Abstract

Sistem kontak keamanan sepeda motor saat ini menggunakan kunci konvensional yang dengan mudahnya dibobol untuk begal. Sedangkan sepeda motor dengan sistem keamanan remote kontrol masih saja bisa dicuri salah satunya dengan mencuri remotnya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem keamanan sepeda motor menggunakan sensor sidik jari dengan penambahan pelacak lokasi berbasis prototipe. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mengidupkan dan mematikan sepeda motor serta memudahkan akses tanpa membawa kunci lagi. Prototipe ini menggunakan komponen utama seperti sensor sidik jari, arduino mega, modul sim 800L, Gps Neo N8M, sensor getar, Modul LCD I2C 16x2, dan buzzer. Serta penambahan kontrol untuk membuka jok, tangki motor dan kunci stang melalui servo dan relay. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, observasi, metode pengembangan dan ekperimen. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem dapat bekerja secara akurat dalam mengenali sidik jari yang terdaftar, mengaktikan dan mematikan sistem, serta melacak lokasi kendaraan melalui SMS. Sistem akan mendeteksi adanya percobaan pencurian seperti getaran pada sensor getar dan sidik jari tidak terdaftar, dan pada kondisi tersebut alarm akan menyala.

Abstract

Perbaikan desain nozel jet pump untuk meningkatkan efisiensi telah dilakukan. Paper ini akan membahas secara detail hasil kajian numerik pengaruh perubahan arah aliran terhadap efisiensi jet pump, validasi data hasil analisa numerik dilakukan dengan melakukan pengujian operasional jet pump pada kondisi desain dan kondisi setelah modifikasi. Kajian numerik dilakukan dengan menggunakan simulasi CFD untuk mendapatkan distibusi kecepatan, volume aliran dan tekanan pada sisi isap dan buangan jet pump. Pengujian dilakukan dengan kapasitas aliran 0.45 liter/detik, dengan tekanan pada sisi isap sebesar 35 psi (241.3 kPa), selanjutnya diukur perubahan kecepatan aliran dan tekanan pada sisi buang jet pump. Dari hasil pengujian pada kondisi standard diperoleh nilai efisiensi 16,28%, sedangkan dari ahsil analisa CFD diperoleh efisiensi 16.4%, sedangkan nilai efisiensi dari kondisi yang telah dimodifikasi dengan mengunakan CFD adalah 27.51%, Pembahasan hasil analisa CFD ditampilkam dalam bentuk distribusi tekanan dan kecepatan aliran, dimana terjadi perubahan distribuasi tekanan dan kecepatan pada nozzle dari kondisi standard dengan kondisi yang telah dimodifikasi.

Abstract

Fan sering digunakan pada inkubator penetas telur untuk menyerap udara dari dalam ke luar ingkubator, yang mempengaruhi prinsip perpindahan panas dari sumber kalor. Jenis inkubator yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah inkubator rak tunggal ukuran 0,6 x 0,6 x 0,3 m, dengan menggunakan 4 buah lampu pijar masing-masing 5 watt, dengan melakukan dua pengujian, yaitu mengunakan fan dan yang kedua tidak menggunakan fan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perubahan temperature, kelembaban dan penyerapan kalor oleh udara pada kedua inkubator tersebut, dengan cara melakukan pengukuran temperature dan kelembaban baik di dalam maupun diluar inkubator selama 24 jam adapun hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah fluktuasi suhu yang menggunakan fan lebih stabil yaiut 7,50C, dibangdingkan dengan yang tidak menggunakan fan yaitu 7,70C, Kelembaban udara yang terajdi di dalam inkubator yang tidak menggunakan fan lebih fluktuatif 29,9%, sedangkan yang menggunakan fan 18,8%, Serapan kalor oleh udara di dalam inkubator yang menggunakan fan adalah 1,67 watt berbanding dengan yang tidak menggunakan fan 1,46 watt.

Abstract

Respon Parking bumper bahan komposit polymeric foam diperkuat serat Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) telah diteliti dengan menggunakan pengujian tekan statik dan impak jatuh bebas dan simulasi. Pengujian dilakukan pada struktur parking bumper berbentuk trapesium dengan bidang pengujian sisi atas dan sisi miring. Pada pengujian statik, dimensi spesimen diameter penetrator disesuaikan dengan skala laboratium, sedangkan pada uji jatuh bebas dimensi spesimen dan impaktor disesuaikan dengan standard lebar roda mobil. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh besarnya tegangan dan regangan struktur parking bumper akibat beban tekan statik sisi atas adalah 1,04 MPa dan 0,072 m/m, pada sisi miring adalah 0,273 MPa dan 0,003 m/m. Hasil simulasi diperoleh tegangan dan regangan pada sisi atas adalah 0,759 MPa dan 0,083 m/m, pada sisi miring adalah 0,246 MPa dan 0,026 m/m. Besarnya gaya dan tegangan impak jatuh bebas pada pengujian sisi atas adalah 59,46 N dan 0,0067 MPa, pada sisi miring adalah 49,54 N dan 0,00423 MPa. Hasil simulasi pada sisi atas diperoleh 2,271 MPa dan 0,0078 m/m, pada sisi miring adalah 1,167 MPa dan 0,0040 m/m.

Abstract

Composite materials are a combination of two or more materials with different properties. Areca fiber, a natural fiber abundant in Indonesia, has the potential to be used as reinforcement in composites with Polyester BTQN 157 resin as the matrix. This study aims to analyze the effect of varying fiber-resin weight fractions (10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%) on impact strength. Specimens were fabricated using the hand lay-up method and tested using the Charpy impact method according to ASTM standards. The results show that the composite with 20% fiber content achieved the highest impact strength, at 3.193 kJ/m². However, this value remains below the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) requirement for safety helmets, which is 0.00972 J/mm². The produced helmet weighs 470 grams, exceeding the SNI standard (337 ± 5 grams). Although the helmet demonstrated resistance to impact, further research is required to optimize the material composition to fully meet SNI standards.

Abstract

The development of heat treatment testing equipment is essential in metallurgical applications, especially for determining the hardenability of steel. This study focuses on designing a portable Jominy test apparatus to evaluate the hardenability of AISI 1045 medium carbon steel, offering a more practical and cost-effective solution. The apparatus was built with an angle iron frame (64 x 82 x 64 cm) and equipped with a 200-liter water drum and a Shimizu water pump (18 L/min flow rate). Hardness testing was performed using the Rockwell B method (150 kgf load, 15-second dwell) on specimens subjected to three conditions: raw, water-quenched, and oil-quenched, after heating at 900 °C for 30 minutes. The results showed hardness increases from 91.00 HRB (raw) to 101.33 HRB (water-quenched) and 100.33 HRB (oil-quenched), with water quenching producing slightly higher values due to its faster cooling rate. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the portable apparatus for evaluating AISI 1045 steel hardenability with advantages in portability, cost, and reliability.

Abstract

The development and application of circular cylinders are extensively used in various fields of engineering. These applications include the construction of offshore support pipelines, subsea pipeline networks, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Previous research has consistently shown that drag force, lift force, and vortex shedding occur when fluid flows past these cylinder arrangements. Consequently, further investigations have been conducted through numerical simulations, primarily aiming to mitigate these undesirable phenomena of drag, lift, and vortex shedding within the circular cylinder arrangements. This particular study focuses on four circular cylinders arranged in an in-line square configuration. The main cylinder diameter (D) is 25 mm, while the diameter of the disturbing body (BP) (d) is 4 mm, resulting in a diameter ratio (d/D) of 0.16. This cylinder arrangement was positioned within a narrow square channel with cross-sectional dimensions of H = 300 mm and L = 1500 mm. The setup had a blockage ratio of 25% and was tested at a Reynolds number (Re) of 5.0×104, based on the cylinder diameter. For the study, three variations of Inlet Disturbance Bodies (IDB) were placed at angles of 0o, 90o, and 270o in front of the two upstream cylinders, maintaining a gap ratio (G/D) of 0.16 relative to the circular cylinders. This numerical simulation research was carried out using 2D Unsteady-RANS via Ansys Fluent Student R2021 software. A structured mesh was employed for meshing, and the k-ω-SST model was selected for turbulence modeling. The findings of this research indicate that both the distance (L/D) and the implementation of three IDBs significantly influence the drag coefficient observed on the four circular cylinders arranged in an in-line square formation. Specifically, the addition of three IDBs around the two upstream cylinders at angles of 0o, 90o, and 270o proved to be highly effective in reducing the drag coefficient (CD) on cylinder 3 (downstream top) and cylinder 4 (downstream bottom).

Abstract

Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches (OPEFB) is one of the solid wastes of the palm oil industry that is used as an alternative material to replace composite products. Composite is a material that is formed from a combination of two or more materials so that a composite material is produced that has different mechanical properties and characteristics from the forming material. This research aims to make the body of a food delivery car robot and obtain the characteristics of being able to machine (Drilling and Sawing), The test material used is a foamed polymer composite material reinforced with OPEFB fiber. The composite manufacturing process is carried out by the hand lay-up method. This test was carried out using 3 variations of drill bits with diameters of 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm and by using cutting speeds of 20 m/min, 40 m/min, and 60 m/min. From the results of the comparison, the use of drill bits with a diameter of 8 mm obtained the most optimal results, where a cutting speed of 20 m/min produced a rotation speed of 796.17 rpm, a cutting speed of 40 m/min produced a rotation speed of 1592.3 rpm, and a cutting speed of 60 m/min produced a rotation speed of 2388.5 rpm. The greater the cutting speed, the greater the spindle rotation produced; the low cutting speed followed by the low spindle rotation does not raise the cutting force enough so that the composite plane will break.

Abstract

Eichhornia crassipes (water hyacinth) is a fast-growing aquatic plant in tropical regions like Indonesia. Though often considered a weed, it remains underutilized as an alternative energy source. This study explores its potential as a solid fuel in the form of eco-friendly bio-briquettes. The production process includes drying, carbonization, sieving, mixing with binder, molding, and final drying. Laboratory tests involved proximate analysis and calorific value measurement. Results showed that the briquettes contained 9.61% moisture, 3.93% ash, 7.89% volatile matter, 78.57% fixed carbon, and a calorific value of 25.8 kJ/g. Compared to coconut shell briquettes, water hyacinth briquettes burn more slowly but offer cleaner and more stable combustion. These characteristics make them a suitable renewable energy source for households and small industries.

Abstract

The development of Islamic banking in Indonesia has shown significant progress, yet public trust remains a critical determinant for its sustainable growth. This study investigates the influence of Islamic banking growth and development on public trust, focusing on three key dimensions: digital innovation, asset growth, and financing expansion. The objective is to determine which factors most strongly affect trust and how this trust impacts customer loyalty and preference toward Islamic financial institutions. Using a quantitative survey method, data were collected from 400 respondents across various regions in Indonesia who are users or observers of Islamic banking services. The research employed statistical analysis techniques including descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis to examine relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that digital innovation has the most significant positive impact on public trust, followed by asset growth and financing performance. Trust, in turn, mediates customer loyalty and preference for Islamic banking. The study also finds that consistency in applying Shariah-compliant practices enhances credibility and long-term engagement with customers. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic banking by integrating Islamic ethical perspectives, including references from the Qur'an and Hadith, into the discourse on financial trust. Practically, the results highlight the importance of technological innovation and value-based service delivery in strengthening trust in Islamic banking institutions. The study recommends continuous investment in digital platforms, ethical financing models, and transparent communication strategies to improve trust and institutional sustainability.
