Abstract

This research aims to investigate the role of teachers in improving the quality of education and developing the competencies of elementary school students (prathom) at Suksa Muslim School, Thailand. Good quality education and developing student competencies are key elements in creating an educated and developed society. This research was carried out from January to February 2023 at Muslim Suksa School, Thailand. This research uses qualitative methods by collecting data through observation, interviews and document analysis. Teachers at these schools are the subjects of research to understand the practices and strategies they apply to improve student quality and competency. The results of this research reveal that the teacher's role is very important in creating a conducive learning environment, motivating students, and facilitating effective learning. Teachers at Muslim Suka School, Thailand apply a variety of creative and diverse learning strategies, integrate values into lessons, and focus on students' comprehensive development. The findings of this research provide insight into best practices in primary education in schools based in Thailand. The implication of this research is that the role of teachers in developing student competencies is very important and can contribute to better quality education.

Abstract

Teachers hold a central and strategic role as the main agents of educational transformation and as practitioners responsible for improving the quality of learning through reflective inquiry. Classroom Action Research (CAR) serves as a scientific and systematic framework that enables teachers to identify classroom problems, implement evidence-based interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness. However, empirical evidence in Indonesia shows that many elementary school teachers still experience significant challenges in conducting CAR due to limited understanding of research methodologies, inadequate technical guidance, and low confidence in academic writing. This study aims to comprehensively map the competence of elementary school teachers in implementing CAR by examining four critical dimensions: conceptual understanding, action planning, implementation and data collection, and research reporting. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, the study involved 20 elementary school teachers in Citerep, Bogor Regency, as participants. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistical techniques. The findings revealed that teachers’ competence remains low across all assessed aspects, with only 12% demonstrating sound conceptual knowledge, 15% capable of effective planning and implementation, and merely 5% able to prepare structured research reports that align with academic conventions. These results reflect the absence of a sustained mentoring culture and the lack of systematic institutional support for teacher-led research practices. The study underscores the need for continuous professional development programs, collaborative mentoring with higher education institutions, and school-based research communities that empower teachers as reflective practitioners. Strengthening teachers’ CAR competence is crucial not only for enhancing their pedagogical professionalism but also for fostering a sustainable culture of research-based teaching and learning in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konseptual siswa kelas IV mengenai perubahan wujud benda melalui penerapan percobaan sederhana dalam pembelajaran IPAS. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu memahami konsep meleleh, menguap, dan menyublim secara lebih jelas setelah mengikuti percobaan. Observasi memperlihatkan tingginya partisipasi, ketelitian mengamati, serta kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan perubahan wujud dengan pengaruh panas. Wawancara mengungkapkan adanya miskonsepsi awal seperti anggapan bahwa semua benda padat dapat meleleh atau kapur barus meleleh sebelum menghilang. Namun setelah percobaan, terjadi conceptual change yang signifikan karena siswa memperoleh pengalaman konkret yang memperkuat pemahaman mereka.

Abstract

Pembelajaran inklusif di SDN Cijedil menghadapi tantangan ketika guru harus menangani seorang peserta didik tunawicara tanpa dukungan fasilitas dan perencanaan khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tantangan guru serta strategi yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran inklusif. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap satu guru kelas I dan satu peserta didik tunawicara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menyesuaikan pembelajaran melalui komunikasi nonverbal, penggunaan gambar, serta pendekatan individual, namun belum memiliki RPP khusus dan masih mengandalkan improvisasi. Kendala terbesar meliputi keterbatasan media, kurangnya pelatihan guru, serta perilaku tantrum peserta didik yang memerlukan keterlibatan orang tua. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun guru telah berupaya menerapkan pembelajaran inklusif, implementasinya masih perlu dukungan sarana, pelatihan, dan program pembelajaran yang lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dalam kelas inklusif memerlukan perhatian dan fokus mendalam bagi guru kelas maupun guru pendamping kelas. Proses interaksi sebagai keterampilan sosial dalam pembelajaran di kelas inklusif menjadi hal yang penting sebagai kegiatan utama dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang telah dilaksanakan di SDN Cibalung 02 terdapat beberapa permasalahan terkait keterampilan sosial dalam pembelajaran sosial di kelas inklusi pada saat implementasi Strategi Pembelajaran Berbasis Alamiah Otak (SiPAO), antara lain: (1) Siswa non-reguler memiliki keterampilan sosial yang rendah ditunjukkan pada saat diskusi tidak berjalan secara komunikatif (2) Hanya sebagian siswa saja yang aktif dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran sosial di kelas (3) Kurangnya metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru secara menyeluruh dan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi guru inklusi terhadap strategi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan sistem pembelajaran sosial. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara kepada 7 orang responden penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik dan menghasilkan 3 tema yaitu hambatan-hambatan, faktor-faktor pendukung, dan upaya guru dalam memaksimalkan sistem pembelajaran sosial pada implementasi strategi Sistem Pembelajaran Berbasis Alamiah Otak (SiPAO) di kelas inklusif. Guru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pedagogiknya sehingga dapat memberikan dukungan dan mengembangkan potensi serta keterampilan yang dimiliki peserta didik

Abstract

Manajemen waktu pembelajaran merupakan kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki guru dalam menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermakna, khususnya di sekolah yang menerapkan kurikulum terpadu antara Pendidikan agama dan akademik. Pengelolaan waktu yang kurang optimal dapat berdampak pada terbatasnya interaksi pedagogis antara guru dan siswa. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen waktu pembelajaran serta implikasinya terhadap interaksi guru dan siswa di Thamavitya Mulniti School Yala, Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian meliputi guru, siswa dan kepala sekolah. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan waktu pembelajaran telah disusun secara sistematis, namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi kendala akibat padatnya materi dan keterbatasan durasi pembelajaran. Interaksi guru dan siswa tetap terjalin, tetapi belum sepenuhnya optimal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa manajemen waktu pembelajaran berimplikasi langsung terhadap kualitas interaksi pedagogis di kelas.

Abstract

Perubahan gaya belajar di era digital memunculkan tantangan berupa rendahnya retensi dan keberhasilan belajar siswa akibat paparan konten instan. Microlearning berbasis video pembelajaran pendek dipandang sebagai pendekatan adaptif, namun efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan belajar masih memerlukan analisis kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas microlearning video pendek dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan belajar melalui literature review terhadap 11 artikel ilmiah bereputasi nasional dan internasional terbitan 2020–2026. Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif untuk mensintesis temuan utama. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa microlearning efektif meningkatkan pemahaman, retensi, motivasi, dan keterlibatan belajar melalui penyajian materi yang ringkas dan terstruktur. Namun, efektivitas tersebut sangat bergantung pada kualitas desain konten dan kesesuaian dengan kompleksitas materi, sehingga perancangan instruksional yang matang menjadi prasyarat utama.

Abstract

This research was conducted to answer the need for teaching materials in natural science education lectures in elementary schools due to the importance of teaching materials that can answer the challenges of technological advances. Where at this time technology is needed to support learning in the classroom so that it is more interactive, interesting, fun and can be done anywhere and anytime. Based on the needs analysis, lecturers have not fully used electronic-based media in lectures, and have not been fully able to produce good and correct electronic-based media or teaching materials. In addition, there is still a lack of teaching materials that can improve students' scientific reasoning abilities. This study aims to develop electronic modules (E-Modules) based on scientific reasoning in natural science education lectures in elementary schools in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. The research design used is research and development with the stages of the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The findings of this research are products in the form of Scientific Reasoning E-Modules for natural science education lectures in elementary schools in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. Based on the results of the validation test by the team of experts, the module was declared fit for use and met the criteria as an online teaching module. Based on the test results of the implementation of the use of the module, the module was declared feasible for use and able to facilitate the improvement of students' scientific reasoning abilities based on the results of the pretest and posttest, the t test results showed that t-count was greater than t-table which was (8.30 > 1.691). Therefore it can be concluded that the developed e-module is very useful and can meet the criteria for the need for natural science education lectures in elementary schools.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran kontekstual merupakan pendekatan yang menekankan keterkaitan antara materi pelajaran dan pengalaman nyata peserta didik, sehingga pengetahuan yang diperoleh menjadi lebih berarti. Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk meneliti penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik kelas IV SDN Sukatani terhadap materi perubahan bentuk energi. Penelitian ini,  menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, serta pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilaksanakan melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep perubahan bentuk energi secara menyeluruh. Peserta didik mampu mengaitkan konsep energi dengan berbagai fenomena yang ditemui dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Temuan dari observasi dan wawancara mengindikasikan bahwa menghubungkan pembelajaran dengan konteks lingkungan sekitar membantu peserta didik memahami proses perubahan bentuk energi secara lebih jelas. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kontekstual terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi perubahan bentuk energi dalam pembelajaran IPAS di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Inclusive education in primary schools requires accessible, adaptable science learning materials that support students with disabilities' creative thinking. However, the integration of STEM, gamification, and accessibility principles in science learning games for inclusive classrooms remains limited. This study offers a novel approach by developing an accessible STEM-based science learning game to enhance the creativity of students with disabilities in inclusive primary schools. The study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate an accessible STEM-based science learning game integrated with gamification elements. Using a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach, the study involved three phases: needs analysis, prototype development and expert validation, and classroom implementation with refinement. Participants were 24 fourth-grade students, including 6 with disabilities, from an inclusive primary school in Bogor, Indonesia. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, creativity pre- and posttests, questionnaires, observations, and teacher reflections. The developed game, Eco-Rescue STEM Adventure, included STEM problem-solving tasks, gamification features, audio instructions, adaptive difficulty levels, and simplified navigation. Expert validation showed high feasibility (M = 3.71/4.00). Results indicated significant improvement in creative thinking, with a high average gain score (1.41), while student responses highlighted strong engagement and support for creative learning in inclusive science education.
