Abstract

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the complex interplay between financial literacy, financial behavior, self-control, debt management, and financial well-being. Utilizing in-depth interviews with a purposively selected group of individuals engaged in financial planning to manage personal or household debt, the research aims to explore how financial literacy, self-efficacy, and financial motivation mediate the relationship between financial planning and consumer debt management. The methodology encompasses a thematic analysis of participants' narratives to identify and interpret the underlying themes related to financial management practices. Findings reveal a multifaceted relationship where financial literacy emerges as a foundational element, enhancing participants' ability to manage debt effectively. High financial self-efficacy, influenced by literacy, motivates proactive financial behaviors, leading to improved financial well-being. Conversely, low self-control and procrastination were identified as significant barriers to effective debt management. The study also highlights the pivotal role of quantitative literacy and material values in shaping financial behavior, with strong quantitative skills and lower materialism associated with forward-looking financial decisions. These insights underscore the need for comprehensive financial education that addresses not only the cognitive aspects of financial decision-making but also the psychological factors influencing financial behaviors. Tailoring financial education to individual needs and contexts is critical for enhancing financial literacy, self-efficacy, and motivation, ultimately leading to better debt management and financial health.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors influencing loyalty toward KUR (People’s Business Credit) guarantee products offered by Askrindo Syariah at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in the Makassar Region. The study explores four independent variables: service quality, technological innovation, institutional reputation, and collaboration effectiveness. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 branch managers of BSI who utilize Askrindo Syariah’s KUR guarantee products during 2023–2024. Statistical analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results indicate that service quality, technological innovation, institutional reputation, and collaboration effectiveness have positive and significant effects on loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. The adjusted R² value of 0.744 shows that 74.4% of the variance in loyalty can be explained by the four variables. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing digital innovation, institutional trust, and inter-institutional collaboration to sustain long-term partnerships in Islamic financial ecosystems

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational and democratic leadership styles on the quality of administrative services with technology utilization as a mediating variable at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The population of this study consists of all students of the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. To determine a representative sample size, the Slovin formula was applied, resulting in 384 respondents. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. The findings reveal that transformational leadership does not have a significant direct effect on the quality of administrative services, whereas democratic leadership has a positive and significant effect. Both transformational and democratic leadership styles significantly influence technology utilization, which in turn positively affects the quality of administrative services. Furthermore, technology utilization serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between both leadership styles and the quality of administrative services. These findings underscore the importance of integrating participative and transformational leadership with technology utilization to enhance the quality of administrative services in higher education institutions.
