Abstract

Bougainvillea adalah salah satu tanaman hias yang sangat digemari oleh masyarakat luas serta banyak kultivarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakter morfologi Bougainvillea dan kultivarnya, di Desa seneren, kecamatan pantan cuaca Kabupaten Gayo Lues, Aceh. Pengumpulan data lapangan dilakukan dengan mengamati tanaman Bougainvillea dan kultivarnya yang dijadikan tanaman hias dipekarangan rumah penduduk. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 4 kultivar bunga kertas (Bougainvillea). Masing-masing kultivar memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda. Manfaat dari bunga kertas adalah sebagai tanaman hias, aroma terapi, sebagai obat tradisional seperti meredakan batuk, sakit tenggorokan, menurunkan demam, menjaga keseimbangan kolesterol dan tekanan darah.Kata Kunci: Seneren, Kultivar, Bougainvillea, Manfaat, MorfologiBougainvillea is one of the ornamental plants that is very popular with the wider community and has many cultivars. This study aims to identify the morphological characters of Bougainvillea and its cultivars, in Seneren Village, Pantan Weather District, Gayo Lues District, Aceh. Field data collection was carried out by observing the Bougainvillea plant and its cultivars which are used as ornamental plants in people's yards. The research results obtained 4 paper flower cultivars (Bougainvillea). Each cultivar has different characteristics. The benefits of paper flowers are as ornamental plants, aromatherapy, as traditional medicines such as relieving coughs, sore throats, reducing fever, maintaining cholesterol and blood pressure balance.Keyword: Seneren, Cultivar, Bougainvillea, Benefit, Morphology

Abstract

Dengke naniura is a traditional fermented food made from carp which is often consumed in the traditional ceremonies of the Batak people. This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) the best concentration of andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) on microbes in dengke naniura. The method used in this research is an experimental method. The experimental design that will be used is a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 4 variations of andaliman concentrations of 0 g (A0), 25 g (A1), 27.5 g (A2), 30 ( A3). Dengke naniura’s microbial testing was carried out at the Samudra University Laboratory. The best concentration after addition andaliman to the microbial colonies that appeared after incubation was at the  A3  (30 g) concentration. The number of microbes that can be counted on the addition 30 g andaliman is 3.66 x 104 colonies/g had met the standardization of SNI for food maximum 5.0 x 105 colonies/g.

Abstract

Nepenthes is a well-known plant in Indonesia. Given the high rate of forest destruction caused by land conversion, which threatens the Nepenthes habitat in this region, the threat to the Nepenthes population in Padang Bolak District, North Sumatra Province is estimated to be very high. The study aims to identify Nepenthes species and the number of species in North Sumatra Province's Padang Bolak District. The exploratory method was used to conduct this study from January to March 2023. The study revealed two species of the Nepenthes Nepenthes gracillis Korth and Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. The diversity index of Nepenthes in Padang Bolak District is 0.521, indicating that species diversity is low.Keywords: Kantong semar, Nepenthes, Padang Bolak, Species Diversity, Sumatra.AbstrakNepenthes merupakan tanaman yang terkenal di Indonesia. Mengingat tingginya laju kerusakan hutan akibat alih fungsi lahan yang mengancam habitat Nepenthes di wilayah ini, maka ancaman terhadap populasi Nepenthes di Kabupaten Padang Bolak, Provinsi Sumatera Utara diperkirakan sangat tinggi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis Nepenthes dan jumlah jenisnya di Kabupaten Padang Bolak Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode eksplorasi digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian ini pada bulan Januari hingga Maret 2023. Penelitian tersebut mengungkap dua spesies Nepenthes, Nepenthes gracillis Korth, dan Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. Indeks keanekaragaman Nepenthes di Kecamatan Padang Bolak sebesar 0,521 menunjukkan keanekaragaman jenis tergolong rendah.Kata kunci: Kantong Semar, Nepenthes, Padang Bolak, Keanekaragaman Jenis, Sumatera.

Abstract

The aim of the research is that the people of Makmur Village use herbal plants to make more natural medicines. The dedication method used is by conducting case studies and participatory. The stages of the activity began with socializing in advance to the Makmur Village community regarding the types of herbaceous plants that could be used as toga cultivation and a demonstration of medicinal plant processing followed by the stage of making a living pharmacy. The plants cultivated in the production of live apothecary in Makmur Village are Jahe (Zingiber officinale), Lengkuas (Alpinia Pyramidata), Kencur (Kaemferia galangal), Serai (Andropogon natrus), temulawak (Curcuma Xanthorrhiza), and sirih (Piper betle). The community also knows the tools and materials used, as well as the steps in cultivating or planting living medicinal plants in their yards. So that people are more enthusiastic and interested in cultivating medicinal plants in their yards. The program to create a living pharmacy is very beneficial for the people of Indonesia, especially for Makmur Village. 6 types of herbaceous plants that have been planted are the initial capital for the development of a living pharmacy in Makmur Village. Cultivating family medicinal plants (living pharmacy) means the same as preserving the wisdom that is owned by Indonesia. The Makmur Village community will certainly have more knowledge about the use of herbal plants which will certainly encourage people to live healthily and make more use of natural medicines.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is characterized by increased blood glucose levels and insulin secretion failure. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that at least 171 million people suffer from diabetes, and the number will more than double by 2030. The eyelids are one of the most common consequences of DM. This community's commitment focuses on helping diabetics maintain their health and prevent complications through local wisdom-based nutraceuticals. Community dedication activities are carried out using community empowerment techniques, which consist of three stages: socialization, implementation, and monitoring of evaluations to the community of Langsa. According to the findings of this exercise, 80% of the population, understands what nutraceutical items are especially Ie Bu Peudah. It is hoped that this activity can continue to be carried out by the Posyandu in Meurandeh Village.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk pakan ikan alami melalui teknologi screw press dengan memanfaatkan bahan baku yang tersedia disekitar berupa dedak padi dan keong mas. Pendekatan edukatif dilakukan terhadap petani ikan nila di Desa Paya Udang dengan serangkaian tahapan kegiatan seperti koordinasi, sosialisasi, perakitan alat, uji coba penggunaan alat, penyuluhan, pendampingan dan monitoring. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah secara langsung dan dilanjutkan dengan melakukan pelatihan pembuatan pakan ikan menggunakan mesin. Adanya produk pakan ikan air tawar berbahan alami yang berkualitas tinggi dan bernutrisi tinggi ini dapat memenuhi kebutuhan budidaya ikan nila di Desa Paya Udang serta mendukung kegiatan konservasi. Penyuluhan turut memperkenalkan secara luas pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang ada di sekitar, sehingga mengurangi biaya pembelian pakan dan timbulnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga kelestarian sumber daya alam dan keanekaragamannya. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta telah mengetahui dan dapat membuat pakan ikan sendiri dengan mesin screw press. Kegiatan ini mendukung masyarakat untuk mandiri dalam melakukan budidaya ikan air tawar di Desa Paya Udang terutama dalam pemenuhan pakan ikan.

Abstract

Etnobotani pemanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai obat tradisional sudah dikenal sejak lama oleh masyarakat khususnya masyarakat Blang Pase Kota Langsa dan diwariskan secara turun-temurun, namun semakin berkembangnya zaman diera modern tradisi ini mulai menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Desa Blang Paseh Kecamatan Langsa Kota, cara pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat, dan bagian tumbuhan mana saja yang dimanfaatkan untuk obat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 15 November hingga 30 Desember 2021 di 5 Dusun, Penelitian Ini dilakukan secara deskriptif eksploratif dengan teknik survei, wawancara semi terstruktur dan Kuisioner. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Use value (UV), dimana setiap jenis tumbuhan obat dihitung berdasarkan rumus Phillips dan Gentry. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui terdapat 14 spesies yang dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional. Bagian tumbuhan yang dominan digunakan sebagai obat yaitu daun 42% dan jenis tumbuhan obat yang telah dibudidayakan sebesar 85.7%. Tumbuhan yang memiliki nilai UV tertinggi dan responden terbanyak adalah Zingiber officinale Roscoe dengan nilai UV 0.7.

Abstract

Dalam kesehariannya masyarakat Desa Paya Bujok Seulemak Kecamatan Langsa Baro Kota Langsa, tidak terlepas dari makanan cepat saji yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit degeneratif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan munculnya tempat-tempat makanan junk food hampir diseluruh sudut kota Langsa. Kesadaran akan pentingnya mengonsumsi makanan yang kaya probiotik, tinggi antioksidan tentunya akan efektif untuk mencegah penyakit degeneratif. Sehingga upaya pada program peningkatan imunitas melawan penyakit degeneratif perlu dilakukan seperti edukasi serta memberikan pelatihan pembuatan diversifikasi pangan fungsional sebagai pencegah meningkatnya penyakit degeneratif. Minuman teh kombucha hasil fermentasi SCOBY (Simbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat ditawarkan pada kelompok ibu-ibu PKK sebagai penggerak utama untuk mencegah meningkatnya penyakit degeneratif tingkat desa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Desa Paya Bujok Seulemak terkait dengan keterampilan dalam pembuatan minuman teh kombucha sehingga dapat menciptakan masyarakat desa yang mandiri dan bebas penyakit degeneratif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pendekatan langsung, ceramah, dan praktik yang fokus pada pelatihan dan pendampingan mengolah teh kombucha F1(fermentasi pertama) dan F2 (fermentasi kedua). Hasil yang dicapai yaitu meningkatnya minat belajar sebesar 88,13%, pengetahuan sebesar 95,65%, dan keterampilan sebesar 97,74% dalam membuat dan memasarkan produk minuman kombucha. In their daily lives, the people of Paya Bujok Seulemak Village, Langsa Baro District, Langsa City, cannot be separated from fast food which can cause degenerative diseases. This can be seen by the emergence of junk food places in almost all corners of Langsa city. Awareness of the importance of consuming foods rich in probiotics, high in antioxidants will certainly be effective in preventing degenerative diseases. So efforts to increase immunity programs against degenerative diseases need to be carried out, such as education and providing training in making functional food diversification to prevent the increase in degenerative diseases. The kombucha tea drink produced from SCOBY (Symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) fermentation is one solution that can be offered to the PKK women's group as the main driver to prevent the increase in degenerative diseases at the village level. This service activity aims to solve the problems faced by the people of Paya Bujok Seulemak Village related to skills in making kombucha tea drinks so that they can create a village community that is independent and free of degenerative diseases. The method used is a direct approach, lectures and practices that focus on training and assistance in processing F1 (first fermentation) and F2 (second fermentation) kombucha tea. The results achieved were an increase in participants' interest in learning by 88.13%, knowledge by 95.65% and skills by 97.74% in making and marketing kombucha drink products.

Abstract

Ie bu peudah is a traditional Acehnese dish made with 44 different leaf and spice species. This spicy porridge is typically consumed during Ramadan since it is thought to improve the body's endurance after fasting all day. The raw components used to make these nutraceutical products are known to offer anti-diabetic properties. This community service project intends to provide knowledge and training on how to make nutraceutical goods, which can help diabetics maintain their health and prevent future issues. This community service project is carried out in Meurandeh Village, Langsa City, using a community empowerment strategy that consists of three stages: counseling, practice, and evaluation monitoring. According to the findings of this exercise, 80% of the general population.

Abstract

In this humanitarian project, Community Service (PKM) is the entrepreneur of Ie Bu Peudah, one of Aceh's typical foods. This product is known as one of the popular foods during Ramadan. The ingredients in this product come from wild plants and spices rich in public health benefits. The problem partners face is market demand for this product in the form of Ie Bu Peudah flour. This is due to the lack of public knowledge regarding technology in the packaging of Ie Bu Peudah flour products. Therefore, this activity aims to provide training related to product packaging. This community service activity is carried out through the community empowerment method which consists of three stages: socialization, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of business actors. The results of this activity show that 90% of the public can understand the packaging of Ie Bu Peudah flour products.
