as an innovative approach to thematic learning in primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the GeoGebra application in enhancing the critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the topic of three-dimensional shapes. The background of this research is based on the importance of critical thinking in mathematics learning and the need for interactive and contextual learning media. The method used is a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest model. This study involved a sample of 35 students from class VIII G at SMP Negeri 1 Gurah, Kediri Regency. The research instrument consisted of tests that measured indicators of critical thinking skills, administered before and after learning using the GeoGebra application. The data analysis results showed that most students experienced an improvement in their critical thinking abilities. The pretest score was 60.71, which increased to 81.88 in the posttest. Based on the N-Gain classification, 85.75% of students were in the medium to high category. This improvement indicates that GeoGebra is effective in supporting the mathematics learning process, particularly in assisting visual understanding of concepts and increasing student engagement. Therefore, the use of the GeoGebra application can be an alternative learning media to improve students’ critical thinking skills. The researcher extends sincere gratitude to all parties involved, especially to SMP Negeri 1 Gurah, Kediri Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran flashcard dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas 2 SD. Dengan melibatkan 25 siswa, penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest untuk mengukur perubahan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan media flashcard. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 60 pada pretest menjadi 85 pada posttest, dengan kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 25 poin. Analisis menggunakan uji t independent menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan flashcard secara efektif membantu siswa memahami konsep dasar matematika, seperti penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran flashcard merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, serta dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam proses pembelajaran di pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN Dukuh Kupang II Surabaya dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berdifrensiasi materi Identitas Budaya Masyarakat. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dan dilakukan dua tahapan (2 siklus). Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah peserta didik kelas IV yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Dalam Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan dimulai dengan kegiatan prasiklus. Pada setiap siklus dilakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluai, dan refleksi. Hasil yang diperoleh Pada siklus I menunjukkan persentase sebesar 85,43%, sedangkan pada siklus II mengalami penigkatan yaitu sebesar 92,32%. Sehingga penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berhasil meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN Dukuh Kupang II/489 Surabaya.
