Abstract

This research examines the land conflict that has arisen between a company and the residents of Pari Island in the Thousand Islands. The research addresses the following research questions:  1) What has been the prevailing model for resolving land conflicts between the company and the community of Pari Island in the Thousand Islands up to this point? 2) What is the ideal concept of land ownership and usage envisioned by both the company and the residents of the Thousand Islands? The research employs a sociolegal research methodology.  Research Outcomes: 1) The author's analysis suggests that the prevailing approach to resolving land conflicts between the company and the Pari Island community in the Thousand Islands has largely relied on government administration and political conflict resolution, namely "Government Administration and Political Conflict Resolution. This category of conflict resolution can guide one's thought process towards government administration and political solutions through legislative decisions." The resolution was achieved through conflict resolution efforts involving the local government in a non-litigious manner, specifically through mediation where the government acts as the mediator. Mediation has occurred on three occasions, two of which were held at the village level and one at the district level. 2) In the ideal concept that the author intends to propose for addressing the issue of conflict, one of the essential approaches that should be incorporated is the conflict resolution approach. The concept of conflict resolution prioritizes non-violent methods as the final recourse. The objective is to address conflicts in a constructive manner, with the ultimate goal of meeting the requirements and needs of all parties involved. Mediation, carried out by the parties involved in the land dispute on Pari Island, represents one form of conflict resolution. However, if mediation has not yielded success thus far, it becomes imperative to explore alternative conflict resolution models. Among these alternatives are negotiation and facilitation

Abstract

Technological advances in the digital era have had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the financial reporting system. One form of this transformation is the use of web-based applications to facilitate the process of managing and presenting financial data. PMB Nining, an Independent Midwife Practice in Sukatenang Village, Bekasi Regency, still carries out manual financial reporting using books, which risks causing recording errors, physical data damage, and delays in reporting. This study aims to design and build a web-based financial reporting system using the prototype method with the Laravel framework. This approach involves users in every stage of the design so that the system developed is in accordance with their needs. In addition, system testing is carried out using the black box testing method to ensure that each function runs according to specifications. The test results show that all main features, such as user authentication, transaction recording, data validation, printing reports in PDF and Excel formats, and staff data management, function properly and achieve a 100% success rate. The system is also able to handle various types of input, both valid and invalid. The presence of dashboard and report filter features also supports a more efficient financial monitoring process. Thus, this system can be a solution to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting at PMB Nining, while also contributing to the development of information technology in the health services sector.

Abstract

The increasing use of social media in micro-enterprise activities has expanded access to business information while simultaneously creating digital information overload that may affect the quality of financial decision-making. This study aims to examine the effect of digital information overload on the financial performance efficiency of micro-entrepreneurs. A mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed, involving 100 respondents for quantitative analysis using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and 10 informants for in-depth interviews conducted in 2025. Quantitative data were analyzed using simple linear regression, while qualitative data were examined through thematic analysis to enrich the interpretation of statistical findings. The results indicate that digital information overload significantly influences financial performance efficiency, particularly through information intensity, complexity, and processing difficulties that affect decision accuracy and cost management. This study contributes to the understanding of financial decision-making behavior in the digital era and provides practical implications for micro-entrepreneurs to manage information flows more selectively and strategically in order to enhance financial performance.

Abstract

Penggunaan material alternatif berbasis limbah sebagai substitusi semen merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari industri konstruksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja mekanik dan ketahanan beton dengan substitusi parsial abu cangkang telur (eggshell ash, ESA) serta penambahan silika fume (SF) dalam lingkungan asam sulfat. Beton dirancang dengan variasi substitusi ESA sebesar 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15% terhadap berat semen, dengan penambahan silika fume tetap sebesar 10%. Benda uji direndam dalam larutan asam sulfat dengan pH sekitar 4 pada umur perendaman tertentu. Parameter yang diuji meliputi kuat tekan, kuat tarik belah, kecepatan rambat gelombang ultrasonik (UPV), dan susut beton. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran beton dengan substitusi ESA sebesar 5% dan penambahan SF sebesar 10% memberikan kinerja optimum, ditandai dengan peningkatan kuat tekan, kuat tarik belah, dan nilai UPV, serta nilai susut yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan beton kontrol dan variasi dengan kadar ESA yang lebih tinggi. Peningkatan kadar ESA di atas 5% cenderung menurunkan ketahanan beton akibat meningkatnya kerentanan terhadap serangan asam. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ESA dan silika fume pada kadar optimum berpotensi menghasilkan beton ramah lingkungan dengan ketahanan yang lebih baik pada lingkungan asam sulfat.

Abstract

The shear strength and bearing capacity of soil are influenced by its type, mineral composition, and particle size. Both cohesion and the friction angle play significant roles in determining soil strength, while density is crucial for supporting forces. This study examines the effects of grain size, soil minerals, and water content on the shear strength and bearing capacity of soil. Various tests such as California Bearing Ratio, Direct Shear, and Unconfined Compression Test are conducted on sand and clay, compacted with different numbers of strikes and water contents. The study also explores the impact of organic soil and fly ash on shear strength. Additionally, immersion tests are performed to assess how water absorption affects the soil’s properties. Results show that compression at the optimum moisture content (OMC) produces the highest strength, while compression at higher moisture levels results in greater strength loss compared to drier conditions. At a constant water content, increased soil density leads to higher bearing capacity. Conversely, excess water content reduces the soil's strength. The presence of clay, fly ash, and organic material increases water absorption capacity. In sandy soils, the distribution of grain size significantly influences shear behavior. The addition of clay enhances both the friction angle and soil cohesion, while higher fly ash content tends to reduce the friction angle and improve soil cohesion. Interestingly, cohesion appears to be unaffected by the sand's gradation.  Keywords: bearing capacity, clay, fly ash, shear strength, sand.
