Abstract

Pada sistem demokrasi, partisipasi masyarakat tidak hanya diwujudkan melalui kematangan demokrasi, tetapi penting bagi masyarakat mewujudkan indahnya perbedaan dalam kebebasan berpendapat dan meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam politik pemerintahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat sorong selatan terhadap PILKADA 2024, Bagaimana KPU Kabupaten Sorong Selatan menghadapi tantangan yang ada selama PILKADA 2024 dan Strategi apa saja yang digunakan Komisi Pemilihan Umum Kabupaten Sorong Selatan dalam meningkatkan Partisipasi masyarakat. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dimana proses pengumpulan datanya berupa wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi literatur yang diperoleh melalui artikel, buku, informasi dan sebagainya yang berhubungan dengan topik yang sedang dibahas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di Sorong Selatan sangat antusias dan semangat dalam menatap PILKADA 2024, hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya baliho, spanduk, stiker, pamflet dari masing-masing calon, adanya sosilisasi tim sukses setiap calon kepada masyarakat untuk memilih calonnya dan konsolidasi calon bersama masyarakat diberbagai tempat. KPU Kabupaten Sorong Selatan sendiri aktif melakukan sosialisasi PILKADA 2024, baik dari aspek regulasi maupun kebijakan-kebijakan lainnya. Selain itu KPU Sorong Selatan juga aktif mengunjungi sekolah-sekolah hingga perguruan tinggi sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat terkhusus kepada calon pemilih pemula. Tantangan yang dihadapi KPU Sorong Selatan meliputi rendahnya literasi masyarakat, lemahnya infrastruktur teknologi informasi dan keterbatasan sumber daya penyelenggara.

Abstract

The research explores about Problem Posing Approach in enhancing speaking skill at the second grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Mare in 2024/2025 academic year. Utilizing a pre experimental design featuring a single group with both pretest and posttest phases, the study focused on a population of 120 students distributed across four classes: 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D. Through purposive sampling, class 2B was selected as the sample group, as most of its students were identified as having lower speaking proficiency. Initially, participants underwent an oral assessment to gauge their baseline speaking skills. This was followed by six instructional sessions applying the Problem Posing Approach, after which a post-test was administered. Speaking performance was assessed using several key indicators such as fluency, word choice, articulation, and overall clarity. The results indicated a notable enhancement in average performance scores, which increased from a mean score of 6.87 (SD = 0.71) before the intervention to 10.77 (SD = 0.62) afterward. A paired-sample t-test confirmed the statistical significance of this increase at the 0.05 level (t = 21.06; df = 29; critical t = 2.045). These results suggest that incorporating learner-formulated questions into classroom practice significantly enhances classroom dialogue, improves language production, and strengthens student confidence in speaking. The study concludes that the Problem Posing Approach is an effective pedagogical strategy for elevating speaking proficiency in EFL contexts where student participation is traditionally limited. Educators are encouraged to integrate structured problem formulation and peer dialogue into speaking curricula to cultivate both communicative competence and critical thinking.

Abstract

This research investigates the use of the Networking Email Strategy (NES) as a pedagogical tool to enhance writing skills among first‑semester Department of Public Administration students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar) in the 2024/2025 academic year in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. The objective is to examine the strategy's impact on five core writing components: content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics. A pre‑experimental, one‑group pretest–posttest design (N = 32) was applied involving pre-tests and post-tests over three instructional treatments using email writing tasks. Students engaged in real-time communication, received feedback, and revised their drafts through structured email exchanges. Results demonstrated a significant improvement in students' writing performance, with notable gains in vocabulary and organization. The post-test scores revealed that email-based writing fostered greater engagement, critical thinking, and grammatical accuracy. Students transitioned from informal, disorganized writing to more coherent, structured compositions. Findings align with literature suggesting that authentic writing contexts promote metacognitive development and linguistic competence. Additionally, the intervention supported digital literacy, empowering students to utilize technology responsibly for academic communication. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the integration of digital tools in language instruction, particularly in resource-limited educational settings. It suggests that email communication is a cost-effective, scalable strategy for improving both writing proficiency and digital skills. The implications are vital for educators seeking innovative methods to enhance student engagement and performance in EFL writing.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia di dalam organisasi memegang peranan yang sangat strategis dan menentukan. Disamping peranannya sebagai pengelola, sumber daya manusia juga berperan sebagai penentu keberhasilan organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan. Balai Besar Pendidikan Penyegaran Dan Peningkatan Ilmu Pelayaran (BP3IP) Jakarta. Hasil pengamatan dan data sekunder menunjukan bahwa kinerja di instansi ini belum optimal, begitu pula motivasi, kompetensi dan kompensasi belum memuaskan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh Pengaruh Motivasi, Kompetensi dan Kompensasi terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di BP3IP Jakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai yang bekerja di BP3IP yang berjumlah 265 orang dan sampel penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 159 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi, kompetensi dan kompensasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai baik secara simultan dan parsial. Nilai Koefisien Determinasi (KD) motivasi sebesar 59,4%. Variable kompetensi sebesar 80,3%. Variabel kompensasi sebesar 29%. Variable-variabel independent tersebut secara baik secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

This activity aims to strengthen the management of Regional Public Service Agencies (BLUD) in the education sector through a series of workshops, training and collaboration with various stakeholders. We identify crucial issues affecting education BLUDs and develop improvement strategies that focus on financial transparency, resource management and organizational independence. Activities involve local government, education BLUD staff, local communities, and advocacy groups. Results include significant improvements in education BLUD financial transparency, increased staff capacity in resource management, and successful piloting of improvement strategies. Improved collaboration between stakeholders is also an important achievement. This activity forms a strong foundation for more efficient and transparent management of education BLUDs. Improvements in the quality of public services in the education sector have become real, while the community feels better benefits. By focusing on developing educational BLUD, this activity strengthens the foundation of education in Aceh Jaya and provides better opportunities for the future of quality education

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) is very important to prepare an educated generation for the nation and state, and the role of early childhood educators (PAUD) is very important in the development of students. Educators need to go beyond traditional learning by providing learning innovations that utilize information technology, including the ability to master the latest information technology. The focus of the Community Service Program (PKM) is to improve   the quality of human resources (HR) of PAUD organizers in Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh Province in the field of information technology, so that they are able to support the management of learning and educational activities. In improving the quality of kindergarten teaching staff in the field of information technology is related to supervision management and making daily learning implementation plans (RPPH). With a system that allows teachers to quickly resolve administrative problems, it is hoped that they can use their time to further develop their knowledge and skills regarding PAUD administrative problems.

Abstract

Improving Language and Literature Research Materials for Indonesian Language Lecturers at FKIP Almuslim University is a collaborative effort carried out by lecturers at the Language and Literature Study Program, FKIP Unsyiah, with their colleagues at FKIP Almuslim. The aim of this community service is to enrich understanding and research skills in the field of Indonesian language and literature among lecturers. Through a series of activities, including workshops, training and interactive discussions, Unsyiah lecturers share experiences, methods and resources to increase the research capacity of Indonesian language lecturers at FKIP Almuslim. It is hoped that this collaboration will make a positive contribution in improving the quality of research and teaching of Indonesian language and literature in the academic environment of FKIP Almuslim University.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between students’ mastery of past tense and their ability to write about past experiences. A total of 40 eleventh-grade students participated in the research. Data were collected through two written assessments: a grammar test focusing on past tense usage and a writing task that required students to retell a story using appropriate tenses. The grammar test included multiple-choice questions and sentence transformation items, while the writing task offered four topics from which students chose one. The results of the grammar test revealed a mean score of 4.3, which falls into the “Poor” category. This indicates that students generally struggle with understanding and applying past tense forms correctly. On the other hand, the writing assessment showed a mean score of 6.9, classified as “Fairly Good.” This suggests that, despite limited grammar mastery, students were moderately successful in expressing ideas about past events in written form. To determine the strength of the correlation between the two variables, the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient was applied. The analysis resulted in an r-value of 0.497, indicating a moderate positive correlation between past tense mastery and writing performance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating targeted grammar instruction with writing practice to enhance students’ overall writing proficiency, particularly in expressing past experiences.

Abstract

This study explored the effectiveness of the Thinking, Talking, Writing, and Evaluation (TTWE) Strategy in enhancing reading comprehension among second-grade students at SMPN 1 Mare. A total of 20 students participated in the research. The data were collected through pre-experimental research with Pre-test and Post-test assessments. The Pre-test measured students’ initial reading comprehension abilities, while the Post-test evaluated their progress after the intervention. Results showed that the average Pre-test score was 56.05, indicating limited comprehension skills. Many students struggled with identifying main ideas, vocabulary, and implicit meanings within texts. After applying the TTWE Strategy, the Post-test average increased significantly to 80.1. The improvement was evident in both score range and classification, with several students achieving higher performance levels. The TTWE Strategy encouraged active learning through small group discussions, collaborative responses, and peer evaluations, which promoted deeper understanding and critical thinking. The engaging and interactive nature of the activities contributed to students' enthusiasm and participation during lessons. Statistical analysis using a t-test confirmed a significant difference between Pre-test and Post-test results, with the t-test value surpassing the critical value at the 0.05 significance level. These findings suggest that the TTWE Strategy is an effective approach to improving reading comprehension among junior high school students.

Abstract

The Qur'an and Sunnah as the basis of Islamic law include the concepts of qath'i (definite, not takwil) and zhanni (uncertain, can be takwil). Qath'i is limited, while zhanni allows ijtihad and interpretation. This research uses a philosophical-analytical approach with a descriptive-analytical analysis method, which focuses on literature in the form of verses of the Qur'an, Hadith, and the views of classical and contemporary scholars. Data were collected from various books of tafsir and ushul fiqh, then analyzed contextually and normatively to discuss the concept of Qath'i - Zhanni and produce relevant conclusions. The results of this study show that the importance of contextual understanding of the concepts of qath'i and zhanni in the interpretation of Islamic law is in accordance with the development of the times. The concept of qath'i establishes the basic principles of Islamic teachings that are fixed, while zhanni provides room for interpretation that can be adapted to evolving social and political conditions. The transformation approach from the more rigid classical period to the more flexible modern approach reflects the need to maintain the relevance of Islamic teachings to universal principles, such as human rights and social justice.
