Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop a digital-based village website for Surabaya Village as an information medium and a platform to promote local potential. The main problem faced by the village is the limited access to information and the absence of an accessible public information system. The program was implemented in three stages: planning (data collection and identification of information needs), implementation (website development with thematic content such as village profile, governance structure, public services, and local potential), and evaluation (functional testing and technical training for village officials). The results indicate that the developed website improves information access, enhances transparency in public services, and promotes village potential to a wider audience. It also serves as a two-way communication tool between the village administration and the community. The evaluation found that village officials still require further assistance in managing the website content independently. Overall, this program demonstrates that village information digitalization can be effectively applied with local human resources and ongoing support

Abstract

Meteorology is a science that studies the movement of wind, clouds and water vapor with a main focus on weather prediction. Air pressure is one of the important meteorological parameters that can provide an initial indication of weather changes. Air pressure is used as a reference for taking off and landing aircraft at the airport. The variables needed to predict air pressure include air pressure, wind direction, temperature, wind speed and air humidity. The aim of this research is to predict air pressure at the Cengkareng Meteorological Station using the Decision Tree Algorithm and RapidMiner software. The data in this research comes from BMKGSoft for the period 2019 – 2023. BMKGSoft is used to track data sent from the station to the database server. The research results show that the prediction of air pressure at the Cengkareng Meteorological Station using the decision tree algorithm is very good with RMSE values: 0.208 +/- 0.000, MAE: 0.046 +/- 0.203, squared error: 0.043 +/- 2.967 and squared correlation: 0.987.

Abstract

Tomato paste quality hinges on processing methods, with hot break (95°C) and cold break (65°C) treatments critically impacting rheology and shelf life. Prior studies lack comprehensive analysis of prolonged heating durations and storage effects on viscosity stability. This study examines how hot/cold break treatments influence tomato paste rheology, enzyme activity (PME, PG), and storage stability to identify optimal processing parameters. Tomatoes were heated at 65°C (cold break) or 95°C (hot break) for 5–15 minutes, processed into paste, and stored for 5 weeks. Rheological properties (flow index *n*, consistency coefficient *k*) were measured weekly using a viscometer (30–60°C), while PME/PG activities were assayed titrimetrically and via DNS. Hot break at 45°C with 10-minute heating yielded the highest viscosity stability (*n* = 0.3685, *k* = 1.478) and extended shelf life by reducing microbes. PG enzymes were more heat-resistant than PME, with cold break showing higher residual activity (27.72% PME, 35% PG after 5 weeks). Storage revealed pseudoplastic degradation, with 60°C treatments exhibiting drastic *k*-value declines (~50%). The 10-minute hot break at 45°C is recommended for industrial tomato paste production to balance viscosity and shelf life. Future research should explore hybrid thermal treatments to enhance nutritional retention, building on findings by Wang et al. (2023).

Abstract

This study aims to improve community skills in processing concrete waste into products with economic value, especially paving blocks, through training activities. Concrete waste which is generally considered useless and polluting the environment, is reprocessed into useful construction materials. The implementation method includes initial observation, training planning, activity implementation, and evaluation of results. Training activities are carried out with a participatory approach, involving the community directly in the process of mixing materials, molding, and drying paving blocks. The results of the study showed that this training succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of participants in producing paving blocks from concrete waste. In addition, participants began to see the potential for micro-businesses that could be developed from the results of this training. Economically, this activity opens up new opportunities to increase community income, especially in areas with high unemployment rates and limited access to formal employment. In conclusion, training in making paving blocks from concrete waste has proven effective as an innovative solution in waste management as well as a strategy for empowering the community's economy. It is hoped that this activity can be replicated in other areas as a sustainable effort to create a clean environment and an independent economy.

Abstract

Ibnu Khaldun dikenal sebagai tokoh pemikir Muslim yang memiliki kontribusi besar dalam bidang sejarah dan filsafat pendidikan. Pemikirannya tidak hanya mencerminkan kedalaman intelektual, tetapi juga memberikan perspektif baru dalam memahami dinamika sosial dan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun tentang konsep sejarah dan filsafat pendidikan, serta menelaah relevansi pemikirannya terhadap perkembangan ilmu sosial dan pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sejarah dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research), yaitu mengkaji secara kualitatif sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder yang berkaitan dengan karya-karya Ibnu Khaldun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ibnu Khaldun mengembangkan teori siklus sejarah yang menggambarkan pola kebangkitan dan kejatuhan dinasti berdasarkan solidaritas sosial (ashabiyah) dan nilai-nilai agama. Dalam filsafat pendidikan, ia menekankan bahwa pendidikan adalah proses sosial yang alami dan bertujuan membentuk akhlak, keterampilan, serta kematangan intelektual. Pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun tetap relevan dalam menjawab tantangan dunia pendidikan dan sosial saat ini, karena mampu mengintegrasikan dimensi spiritual dan material secara seimbang.

Abstract

In Indonesia, tight labor competition and high unemployment rates among graduates are reasons for the need for effective and thorough career preparation. This research uses bibliometric analysis to provide graphic information about the statistical overview of literature from 380 articles published in reputable international journals that correlate with career counseling from 2009 to 2023. An in-depth study was carried out on 371 articles to reveal this research. Types of documents from the Scopus database for career counseling for students are articles, books, reference books, and conference papers. Visualization with R software bibliometrics with three visuals: annual scientific production, most cited articles, country scientific production, and word cloud and co-occurrence network. The analysis findings show that career counseling is the dominant topic. Research topics for 2009-2023 are humans, women, men, and adults. Less researched topics are decision-making, counseling, students, and young adults. This study can provide a global roadmap for researchers regarding career counseling.

Abstract

Erratic rainfall due to climate change has significant impacts on the environment, agriculture and economy. To mitigate these impacts, a reliable rainfall prediction model is needed. Erratic rainfall due to climate change affects various sectors of life, so a reliable prediction model is needed to support data-based decision making. This study aims to compare the performance of Random Forest, k-Nearest Neighbors (kNN), Decision Tree, and Neural Network algorithms in predicting rainfall using observation data from the Citeko Meteorological Station. The data used include weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The analysis was carried out using Orange software to evaluate the accuracy, precision, and computation time of each model. The results showed that Random Forest had the highest accuracy, while Neural Network showed consistent performance on more complex datasets. The kNN algorithm gave good results with the optimal number of neighbors, but was less efficient on large datasets. Decision Tree was easier to interpret but was prone to overfitting. This study provides insight into the most appropriate algorithm for rainfall prediction based on the characteristics of the data available.

Abstract

Road infrastructure plays a vital role in supporting economic growth and facilitating community mobility. Matang Seping Village in Aceh Tamiang Regency suffers from severely damaged roads, hindering the distribution of agricultural and fishery products. To address this issue, a road paving project on the Matang Seping–Pelita route was carried out, requiring careful planning and efficient use of heavy equipment. This study aims to analyze the utilization and productivity of heavy equipment used in the road paving project. The analysis focuses on identifying the types of heavy equipment employed, calculating productivity based on the 2023 guidelines from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), and determining the number and operational duration of each equipment unit. The equipment used for the prime coat work includes a compressor and asphalt sprayer, while the base course layer (Asphalt Concrete-Base Course) uses a dump truck, asphalt finisher, tandem roller, and pneumatic tire roller. The results show varied productivity levels, with the asphalt sprayer reaching 13,695 liters/hour and the asphalt finisher 134.46 tons/hour. All equipment was operated over two days, with quantities adjusted to project needs, including 12 dump trucks to ensure the smooth implementation of fieldwork.

Abstract

Gender equality in inclusive education is a critical issue reflecting social justice and human rights. Although progress has been made in improving access to education, significant challenges persist, particularly in terms of educational quality, gender representation in leadership, and inclusion of marginalized groups such as children with special needs. This study aims to analyze the trends, topics, and research methods used in the study of inclusive education within the context of gender equality. Employing a qualitative approach, this research integrates bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. Data were collected from various academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, and analyzed using VOSviewer software. The analysis focused on identifying the most cited articles, annual scientific productivity by country, keyword visualization (word cloud), and co-occurrence network mapping. Initial findings reveal a limited number of comprehensive studies addressing inclusive education from a gender perspective, with research concentrated in specific regions. Furthermore, author collaboration and policy-oriented studies on inclusive education remain insufficient. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on gender-responsive educational management and offers policy recommendations to support the development of a more equitable and inclusive education system. The results are expected to benefit scholars, education practitioners, and policymakers in fostering inclusive and gender-equal education practices.

Abstract

Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) menawarkan solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengukuran suhu tanah melalui pemasangan sensor suhu yang terhubung ke jaringan internet. Pemantauan suhu tanah yang akurat dan real-time merupakan aspek penting dalam bidang pertanian, perkebunan, dan pengelolaan lingkungan. Pemanfaatan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam sistem monitoring pengukuran suhu tanah memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan memberikan kontribusi pada konservasi lingkungan. Melalui desain sistem pemantauan berbasis IoT, sensor-sensor berkualitas seperti sensor suhu dan kelembapan tanah dapat dipasang untuk mengumpulkan data real-time yang memungkinkan petani untuk membuat keputusan yang lebih tepat. Tujuan pengabdian ini dapat mengembangkan sistem monitoring suhu tanah berbasis IoT yang mampu mengumpulkan data secara otomatis dan terus-menerus, serta menampilkan informasi secara langsung melalui tampilan dilayar LCD. Adopsi IoT dalam pertanian juga menyasar pada pengurangan biaya operasional dan penghindaran pemborosan sumber daya. Hasil Pengabdian pemanfaatan IoT dalam sistem monitoring pengukuran suhu tanah tidak hanya meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, tetapi juga mempromosikan kelestarian sumber daya alam. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem IoT ini mampu meningkatkan akurasi pengukuran, mengurangi biaya operasional, dan memudahkan pengawasan kondisi tanah secara menyeluruh. Pengembangan sistem ini diharapkan dapat mendukung kegiatan pertanian berkelanjutan dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara lebih efektif. Hal ini menjadi langkah penting dalam mengatasi tantangan perubahan iklim dan penurunan kualitas tanah, serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan.
