Abstract

Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) is considered by the social society as the agent of moral force that has given major contribution to the Islamic educational institutions in achieving what so called perfect human being, by upholding morals and morality in the society, particularly for women in Islam. Therefore, in order to create a modern and intelligent generation, Islamic Boarding Schools advances women’s Islamic education. How and in what way Ummul Mu’minin takes this role, has inspired researchers to study it. This paper is a case study that shows that the existence of girls Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) of Ummul Mukminin coordinated by ‘Aisyiyah in South Sulawesi region is one those Islamic educational institution that is able to accelerate Muslim women’s educational progress. Therefore, this Pesantren is expected to continue enhancing its contribution in the community development, especially Muslim women, as well as the extensive development of Islamic thought that can answer the challenges of civilization in globalization era, even as a pioneer for other Islamic educational institutions in shaping modern, intelligent Islamic women generations.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of strategic education institutions in developing a harmonious, harmonious and peaceful life in a diverse society of religions, tribes and cultures. As educational institutions function to engage in social integration, it is deemed most potential to instill the attitudes and values of togetherness, unity, peace, respect and closeness among ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural diversity of learners and society. The results of this study show the efforts and strategies undertaken STAIN Sorong institutions in applying a multicultural-oriented education. Through the cultivation of the spirit of multiculturalism will be a medium of training and awareness for the younger generation to accept cultural, religious, racial, ethnic and difference needs among others and willing to live together peacefully, especially in Papua

Abstract

Resistensi masyarakat Yellu terhadap pendidikan Islam formal dalam tradisi sautubah telah menimbulkan persoalan di tengah masyarakat sekaligus mengesampingkan pendidikan formal. Tulisan ini bertujuan menguji bagaimana hubungan antara tradisi sautubah dengan pendidikan formal pada masyarakat Yellu Misool Raja Ampat. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari wawancara tokoh masyarakat dan tokoh agama di kampung Yellu Misool Raja Ampat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat resistensi masyarakat terhadap pendidikan Islam formal dalam praktik sautubah, masyarakat yang dibolehkan menjadi khatib Jumat hanyalah orang yang telah dikader secara adat (khusus). Kondisi ini mengingkari kualifikasi keilmuan akademisi, ustadz, kiyai ataupun cendekiawan, ilmuan dan ulama untuk menjadi khatib. Sejalan dengan itu, tulisan ini menyarankan perlunya suatu korelasi antara adat dan literatur fikih dalam menjalankan agama.Keywords: Resistensi, Tradisi Sautubah, Pendidikan Islam Formal

Abstract

The Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was a tradition that developed in the Islamic community long after the Prophet Muhammad died. The people of Fafanlap Village consider maulid as something that is not merely a tradition but is a form of Islamic teachings that is ordered contextually. The problem in this research is how the implementation of the procession maulid carried out in the village of Fafanlap? And What are the values of education that can be seen from the tradition of maulids in the Fafanlap community?. This study intends to describe the implementation of the maulid ritual tradition in Fafanlap Village and identify the value education of the maulid tradition of the Fafanlap Village community. In this study, the authors used a type of qualitative research with a pedagogical approach and took location in Fafanlap Village. The focus of research on the tradition of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. The author's data source obtained through literature study, observation, and interview interviews of related parties such as community leaders, who the authors consider to understand the concept of maulid and the processes that occur in Fafanlap Village in Fafanlap Village, South Misool District, Raja Ampat Regency. The results of this study indicate that the maulid tradition procession carried out in Fafanlap Village is an activity carried out that does not require a long time, both in terms of preparation, implementation, and closure, but in the procession revealed various spiritual values. Although in the process of carrying out the tradition of maulid in Fafanlap village it is not quite time-consuming, it can be said to be very tiring. Due to the full night of the village community sitting together in the mosque eagerly, the solemnity of reading some of the books of maulid summarized in one book. They believe and believe the little effort they made in terms of expressing their expressions of gratitude in commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW could be a manifestation of profits to them in the next life. The tradition of maulid in the Fafanlap village community, indirectly put aside a lot of various concepts of Islamic religious education which have been passed down from generation to generation intentionally, related to the values of faith, worship, and morals.

Abstract

This article examines one of the strategic efforts to prevent the spread of ideology of radicalism and terrorism, even conflict through religious education based on local cultural values as an effort to instill tolerant citizenship attitudes and uphold religious, national and state identities so that they remain inherent among the younger generation. Based on the result of the phenomenological qualitative research as well as interview data and observation on the indigenous peoples of Fakfak regency of west Papua, the local wisdom of “Satu Tungku Tiga Batu” in the multi etnic and multi religious Fakfak indigenous communities is able to internalize its cultural values into cohesive and reflecting values in the character of its strong citizens. Local wisdom “Satu Tungku Tiga Batu” in addition to functioning to maintain harmony and brotherhood, the concept of a three stone furnace also functions as a fakfak community identity that has a tolerant attitude, prioritizes the public interest rather than personal interest, honestly, does not like to interfere in the affairs of others and love one another. Local wisdom based religious education is presented not only in school educational, but also in family and community settings. This is evident from the existence of the people of Fakfak of west Papua who are very tolerant of one another, so that harmony in religious and social life is maintained, even interethnic and interfaith conflicts can be said to never occur.

Abstract

Women are the most unique creatures. Discourse on the uniqueness of women always attract discussed in various perspectives. Various discourses that emerged about women always actual. One of the unique aspects of women who alwayswarmly discussed was the importance of the role of women in public areas. As well as the Political Parties Law and the Election Law which mandated quota of 30 percent representation of women, both in management and in the competition of political parties into Parliament. Opportunities in the political contest warmed back the conversation between the functions, roles and responsibilities of women in the area of “domestic” with activities in the “public domain”. How can a Muslim should react to it? This research will discuss how womens studies in Qualitative and leadership according to Islamic perspective. So the absence of the crux and the dilemma for Muslim women (Muslimah) in the world take part in the public or politics. Results of the study explained that Islam gives a very high appreciation of women. Al-Qur’an laden with symbols and massages about women. In fact there are two suras that provide specific appreciation of the position and status of women, is surah Al-Nisa and surah Al-Thalaq. Al-Qur’an put women equal to men as caliph and the servant of God in this earth. Differences in the nature of women and men to make women more protected so that they are not abused and that they can fully carry out their duties while maintaining it s dentitiy as a Muslim woman. Thus, in the context of Indonesia, opportunities that are open and public space for opportunities should certainly be welcomed by women, by preparing themselves, not just a figure complementary to men, but as partners and relationships that have reliable quality, because a woman was appointed as the leader due to his ability that has competencies and criteria as leaders expected

Abstract

Value is not something we see from the world based on what we know, but value is more related to what should happen. Islamic education is a process of changing individual behavior for the better, so the value of Islamic education is the things or traits inherent in Islamic education that are used as a basis or life guide to become a better person. Islam recognizes the existence of community customs because customs are part of that society. In addition, customs or traditions often contain values whose source is the religion adopted or Islamic education. So the purpose of this study is to explore the values of Islamic education contained in the fanten tradition carried out by the Patani community of Central Halmahera every month of Rabiul Awal as an expression of gratitude for the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. So it can be understood that in the fanten tradition there is a process for strengthening faith, worship and morals which are the values of Islamic education

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of religious moderation values and the efforts of PAI teachers in instilling religious moderation values at YAPIS Teminabuan Vocational School. Sources of data are primary data sourced from school principals, vice principals, teachers, and students. While secondary data are taken from documents that have anything to do with research. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that religious moderation at YAPIS Teminabuan Vocational School is contained in the values of national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local culture. Efforts to instill the values of religious moderation at YAPIS Teminabuan Vocational School apply several methods, namely; first, the learning method in the classroom. Second, extracurricular activities. Third, habituation activities. Habits in the school environment such as reading the Koran, giving opportunities to followers of other religions if they want to worship, and carrying out community service in the school environment which is carried out by all school members

Abstract

Religious moderation within the framework of local wisdom is practiced by the indigenous people of the island of Misool Raja Ampat, Southwest Papua. This can be seen in every community activity that always prioritizes mutual respect between religions. This paper describes the practice of religious moderation carried out by the people of Raja Ampat's Misool Island. This research is based on phenomenological research by looking directly at people's lives with a qualitative approach research method. This research shows that the people of the Misool island in their daily life really uphold the value of religious moderation. This can be seen in several traditional parties or religious activities. The people of Misool Island always prioritize harmony and togetherness regardless of religious background and religious affiliation. Religious traditions that have been practiced since ancient times are still the main pattern in maintaining togetherness and peace. So that with strong moderation, people will have a strong emotional relationship with each other. Moreover, the tribes are dominated by indigenous Papuan people. So that this research can be used as an example of moderation literacy based on local wisdom.
