Abstract

This research aims to develop diorama media with an ecosystem theme that is suitable for use in thematic learning on the theme "Ecosystem" in class V elementary school. This research is development research (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development procedure which consists of 5 stages. The test subjects in this research were media experts, material experts, learning experts and student responses. The object in this research is ecosystem theme diorama media which is suitable for use in the learning process in class V. The instrument used to collect data is a validation questionnaire given to several expert validators, namely media expert validators, material expert validators and learning expert validators. The total score obtained from validation by media experts was 94.6, from validation by material experts, namely 86, from learning experts it was 93 and from student responses a score was obtained of 97. The average score from the experts' assessments was 92.65. From this score it can be said that the ecosystem theme diorama media developed is "Very Suitable" for use in the thematic learning process in class V of Putra Bangsa Berbudi Elementary School, Deli Tua.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in Science and Social Studies, focusing on biodiversity and culture in the surrounding environment for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 060931 Medan. This research is a classroom action study involving 16 students. Data collection techniques include pre-tests and post-tests, with a test instrument designed to measure students' knowledge. Data analysis is conducted both quantitatively and qualitatively. In Cycle 1, the results showed that none of the students met the Minimum Completeness Criteria of 75, with an average score of 49.1. In Cycle 2, there was a significant improvement, with 14 out of 16 students achieving completeness and an overall average score of 83.43. This research concludes that using the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach can effectively enhance the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 060931 Medan in the Natural and Social Sciences subject

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V pada materi luas gabungan bangun datar melalui penerapan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) berbasis Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart, dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 17 siswa kelas V UPT SDN 060937 Medan Johor. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 42,35 pada pra-siklus menjadi 63,97 pada siklus I, dan mencapai 81,325 pada siklus II. Aktivitas siswa dan guru juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori "kurang" dan "cukup" menjadi "cukup" dan "baik". Pendekatan CRT berbasis ICT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep matematika melalui kontekstualisasi budaya lokal, serta meningkatkan hasil belajar secara signifikan. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dan memotivasi mereka dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model ajar PBL dan pemanfaatan teknologi pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Nearpod. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060910 Medan Denai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi siswa dan guru dan lembar soal tes. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan observer, aktivitas belajar siswa dan guru meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I 78% aktivitas guru dan 76% aktivitas siswa. Pada siklus II meningkat 80% aktivitas guru dan 89% aktivitas siswa. Hasil belajar siswa diukur melalui tes yang dilaksanakan. Siklus I mencapai 47% atau 8 siswa yang sudah mencapai KKM dan 53% atau 9 orang siswa yang belum mencapai KKM. Siklus II meningkat menjadi 88% atau 15 orang siswa yang sudah mencapai KKM dan 12% atau 2 orang siswa yang belum mencapai KKM. Peningkatan hasil belajar mencapai 41%. Hal tersebut dapat membuktikan bahwa dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

Abstract The accumulation of organic waste and the excessive use of chemical fertilizers represent significant environmental problems in Indonesia. Eco Enzyme emerges as an innovative solution, offering a sustainable alternative for organic waste management and fertilization. A socialization and training program on Eco Enzyme production was conducted at SD Negeri 105327 Pardamean, Tanjung Morawa District, involving 15 practitioners. The methods employed included material presentations and practical training in Eco Enzyme production from vegetable and fruit waste. The program's evaluation was conducted by comparing pre-test and post-test results. The evaluation results showed an 81.3% increase in participants' understanding and skills after attending the socialization and training. This indicates the effectiveness of the activity in enhancing participants' knowledge and ability to independently produce Eco Enzyme in household settings. It is expected that this activity can positively contribute to improved organic waste management and reduce reliance on synthetic chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop local wisdom-based video doratoon learning media for understanding the concept of fractions of grade IV students and determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media developed. The type of method used in this research is development (Research and Development) using the 4D development procedure model which consists of 4 stages namely Define (definition), Design (plaħning). Development (development), Dissemination (dissemination). This research uses instruments, namely validation sheets in the form of questionnaires or questionnaires given to validators of material experts, media experts, teacher responses, student responses, and tests of understanding of local wisdom-based fraction concepts given to students. The subjects in this study were media expert validators, material experts, teachers, and grade IV students totaling 20 people. Based on the trials conducted, the results of the validity of the learning media development were 97.22% with very valid criteria, and the validity of the learning material was 95% with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality level were 83% student response, and 92% teacher response with very practical criteria. For the level of effectiveness obtained by 89% very effective criteria, and on the n gain score of 74% with high criteria. So it can be concluded that the doratoon video learning media based on local wisdom for understanding the concept of fractions of fourth grade students.

Abstract

The background to this research is the students' lack of understanding of the concept of poetry so that poetry writing tends to be written in the form of stories with paragraphs. These findings show that students' ability to write poetry at school is still low. This research aims to improve the ability of students in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program Semester 4 V at Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University in writing poetry using the acrostic technique. The research was carried out using classroom action procedures (PTK). Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) where the assessment is cyclical consisting of 4 stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The sample in the research here is all 4V semester students totaling 39 people. The research results show that the ability of students in the fourth semester of the Teacher Education Study Program in writing poetry in the pretest obtained a score of 60.10 and a completeness level of 16%. In the first cycle they obtained an average score of 64.72 and a completeness level of 49%. In cycle II the average score was 83.90 and the level of learning completeness was 92%. From the results of this analysis, it was concluded that the ability to write poetry using the acrostic technique of students in the fourth semester of the FKIP Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program increased. Based on the criteria for classical learning completeness, this learning has achieved the target of classical learning completeness. In other words, this acrostic technique helps students convey ideas, thoughts and feelings through imagination in the form of poetry.

Abstract

This research aims to improve children's story plot writing skills using the rule of three in FKIP PGSD students at Al Washliyah This research aims to improve children's story plot writing skills using the rule of three in FKIP PGSD students at Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University, Medan. Remembering that children's stories are an important part of the process of learning Indonesian language and literature in elementary school. The research method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method with a one group pre-test post-test design type of research. The population and sample in this research were students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) FKIP Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University. The population was 50 people and samples were taken using random sampling technique as many as 30 students. From the research results, it is known that the average score of class 5 A PGSD UMN Al Washliyah students in the initial pre-cycle condition was only 55.84%. After taking action in cycle I, student learning outcomes increased to 61.6%. To get better results, action was taken in cycle II. In this cycle student learning outcomes increased to 80.25%. From this it can be said that applying the rule of three in writing children's story plots can improve children's story plot writing skills for semester 5 A students of FKIP PGSD UMN Al Washliyah, Medan. The output targets in this research are national/international journals or proceedings.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program Pengabdian Masyarakat (PpM) ini untuk memajukan usaha kecil milik ibu Hartiani salah satu masyarakat di jembatan besi, dimulai dari pengenalan keterampilan pembuatan batang jabuk kepada tim Program Pengabdian Masyarakat (PpM). Melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan, tim PpM dalam berkontribusi dalam memajukan usaha kecil milik ibu Hartiani. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di jembatan besi kelurahan Lingkas Ujung  tepatnya di rumah milik ibu Hariani selaku pemilik usaha . kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan mengasah kreativitas terkait pengolahan baatang jabuk yang menggunakan bahan utama yaitu kulit lumpia dan di lakukan pemberian varian rasa. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan kemampuan tim PpM untuk membuat produk batang jabuk yang dilakukan secara langsung pada kegiatan ini. berdasarkan hal ini tersebut, tim PpM telah mengetahui cara pengolahan batang jabuk dan dapat diprakteklan secara mandiri tanpa pendampingan.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk menilai seberapa efektif strategi pembelajaran interaktif dengan ClassPoint dalam meningkatkan pengalaman belajar siswa di Kelas VI SDN 060817 Medan, terutama dalam mata pelajaran IPAS. Dalam dua siklus, tindakan kelas ini diharapkan berlangsung. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, Data dari tes pada siklus I dan II dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode statistik kuantitatif serta deskriptif. Pada siklus I, skor rata-rata adalah 5,9, sementara skor ideal yang dapat dicapai adalah 10,0, dan standar deviasi 1,4, yang menunjukkan hasil belajar yang baik. Namun, hanya 42,9 persen, atau 15 dari 35 siswa, menunjukkan hasil belajar yang baik. Selain itu, banyak sejumlah 10 siswa dengan hasil belajar yang rendah, atau sekitar 28,5%, dan sebanyak 8 siswa, atau sekitar 22,9%, menunjukkan hasil belajar yang sedang. Selain itu, ada 2 siswa, atau sekitar 5,7%, dengan hasil belajar yang sangat rendah. Pada siklus II, 25 siswa, atau sekitar 71,4% dari 35 siswa, tergolong dalam kategori tuntas, sedangkan 10 siswa, atau sekitar 28,6%, masih berada dalam kategori tidak tuntas. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam hasil belajar siswa.
