Abstract

One of the tri dharma of higher education is that lecturers are required to do community service. STIE Al Washliyah Sibolga supports lecturers in carrying out community service according to their areas of expertise. One of the areas of expertise at STIE Al Washliyah Sibolga is related to entrepreneurship. Basically, the purpose of community service is to provide new ideas about entrepreneurship and build a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, especially for young people at Desa Tapian Nauli I. The targeted result with dedication is to provide entrepreneurship counseling to build a creative and entrepreneurial spirit for beginners. The expected creative abilities are creative and innovative abilities which form the basis of an entrepreneurial spirit to achieve success. The entrepreneurial spirit can encourage an independent, creative and innovative mentality, be responsible and not give up easily when starting a business. It is hoped that this counseling will run well and the insight of young people at Desa Tapian Nauli I will increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya Pengaruh Pemasaran Digital dan Citra Hotel Terhadap Keputusan Menginap Pada Grand Pandan Hotel. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Konsumen yang ada pada Grand Pandan Hotel dengan penyebaran kuesioner berjumlah 72 responden. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa koefisien korelasi diperoleh hasil terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara Pemasaran Digital dengan Keputusan Menginap 0,734 dan hubungan Citra Hotel dengan Keputusan Menginap sebesar 0,516. Berdasarkan analisis Koefisien Determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,641 hal ini berarti bahwa yang terjadi pada variasi variabel terikat Keputusan Menginap 64,1% ditentukan oleh variabel bebas Pemasaran Digital dan Citra Hotel secara serempak dan sisanya sebesar 35,9% ditentukan oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dari hasil uji t pada penelitian diketahui bahwa nilai t hitung Pemasaran Digital (X1) sebesar 6,419 > t tabel 1,667 dan Citra Hotel (X2) sebesar 4,448 > t tabel 1,667, maka hipotesis menyatakan Pemasaran Digital dan Citra Hotel secara parsial atau individu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Menginap pada Grand Pandan Hotel dapat diterima. Sedangkan dari hasil uji F diketahui Nilai F hitung 61,645 > F tabel 3,13 dan signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga hipotesis yang menyatakan Pemasaran Digital dan Citra Hotel berpengaruh signifikan secara bersama atau simultan terhadap Keputusan Menginap pada Grand Pandan Hotel dapat diterima.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality and price on consumer purchasing decisions at Ribka Chips Business in Sibolga. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The sample consists of 72 respondents who are consumers of Ribka Chips Business, and data were collected through questionnaires. The results show that the coefficient of determination is 0.606, indicating that 60.6% of the variation in consumer purchasing decisions is jointly influenced by product quality and price, while the remaining 39.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The t-test results indicate that product quality (t = 4.853; sig = 0.001 < 0.05) and price (t = 2.756; sig = 0.007 < 0.05) have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Furthermore, the F-test results show that product quality and price simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions (F = 52.993; sig = 0.001 < 0.05).

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in translation has created an urgent need to examine its effectiveness in producing high-quality academic texts, particularly in relation to linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and terminological consistency. This study investigates the relationship among these three dimensions and their contribution to the quality of academic translation, while comparing the performance of ChatGPT and Google Translate. A quantitative quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed, involving two classes (experimental = ChatGPT; control = Google Translate; n = 30 each). Data were collected using a Likert-scale rubric covering four indicators: accuracy, naturalness, terminology consistency, and overall quality. The instrument was validated through Rasch analysis, and data met the assumptions for parametric testing. The findings indicate that the experimental group demonstrated consistent improvement across all indicators, with notable gains in naturalness and terminology consistency. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences between the two groups in key aspects of translation quality, favoring the use of ChatGPT. In addition, effectiveness analysis showed that the improvement achieved by the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. Structural modeling further suggests that naturalness and terminology consistency play a substantial role in shaping overall translation quality. Overall, the results highlight that high-quality academic translation is achieved through the integration of accurate meaning, fluent expression, and consistent terminology. ChatGPT demonstrates a comparative advantage in supporting these dimensions, suggesting its potential as a complementary tool in academic translation practices and higher education contexts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low descriptive writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students, characterized by limited student participation, low motivation, and difficulties in expressing ideas in written form. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ descriptive essay writing skills through the use of realia media in Grade V of SDN JUNTI 2. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in three cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants of the study were 29 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, writing tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to determine improvements in learning outcomes and classroom activities. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ descriptive writing abilities in each cycle. The average student score increased from 5.89 in Cycle I to 6.41 in Cycle II and reached 8.00 in Cycle III. Student participation, motivation, and creativity in the learning process also improved through direct interaction with real objects. The findings indicate that the implementation of realia media effectively enhances students’ descriptive writing skills and creates more active and meaningful learning experiences. This study contributes to the development of innovative language learning strategies, particularly in improving elementary students’ writing competence through contextual and concrete instructional media.

Abstract

performance can be done by implementing effective communication. This study aims to analyze effective communication on improving employee performance at PT. Kencana Mulia Abadi Sibolga. The sample in this study were all employees of PT. Kencana Mulia Abadi Sibolga which opened 31 people. The analytical method used for testing and proving the hypothesis is a descriptive quantitative approach. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between effective communication and employee performance at PT. Kencana Mulia Abadi Sibolga is 0.757, so if it is interpreted on a scale it can be categorized as sufficient. The regression equation obtained is Y= 12,491+0,637 X which shows the effect of effective communication on employee performance. The t test shows that the proposed hypothesis is accepted as true, where t count 6.241 > t table 2.0452, which means that employee performance will increase the regression coefficient/slop (0.573) if the effective communication variable is added by one unit. Based on the research results obtained between effective communication and improving employee performance at PT. Kencana Mulia Abadi Sibolga has a positive relationship, it can be seen from the increase in the number of consumers in the last 5 years as many as 310 people.  Keyword: Effective, Employee, Performance, Communication, Improvement
