Abstract

This review synthesizes current literature on Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the Indonesian higher education) philosophy that encompasses education, research, and community service, as a foundational ethical framework to promote moral literacy and an ethical mindset among learners and citizens. Rooted in the nation’s post-independence vision, Tri Dharma is not merely an academic mandate but a holistic moral philosophy that informs intellectual development, civic responsibility, and community well-being. By drawing on policy documents, ethnographic fieldwork, empirical educational studies, and national reform initiatives, this paper examines the ways in which Tri Dharma has been operationalized across diverse institutional and community contexts. The findings reveal that Tri Dharma fosters a values-driven education model that integrates compassion, critical thinking, and social justice into both formal instruction and public engagement. It bridges traditional Indonesian virtues, such as gotong-royong (mutual cooperation), bhineka tunggal ika (unity in diversity), and cinta tanah air (love for the homeland), with contemporary societal challenges like environmental degradation, digital ethics, and national fragmentation. By highlighting transformative programs such as Gerakan Literasi Nasional, Kartu Prakerja, and ecological initiatives grounded in local wisdom, this review underscores the ongoing relevance of Tri Dharma in cultivating ethical, reflective, and civically engaged citizens in an increasingly globalized and complex world.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an interactive, interesting, effective, and fun multimedia-based e-module for the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) course, which can be accessed online so that it can improve student learning outcomes in e-learning via Moodle LMS. The research method employed is the Research and Development (R&D) method. The research method used is the research and development method, which has been modified by Sukmadinata and consists of a preliminary study stage, a model development stage, and a model test stage. The data used in this research is primary data, a population of teaching lecturers who are experts in teaching Geographic Information Systems courses as an e-module trial. The second primary data is the respondent population of ITB STIKOM Bali students who took the Geographic Information Systems course. The sample used in this study was a simple random sample of students registered to take these courses. The data collection technique used in this research used a Likert scale questionnaire instrument for e-module testing. The questionnaire analysis technique uses the feasibility percentage formula. To determine the effectiveness of the e-module, give a test to a sample of students before and after using the e-module by using the N-gain formula in data analysis. The research findings indicate that the e-module is suitable for use as a learning resource, as it received a positive evaluation from the lecturers who used it, with an average score of 48.5 or 88.2% in the "excellent" category based on Likert scale responses in the questionnaire. Additionally, the e-module is effective for student learning, as evidenced by the N-Gain score of 0.74, with a value greater than 0.7, indicating a high level of effectiveness.

Abstract

The development of game-based mathematics learning media serves as a strategic means of improving problem-solving skills among grade XI students in learning circle concepts. This research aims to produce RPG Maker MV-based learning media that is valid, practical and effective in improving problem solving for class XI circle material. This research uses a development method with the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Planning, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. There are 2 (two) tests carried out, namely through formative evaluation with research success criteria, post-test and pre-test scores based on the N-Gain Test with the completeness criterion g≥30 and the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria with the completeness criterion X>40. Based on the media use effectiveness test, an N-Gain result of 0.60 was obtained with the medium category and the results of the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria with a percentage of 97.22% with the complete category based on a limited trial of 39 students of SMA Negeri 1 Singaraja.

Abstract

Mastery of mathematical concepts occupies a strategic position in the learning process, as it serves as the foundation for students' reasoning and problem-solving abilities. However, the reality of learning shows that this achievement is not optimal, as evidenced by the tendency of students to rely on procedural memorization without adequate conceptual understanding. This condition demands the implementation of an instructional approach that can activate students' role in constructing knowledge. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model combined with Educaplay media on the mathematical concept comprehension abilities of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg Timur. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with a Post-test Only Control Group Design. All seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg Timur in the current academic year, totaling 89 students and spread across three classes, were designated as the study population. Sample selection was carried out using a cluster random sampling technique, resulting in two classes as samples, each consisting of 32 students. The experimental group received learning with the TGT model assisted by Educaplay, while the control group received direct learning. Data were collected using a mathematical concept understanding test instrument that met the criteria for validity and reliability. Data processing was performed using a t-test (independent samples test) at a 5% significance level. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average score for mathematical concept understanding in the experimental group reached 87.91, while the control group obtained an average score of 81.41. Hypothesis testing resulted in a significance value of 0.007, which is below the 0.05 limit. These findings indicate a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament learning model supported by Educaplay media has a significant influence on improving students' mathematical concept understanding abilities.ABSTRAKPenguasaan konsep matematika menempati posisi strategis dalam proses pembelajaran, karena menjadi landasan bagi kemampuan bernalar dan pemecahan masalah siswa. Akan tetapi, realitas pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa capaian tersebut belum optimal, yang tampak dari kecenderungan peserta didik mengandalkan hafalan prosedural tanpa disertai pemaknaan konseptual yang memadai. Kondisi ini menuntut penerapan pendekatan instruksional yang mampu mengaktifkan peran siswa dalam membangun pengetahuan. Penelitian ini diarahkan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) yang dipadukan dengan media Educaplay terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg Timur. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimen dengan rancangan Post-test Only Control Group Design. Seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg Timur pada tahun ajaran berjalan, yang berjumlah 89 siswa dan tersebar dalam tiga kelas, ditetapkan sebagai populasi penelitian. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh dua kelas sebagai sampel, masing-masing terdiri atas 32 siswa. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model TGT berbantuan Educaplay, sedangkan kelompok kontrol mengikuti pembelajaran langsung. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep matematika yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui uji t (independent samples test) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rerata skor pemahaman konsep matematika pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 87,91, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 81,41. Pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,007 yang berada di bawah batas 0,05. Temuan tersebut mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament yang didukung oleh media Educaplay memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Learning Management System (LMS) on the success of blended learning using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature analyzed came from accredited journals indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with a publication range of 2020-2024 and the selection process was carried out based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) so that 20 journals were obtained that showed that LMS is effective in increasing the success of blended learning. Based on the analysis of articles and journals, this review highlights that LMS significantly increases several aspects of blended learning. Specifically, the use of LMS leads to a significant increase in several aspects of blended learning. LMS has been shown to be a critical determinant in enhancing student engagement within blended learning environments. Furthermore, LMS supports early data detection, which ultimately improves student learning outcomes. Students also experience higher satisfaction levels when LMS is integrated into blended learning courses. Beyond student benefits, LMS facilitates enhanced course management and delivery, providing a robust framework for modern education with effective organization and flexible learning experiences. The effectiveness of teaching is also improved through the integration of technology-mediated learning approaches via LMS. Moreover, LMS can accelerate the adaptation of teachers to distance education, increasing adoption rates and supporting various aspects of blended learning implementation. From this study, it can be seen that in general it shows indicators that LMS can improve student learning outcomes and learning independence in accordance with the objectives of blended learning. However, the effectiveness of LMS varies by educational context, and the intention to continue using LMS is influenced by perceptions of usefulness and satisfaction. The review concludes that several key elements maximize the impact of LMS on blended learning success: positive user experience, active teacher involvement, utilization of LMS data, and consideration of the educational context. LMS adoption is driven by the need for flexibility and to accelerate the digitalization of education, its can be seen from the increased effectiveness and ease of learning with flexible and cost-effective access to materials, as well as increasing learning independence by facilitating students to learn according to their respective speeds and learning styles.Effective implementation, however, requires addressing teacher anxiety by providing adequate support, such as internet and computer/gadget availability. These findings confirm that LMS plays a very important role in increasing the success of blended.

Abstract

Perkembangan era Revolusi Industri 4.0 menuntut pembelajaran matematika yang mampu mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, salah satunya kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Namun, berbagai hasil penelitian dan asesmen pendidikan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP masih tergolong rendah. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya inovasi bahan ajar yang tidak hanya berbasis teknologi, tetapi juga kontekstual dan dekat dengan kehidupan siswa. Salah satu alternatif yang berpotensi menjawab permasalahan tersebut adalah pemanfaatan e-modul matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang diintegrasikan dengan budaya lokal. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis hasil-hasil penelitian terkait integrasi budaya lokal dalam e-modul matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP. Data diperoleh dari berbagai penelitian nasional maupun internasional yang diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi yang telah ditetapkan, meliputi kesesuaian topik, jenjang pendidikan, jenis penelitian, serta keterbaruan publikasi. Hasil kajian dari artikel yang dianalisis (100%) menunjukkan bahwa e-modul matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui penyajian masalah kontekstual yang mendorong siswa untuk memahami masalah, merencanakan strategi penyelesaian, dan mengevaluasi solusi yang diperoleh. Integrasi budaya lokal dalam e-modul membantu siswa mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan pengalaman nyata, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Selain itu, penggunaan e-modul berbasis teknologi meningkatkan kemandirian dan motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa integrasi budaya lokal dalam e-modul matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpotensi efektif sebagai bahan ajar inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP. Namun, untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih pasti perlu diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an experimental approach integrating scientific nutrition education into physical education learning in improving nutrition knowledge and healthy behavior intentions among junior high school students. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group model, involving 40 seventh-grade students at Beijing No. 3 Middle School (Xicheng District, Beijing, China) who were divided into an experimental group and a control group through class-based randomization. The experimental group followed an integrated "physical training + scientific nutrition" curriculum for 10 weeks, while the control group received conventional physical education. The research instruments included nutrition knowledge tests and healthy behavior intention questionnaires that met the criteria for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) as the main analysis, followed by univariate ANCOVA, to control for differences in students' initial abilities. The results of the multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) indicated a significant multivariate effect of the teaching mode on students’ nutrition knowledge and healthy behavior intention after controlling for pretest scores (Wilks’ Λ = 0.338, F = 34.21, p < 0.001). This finding provides quantitative evidence that the integrated physical training and scientific nutrition learning approach significantly improved students’ learning outcomes compared to the conventional physical education model. These findings indicate that integrating scientific nutrition concepts into authentic physical training experiences can build strong links between cognitive understanding, physical experience, and health behavior reflection. This study concludes that the integration of scientific nutrition education based on educational technology is an effective and strategic approach to improving health literacy and encouraging sustainable healthy behavior change among junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of designing and optimizing mobile learning resources within a user oriented educational technology framework in enhancing students’ learning engagement in higher education. The study employed a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design. Participants were undergraduate students from Tianjin University of Technology selected through purposive sampling to ensure comparable academic backgrounds. Two intact classes were assigned as the experimental and control groups to maintain ecological validity. The experimental group consisted of 199 students, while the control group consisted of 200 students, resulting in a total sample of 399 participants (N = 399). Quantitative data were collected using validated scales measuring learning support, competence support, emotional support, learning self efficacy, learning engagement, were analyzed using ANCOVA, MANOVA, regression and mediation analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from learning behavior logs, classroom observations, and semi structured interviews and analyzed thematically. The results indicate that all three support dimensions significantly and positively influenced learning engagement, both directly and indirectly through learning self efficacy as a partial mediator. Learning support emerged as the strongest predictor of engagement, followed by competence and emotional support. These findings suggest that effective mobile learning is not determined by technological access alone, but by the quality of user-oriented learning experiences. This study provides empirical evidence that the MOVES framework offers a robust foundation for designing mobile learning resources that foster sustained engagement, self efficacy, and meaningful learning in digitally mediated higher education environments.
