Abstract

Erratic rainfall due to climate change has significant impacts on the environment, agriculture and economy. To mitigate these impacts, a reliable rainfall prediction model is needed. Erratic rainfall due to climate change affects various sectors of life, so a reliable prediction model is needed to support data-based decision making. This study aims to compare the performance of Random Forest, k-Nearest Neighbors (kNN), Decision Tree, and Neural Network algorithms in predicting rainfall using observation data from the Citeko Meteorological Station. The data used include weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The analysis was carried out using Orange software to evaluate the accuracy, precision, and computation time of each model. The results showed that Random Forest had the highest accuracy, while Neural Network showed consistent performance on more complex datasets. The kNN algorithm gave good results with the optimal number of neighbors, but was less efficient on large datasets. Decision Tree was easier to interpret but was prone to overfitting. This study provides insight into the most appropriate algorithm for rainfall prediction based on the characteristics of the data available.

Abstract

Road infrastructure plays a vital role in supporting economic growth and facilitating community mobility. Matang Seping Village in Aceh Tamiang Regency suffers from severely damaged roads, hindering the distribution of agricultural and fishery products. To address this issue, a road paving project on the Matang Seping–Pelita route was carried out, requiring careful planning and efficient use of heavy equipment. This study aims to analyze the utilization and productivity of heavy equipment used in the road paving project. The analysis focuses on identifying the types of heavy equipment employed, calculating productivity based on the 2023 guidelines from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), and determining the number and operational duration of each equipment unit. The equipment used for the prime coat work includes a compressor and asphalt sprayer, while the base course layer (Asphalt Concrete-Base Course) uses a dump truck, asphalt finisher, tandem roller, and pneumatic tire roller. The results show varied productivity levels, with the asphalt sprayer reaching 13,695 liters/hour and the asphalt finisher 134.46 tons/hour. All equipment was operated over two days, with quantities adjusted to project needs, including 12 dump trucks to ensure the smooth implementation of fieldwork.

Abstract

Gender equality in inclusive education is a critical issue reflecting social justice and human rights. Although progress has been made in improving access to education, significant challenges persist, particularly in terms of educational quality, gender representation in leadership, and inclusion of marginalized groups such as children with special needs. This study aims to analyze the trends, topics, and research methods used in the study of inclusive education within the context of gender equality. Employing a qualitative approach, this research integrates bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. Data were collected from various academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, and analyzed using VOSviewer software. The analysis focused on identifying the most cited articles, annual scientific productivity by country, keyword visualization (word cloud), and co-occurrence network mapping. Initial findings reveal a limited number of comprehensive studies addressing inclusive education from a gender perspective, with research concentrated in specific regions. Furthermore, author collaboration and policy-oriented studies on inclusive education remain insufficient. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on gender-responsive educational management and offers policy recommendations to support the development of a more equitable and inclusive education system. The results are expected to benefit scholars, education practitioners, and policymakers in fostering inclusive and gender-equal education practices.

Abstract

Rice is one of the staple foods consumed by Indonesians. As one of the largest rice producers, problems related to rice storage are often complained about. During storage, rice changes its cooking quality and physical and physicochemical qualities. This study aimed to analyze the kinetic behavior of cooking and the physical and physicochemical qualities of Indonesian rice varieties. Rice with different amylose contents was stored for 4 months, and the collected data from the parameters of water content, whiteness, amylose content, elongation ratio, and extrudability were analyzed using the Arrhenius equation. The combination of amylose content and temperature influences the changes in the physical, chemical, and cooking properties of rice during storage. The highest increase in water content occurred in the Ciherang variety stored at a temperature of 20 °C, namely 0.0183%/week, and the whiteness, amylose content, and elongation ratio values decreased during storage. Storage at 30 °C resulted in a greater reduction in quality, with the change in Ciherang whiteness being 0.0202/week, sintanur amylose content decreasing by 0.0105%/week, and sintanur elongation ratio decreasing by 0.0348/week at this temperature. Meanwhile, the sintanur extrudability parameter experienced an increase of 0,0174g/week at a temperature of 30 ˚C. Therefore, in general, the decline in rice quality occurs more quickly at higher temperatures.

Abstract

Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) menawarkan solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengukuran suhu tanah melalui pemasangan sensor suhu yang terhubung ke jaringan internet. Pemantauan suhu tanah yang akurat dan real-time merupakan aspek penting dalam bidang pertanian, perkebunan, dan pengelolaan lingkungan. Pemanfaatan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam sistem monitoring pengukuran suhu tanah memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan memberikan kontribusi pada konservasi lingkungan. Melalui desain sistem pemantauan berbasis IoT, sensor-sensor berkualitas seperti sensor suhu dan kelembapan tanah dapat dipasang untuk mengumpulkan data real-time yang memungkinkan petani untuk membuat keputusan yang lebih tepat. Tujuan pengabdian ini dapat mengembangkan sistem monitoring suhu tanah berbasis IoT yang mampu mengumpulkan data secara otomatis dan terus-menerus, serta menampilkan informasi secara langsung melalui tampilan dilayar LCD. Adopsi IoT dalam pertanian juga menyasar pada pengurangan biaya operasional dan penghindaran pemborosan sumber daya. Hasil Pengabdian pemanfaatan IoT dalam sistem monitoring pengukuran suhu tanah tidak hanya meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, tetapi juga mempromosikan kelestarian sumber daya alam. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem IoT ini mampu meningkatkan akurasi pengukuran, mengurangi biaya operasional, dan memudahkan pengawasan kondisi tanah secara menyeluruh. Pengembangan sistem ini diharapkan dapat mendukung kegiatan pertanian berkelanjutan dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam secara lebih efektif. Hal ini menjadi langkah penting dalam mengatasi tantangan perubahan iklim dan penurunan kualitas tanah, serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Battle of Siffin was one of the most decisive conflicts in classical Islamic history. The confrontation between Caliph ʿAli ibn Abi Ṭalib and the Governor of Syria, Muʿawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, was not merely a military clash but a historical event that demands an in-depth examination of the socio-political dynamics of the Muslim community at that time. This article aims to understand the roots of the Siffin conflict, to trace the political factors underlying its emergence, and to explore how this event provides new insights into the process that led to divisions within Islamic history. This study employs a historical approach with a qualitative-descriptive analytical method. Through this approach, the paper demonstrates that the Battle of Siffin marked a crucial turning point in the transformation of political conflict into ideological and sectarian divisions within the Muslim community. The research shows how narratives of power and political legitimacy influenced the emergence of enduring social and theological fragmentation that continues to shape Muslim societies up to the contemporary era. Data for this study were obtained from various literatures relevant to the research topic. The analytical procedure involved examining the chronology of the Battle of Siffin, identifying key figures, and assessing its impacts on the course of Islamic history.   Perang Shiffin merupakan salah satu konflik paling menentukan dalam sejarah Islam klasik. Pertempuran antara Khalifah Ali bin Abi Thalib dan Gubernur Syam, Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan, ini bukan sekedar perang militer, tetapi peristiwa historis yang menuntut telaah mendalam terhadap dinamika sosial-politik umat Islam pada masa itu. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami akar-akar munculnya konflik Perang Shiffin, menelusuri faktor-faktor politik yang melatarbelakanginya, serta mengkaji bagaimana peristiwa tersebut dapat memberikan pemahaman baru mengenai proses terbentuknya perpecahan dalam sejarah Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan historis dengan metode analisis kualitatif-deskriptif. Dengan pendekatan tersebut, tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa Perang Shiffin menjadi titik balik penting dalam transformasi konflik politik menjadi perpecahan ideologis dan sektarian dalam tubuh umat Islam. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bagaimana narasi kekuasaan dan legitimasi politik dapat berdampak pada fragmentasi sosial dan teologis yang terus diwarisi hingga era kontemporer. Data didapatkan dari literatur-literatur yang relevan dengan judul penelitian. Prosedur analisis dilakukan dengan menelaah kronologi peristiwa Perang Shiffin, tokoh-tokoh penting serta dampaknya dalam sejarah umat Islam.

Abstract

Alat Pengolah Pupuk Organik (APPO) merupakan teknologi mekanik yang memudahkan dan mempercepat para petani dalam proses pembuatan pupuk organik (kompos) berupa alat pencacah bahan organik (limbah kebun). Pencacahan bahan baku/bahan organik sangat diperlukan untuk memperkecil ukuran partikel material, karena ukuran partikel material kompos yang kecil dapat mempercepat masa fermentasi sehingga kompos lebih cepat matang dan terdekomposisi sempurna. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada petani bagaimana membuat dan menggunakan APPO sehingga petani dapat mengolah limbah kebun kakao menjadi pupuk organik yang bisa dijadikan sebagai pendapatan tambahan bagi mereka. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui metode penyuluhan dan demonstrasi teknologi serta pembimbingan kepada petani. Pengetahuan yang diperoleh petani dari kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mengubah pola pikir mereka dari petani menjadi pengusaha yang bergerak dibidang budidaya pertanian, karena dengan mengolah limbah kebun kakao menjadi pupuk organik berarti dapat menambah pendapat mereka secara langsung yang tentunya akan meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga petani itu sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kekuatan tarik dan lentur pada komposit serat kayu balik angin (mallotus paniculatus) yang diperkuat dengan campuran polyester. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi komposisi mengikut fraksi berat (%wt), yaitu 0% :100%, 10% : 90%, 20% : 80%, dan 30% : 70%. Bahan pengisi yang digunakan adalah serat kulit kayu balik angin. Pengujian uji tarik dilakukan dengan standar ASTM D-3039 dan uji lentur dengan standar ASTM D-790. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh adanya peningkatan kekuatan tarik seiring bertambahnya serat. Kekuatan tarik tertinggi didapati pada komposit dengan komposisi 30% : 70% yaitu 182,222 MPa. Begitu juga pada pengujian lentur diperoleh kekuatan tertinggi pada variasi 30% : 70% sebesar 71,78 MPa.

Abstract

Rice fields are used as an alternative to achieve food self-sufficiency because they have many advantages such as providing lots of water, land close to rivers, and the ability to choose land for farming. So this research is needed to determine the work efficiency and operational costs of the Jajar Legowo RTP 2040 rice transplanter. So that it can maximize the performance of this planting tool when it is later used by farmers. The aim of this research is to determine the work efficiency and operational costs of the Jajar Legowo RTP 2040 rice transplanter on rice fields in Bone Regency. The procedure used begins with the seeding stage, land processing, and the rice transplanter operation stage. The Jajar Legowo RTP 2040 rice transpanter was operated with a test distance of 10 x 10 m and carried out 3 repetitions using a speed of 2 km/hour on the land according to the planting work pattern. The results of this research obtained a KLT value of 0.257 ha/hour, KLE of 0.193 ha/hour, and field efficiency of 75.15%. Meanwhile, the wheel slip value obtained was 15.42. As for the cost analysis, the fixed costs are obtained at Rp.8.842.988,-/year, while the total variable costs are Rp. 5.154.240,-/year. Basic operational costs obtained are IDR. 13.997.228.-/year.

Abstract

Seiring dengan mobilitas penduduk yang cukup signifikan maka perlu adanya analisa tingkat pelayanan yang nantinya akan memenuhi syarat dalam penggunaan jasa angkutan umum.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa kinerja atau tingkat pelayanan angkutan umum penumpang dari segi kenyamanan, keamanan dan ketepatan waktu serta menganalisa penentuan tarif angkutan umum penumpang yang melayani trayek Sorong - Klamono dengan menggunakan metode Ability To Pay (ATP) dan Willingness To Pay (WTP). Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuntitatif yang didalamnya berisikan survey dan kuisioner atau angket sebagai instrumen penelitian serta dokumentasi. Data yang dihasilkan kemudian akan diolah dan dianalisis sesuai tujuan penelitian. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tingkat pelayanan pada angkutan umum trayek Sorong – Klamono berdasarkan indikator penilaian prestasi kerja dari parameter kenyamanan, keamanan dan ketepatan waktu dikatakan masih dalam kondisi baik serta keinginan pengguna untuk membayar jasa angkutan lebih besar daripada kemampuan membayarnya dikarenakan pengguna mempunyai penghasilan yang relatif rendah tetapi utilitas atau manfaat yang dirasakan pengguna terhadap jasa tersebut sangat tinggi
