Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of the Islamic Boarding School curriculum in Langkat Regency, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for the curriculum, and evaluate it. The research is qualitative field research with a natural approach. The research employed data collection procedures through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that: The Babussalam and Nuur Ar-Radhiyyah Modern Islamic Boarding Schools use a combination of the national curriculum (diknas) and the Islamic boarding school/Kuliyyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum. The curriculum development process at these schools is influenced by several supporting and inhibiting factors. One of the inhibiting factors is: There is a natural selection process related to students’ enthusiasm and desire to learn. However, the media is still limited, and not all teachers follow independent curriculum guidance. The evaluation of curriculum development policies at the Babussalam and Nuur Ar-Radhiyyah Modern Islamic Boarding Schools has not yet been fully implemented. The incomplete availability of resources in each educational unit and the lack of a fully student-centered curriculum hinder optimal operation. Additionally, the facilities and infrastructure that can support implementation are not yet complete.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the issues and solutions regarding Islamic education from the perspective of Ramli Abdul Wahid. Employing a qualitative method with a figure study approach, the study reveals six problems in Islamic education according to Ramli, including the emergence of SKB 3 Ministers, insufficiently compotent educators, lack of enthusiasm among students for academic studies, proliferation of fake academic degrees, a lack of proficiency in Arabic language, and a lack of moral education. The primary solution to these issues as identified by Ramli Abdul Wahid, lies in fostering awareness among students, educators, and parents that Indonesia lags behind in the field of education compared to other countries, including neighboring ones. Consequently, there should be a growing determination to address this educational lag.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Rights of Children in the Book of Tarbiyah al-Aulād Fī al-Islām by Sheikh Muḥammad Mutawallī al-Sya‘rāwī. This research method uses qualitative research with the type of manuscript study research. Technical data analysis using content analysis. The overall results of the study there are 22 points of children's rights in the family then classified/grouped into two (2) points. The points of children's rights before birth are four, the piety of parents, the physical health of both parents from disease, asking for protection from Allah from Satan before having sex with his wife, not attacking her (aborting) while she is still in her mother's womb. The points of children's rights after birth are eighteen, the Adhan in his right ear, shaving the hair of a newborn baby and giving charity with the weight of his hair, Sacrifice (aqiqah) for them on the seventh day after birth, raising faith before the Koran, teaching the Koran, Commandment for prayer, Encouraging them to seek knowledge, Providing for them, Separating children in bed, Education of children, Honoring children and doing good to them, leaving prayers for them, Prohibition of bad associations, and justice between them.

Abstract

Aqidah This research aims to explain the development of philosophy and science in ancient Greece and the Islamic era. The type of research used in this study is a literary study using a descriptive analytical approach method. This research was carried out by collecting various kinds of information and studying various literature related to the Development of Philosophy in Science, Palda Zamaln Yulnani and the Islamic Era. The results of this research show that Philosophy and Science in the Yulnan Era was a very important period due to the emergence of the human thought pattern from mythocentric to logocentric. And during the golden age of Islamic civilization (750-1258 AD), Muslim scholars developed philosophy and science by adopting and modifying Greek thought. Abstract

Pemisahan ilmu di lembaga pendidikan Islam telah menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan kemanusiaan. Pemisahan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu sains umum telah lama menjadi perdebatan, dan sebagian umat Islam masih mempertahankan pandangan bahwa keduanya tidak dapat digabungkan karena perbedaan domainnya. Hal ini sejalan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan barat yang bersifat sekuler dinilai tidak sesuai dengan konsep ajaran Islam yang menitikberatkan pada kepercayaan wahyu. Atas dasar ini muncul para ilmuan dengan gagasan pemikiran islamisasi ilmu pengetahuannya pada awal tahun 60-an. Ide awal ini dicetuskan oleh Naquib Al-attas dan dipopulerkan oleh Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. Konsep islamisasi yang mereka usung adalah untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip, konsep dan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kerangka pengembangan disiplin ilmu modern sehingga tidak ada lagi ilmu yang bersifat sekuler atau bebas nilai dengan begitu dapat selaras dengan pandangan Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan studi kepustakaan berupa data sekunder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami sejauh mana integrasi ilmu dalam Islam berhasil membentuk karakteristik unik suatu institusi pendidikan serta kontribusinya dalam menjawab tantangan kompleksitas permasalahan dunia nyata serta melahirkan para lulusan yang unggul yang memiliki kompetensi akademik yang berlandaskan kepada nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find answers related to epistemological questions: the relationship of sense, reason, intuition, and revelation in the development of Islamic science. The research method used is library research. The data collection technique used by researchers is a literature study. The library method is research carried out by reading books or magazines with other data sources in the library. The results of this research found that epistemology in seeking knowledge originates from Empiricism, Rationalism, and Intuition-Revelation. Judging from the basic teachings of Islam, the Koran is knowledge obtained through the senses, reason, and heart. The senses, reason, and heart play a role in distinguishing truth from falsehood. Reason is considered a source of thinking and philosophizing with the aim of pursuing truth. Revelation provides an explanation to explore the truth. Reason is considered a tool capable of rationally expressing the truth brought by revelation. In Islamic teachings, the use of reason is not given absolute freedom. The suggestion for the next writer is that it is deemed necessary to develop the range of reason in finding truth based on the kauniyah verses.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural sangat penting diberikan kepada anak sejak dini di sekolah. Namun, mengingat beban mata pelajaran sekolah ini sudah cukup banyak, maka alangkah baiknya bila mata pelajaran pendidikan multikultural tidak menjadi mata pelajaran tersendiri, tetapi diintegrasikan dengan mata pelajaran yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaiman pendekatan dan model-model pendidikan multicultural. Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model-model pendidikan multicultural dikenali lima pendekatan, yaitu: pertama, pendidikan mengenai perbedaan-perbedaan kebudayaan atau multikulturalisme; kedua, pendidikan mengenai perbedaan-perbedaan kebudayaan atau pemahaman kebudayaan; ketiga, pendidikan bagi pluralisme kebudayaan; keempat, pendidikan dwi-budaya; kelima, pendidikan multikultural sebagai pengalaman moral manusia. Serta dalam pendekatan multicultural terdapat beberapa pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam pengimplementasian pendidikan multikultur, yaitu: 1) Pendekatan Historis, 2) Pendekatan Sosiologis, 3) Pendekatan Kultural, 4) Pendekatan Psikologis, 5) Pendekatan Estetik, dan 6) Pendekatan Berspektif Gender

Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis perencanaan, menjelaskan penerapan dan evaluasi pendidikan multikultural di lingkungan sekolah SMP IT Darur Rasyid Silatong. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Dengan menerapkan metode penelitian kualitatif dan studi lapangan, pendekatan yang dipakai pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, dimana sebuah pendekatan yang bermaksud untuk menganalisis secara menyeluruh terhadap satu kasus atau beberapa kasus yang berhubungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan multikulturalisme dalam pendidikan memerlukan pendekatan holistik, melibatkan aspek-aspek seperti kurikulum, model pembelajaran, suasana sekolah dan peran guru. Pentingnya penilaian isi, pendekatan, dan kurikulum yang menghargai perbedaan dan tidak diskriminatif juga ditekankan. Guru memiliki peran sentral dalam mengelola konten sekolah, memimpin proses pembelajaran, dan mengorganisir kegiatan lintas budaya. Selain itu, upaya untuk menghargai budaya lain dapat ditekankan melalui pendekatan pedagogis, seperti memotivasi siswa untuk mempelajari berbagai bahasa suku lain sejak dini, sehingga mereka dapat memahami dan menghargai orang dari etnis yang berbeda. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya penerapan pendidikan multikultural dalam rangka menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan memperkaya pengalaman pendidikan bagi siswa di sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara multikultural yang sangat besar dengan keberagaman suku, ras, agama dan budaya. Pendidikan multikultural adalah pendidikan yang berdasarkan pada prinsip dan ajaran konsep multikulturalisme, khususnya konsep keberagaman yang mengakui, menerima dan menekankan perbedaan dan persamaan antar manusia mengenai gender, ras dan golongan, tentang agama, berdasarkan demokrasi, nilai-nilai dan perjanjian untuk mempromosikan pluralisme budaya dalam bisnis. menentang prasangka dan diskriminasi. Pentingnya pendidikan multikultural di Indonesia terletak pada kenyataan bahwa pendidikan multikultural memberikan alternatif penyelesaian konflik. Siswa tidak boleh meninggalkan  akar budayanya, dan pendidikan multikultural sangat cocok dengan demokrasi  yang ada saat ini. Urgensi penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pendidikan multikultural  di sekolah umum yang notabenenya diisi dengan peserta didik yang memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian kepustaan dengan sumber datanya merupakan literatur terkait objek pembahasan. Salah satu sekolah yang melaksanakan pendidikan multikultural adalah SMP Swasta Al-Hikmah Tanjung Pura. Konsep pendidikan multikultural yang dikemukakan adalah perubahan paradigma dalam memandang kurikulum, menghindari pandangan yang menyamakan kebudayaan dengan kelompok etnik dan interaksi inisiatif dalam. Implementasi pendidikan multikultural di SMP Swasta Al-Hikmah Tanjung Pura dilaksanakan dengan mengintegrasikan multikulturalisme dalam kurikulum, penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural dalam pembelajaran, penanaman pemahaman kemajemukan dan keberagaman budaya dan kegiatan penunjang pendidikan multikultural.

Abstract

This research method uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. This approach was chosen to understand students' subjective experiences related to the implementation of punishment in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning responsibilities. The data collection process was carried out through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and schools involved in the implementation of punishment. This interview aims to explore their views, feelings, and experiences regarding the effects of punishment on students' learning responsibilities. In addition, classroom observations were also conducted to see the dynamics of interactions between students and teachers and the implementation of punishment in real situations. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques, where researchers identified the main themes that emerged from interviews and observations. This process involves coding data, grouping themes, and interpreting the meaning of the experiences expressed by participants. With a phenomenological approach, this study seeks to provide a deep understanding of how punishment affects students' learning responsibilities in PAI, as well as how students and teachers respond to and interpret these experiences. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for the development of more effective educational strategies in the context of PAI learning.
