Abstract

Latar belakang yang mendorong penelitian ini adalah adanya permasalahan yang dihadapi peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dalam memahami materi pembelajaran cerita fabel. Permasalahan tersebut muncul karena kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif, minimnya interaksi antara guru dan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran, serta rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan. Kondisi ini berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang belum optimal. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu inovasi dalam pembelajaran berupa media yang kreatif, interaktif, dan mampu menarik perhatian siswa. Salah satu solusi yang dikembangkan adalah media cerita gambar berseri fabel berjudul “Singa dan Tikus” yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development / R&D) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran serta menguji tingkat kelayakan dan keberterimaannya. Proses pengembangan media dilakukan hingga tahap uji kebertermaan yang dilaksanakan di SDN Krapyak Lor 05. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, ahli materi memberikan persentase kelayakan sebesar 96%, sedangkan ahli media memberikan penilaian dengan rata-rata 93%. Selain itu, hasil angket kebertermaan dari siswa memperoleh 96%, dan dari guru mencapai 100%. Dengan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media cerita gambar berseri yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik” dan “sangat layak” untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya materi cerita fabel. Media ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa serta menjadi salah satu alternatif yang efektif bagi guru dalam mengajar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that, in the learning process, many students remain passive and have yet to fully grasp the material. Reflective thinking skills are still relatively low, while educators continue to rely on conventional teaching models, predominantly using the lecture method. Furthermore, the learning media employed have not been fully adapted to students’ needs. The aim of this research is to determine the level of students' reflective thinking skills and their responses to these abilities. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two experimental groups treated in the same manner. The population consists of Year 4 students, divided into two classes. Data were collected through observation, pre-test and post-test assessments, and questionnaires. Based on the findings, the average score in Experimental Class 1 was 0.61, while Experimental Class 2 obtained 0.45. From this, it can be concluded that the use of the Problem-Based Learning model, incorporating Augmented Reality as a learning medium, has an impact on reflective thinking skills in the topic of energy transformation in Year 4 primary school students. The response towards reflective thinking was positive. The implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model alongside Augmented Reality proved effective in fostering a positive reflective thinking attitude. Students demonstrated great enthusiasm in learning, and their curiosity regarding various problems increased. Consequently, they were able to provide responses and solutions to issues presented within the topic of energy transformation.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy are two basic skills that are very important for every individual in facing future challenges. This study is motivated by the low literacy and numeracy skills of students in IPAS subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of STEM approach based on literacy and numeracy on human respiratory system material in phase C students of SD N Sampangan 01. This study used pre-test and post-test methods, and quasi-experiment using a nonequivalent control group design pattern. The average results of students' posttest scores after being given treatment using the STEM approach. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between the results of the pre-test and post-test used to measure numeracy literacy skills with the STEM approach. This is evidenced by the results of data analysis using the t test, which shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the decision taken is to reject H0 and accept Ha, which means that there is a significant difference between students' literacy and numeracy skills before and after the application of the STEM approach with the PjBL learning model.

Abstract

Traditional games are an integral part of Indonesia’s cultural heritage and possess significant educational value, particularly in fostering students’ character development. This study focuses on the implementation of the traditional Bakiak game as a medium for strengthening character education among elementary school students. The research was motivated by the declining popularity of traditional games among students, which has led to concerns about the loss of character-building opportunities embedded in such activities.This qualitative research employed a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data collection, reduction, and presentation techniques. The participants consisted of students from SD Negeri Wirokerten.The results indicate that the implementation of the Bakiak game contributes positively to the development of students' character. The activity supports the enhancement of physical and motor skills, fosters cooperation, and nurtures appreciation for individual differences. Supporting factors for implementation include the availability of time, a flexible curriculum, and strong support from the school community and students’ parents. Conversely, inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure for traditional games and student behaviors that still require development.This study provides empirical evidence on the educational potential of traditional games, offering valuable insights for educators and future researchers in designing relevant and sustainable character education programs.
