Abstract

This study aims to develop e-learning content based on the ICARE model (Introduce, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) on the Learning Management System (LMS) platform of Bali Province Center for Teachers and Education Personnel (BGTK). This development specifically addresses the need to improve teachers' personality competencies, given the current sub-standard competency levels and limited access to flexible, interactive training. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, this study involved 30 elementary school teachers in Denpasar as field trial subjects. Data collection instruments included expert validation sheets, the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), the System Usability Scale (SUS), and learning outcomes tests (pre-test and post-test). The results indicate that the e-learning media is highly valid, achieving a coefficient score of 1.00 from both media and content experts. The media also met the criteria for high practicality, falling into the "Excellent" category, and received highly positive user feedback. Comparative analysis showed a significant improvement in teachers' personality competence, with mean scores increasing from 66.8 to 86.2. Furthermore, effectiveness analysis placed the impact of this development in the "large effect" category. In conclusion, this e-learning content is effective in improving teacher personality competence in an independent and systematic manner.

Abstract

 The problem of low critical thinking skills among grade VII students in informatics at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja is closely linked to the persistent use of conventional teaching methods. These traditional approaches often lack interactivity, limiting students' understanding of abstract technical concepts like computer networks and algorithms. To address this pedagogical gap, this study aims to develop an interactive e-module based on the case based learning model, integrated with augmented reality technology to facilitate an immersive learning experience. This research and development study adopted the ADDIE instructional model and employed a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and higher order thinking skills oriented critical thinking tests. The effectiveness was analyzed using the N-gain index, paired sample t-tests, and Cohen’s d effect size. The results indicate that the AR based CBL e-module achieved a 100% validity score based on expert evaluations, along with excellent practicality scores of 91% from students and 100% from teachers. Furthermore, the field test showed a statistically significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills (p < 0.001) with a large effect size of 3.955, reflecting a strong positive impact on learning outcomes. In conclusion, the AR assisted CBL e-module is a highly valid, practical, and effective educational tool. This study contributes to the educational technology literature by demonstrating how integrating 3D visual scaffolding with authentic case scenarios successfully overcomes cognitive barriers and fosters higher-order thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of ChatGPT in Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based mathematics learning on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol. Data were collected from articles indexed in Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar, published between 2020 and 2026. Based on a rigorous selection process involving identification, screening, and eligibility stages, 11 articles met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that the PBL model consistently improves students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities by encouraging active engagement, critical thinking, and independent learning. Furthermore, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly ChatGPT, contributes positively by supporting conceptual understanding, providing alternative solution strategies, and enhancing students’ learning motivation. The results also show that the combination of PBL and ChatGPT has greater potential in improving mathematical problem-solving skills compared to their separate implementation. However, challenges such as technology dependency and information accuracy still exist. Therefore, the integration of PBL and ChatGPT can be considered an innovative learning approach in 21st-century mathematics education.

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa perlu mendapat perhatian karena berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir logis, menghubungkan konsep, dan menyelesaikan masalah matematika secara sistematis. Hal ini diperkuat oleh hasil TKA tahun 2025 yang menunjukkan rata-rata nilai matematika siswa di Provinsi Bali sebesar 38,94, sehingga menjadi indikasi awal perlunya penguatan pembelajaran matematika. Pentingnya kemampuan penalaran matematis juga dilihat dari tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka yaitu sebagai salah satu kompetensi yang perlu dimiliki siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya penguatan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran seperti model pembelajaran ELPSA berbantuan Quizizz. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran ELPSA (Experience, Language, Picture, Symbols, Application) berbantuan Quizizz terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis eksperimen semu dengan desain post-test only control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAS Karya Wisata Singaraja dengan jumlah keseluruhan yaitu 145 siswa. Terdapat dua kelas yang diambil sebagai sampel penelitian yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling yaitu kelas X 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 34 siswa dan kelas X 3 sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 35 siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberi penerapan model pembelajaran ELPSA berbantuan Quizizz dan kelas kontrol diberi penerapan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan penalaran matematis yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji t (independent samples t-test) setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata nilai tes kemampuan penalaran matematis kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 71,82 dan 64,00. Dengan hasil uji t diperoleh nilai signifikansi p = 0,004, p < 0,05 yang berarti hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran ELPSA berbantuan Quizizz lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis hasil-hasil penelitian keterkaitan penerapan model Discovery Learning dan konflik kognitif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dengan sumber data berupa artikel jurnal nasional dan internasional yang dipublikasikan pada rentang tahun 2018–2025. Artikel dikumpulkan melalui Google Scholar menggunakan kata kunci Discovery Learning, konflik kognitif, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Dari 68 artikel yang ditemukan, setelah dilakukan proses seleksi diperoleh 13 artikel yang relevan untuk dianalisis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning dan strategi konflik kognitif secara konsisten memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Discovery Learning mendorong siswa aktif menemukan konsep dan menyusun strategi penyelesaian masalah, sedangkan konflik kognitif efektif dalam mengurangi miskonsepsi dan mendorong terjadinya perubahan konseptual. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Discovery Learning berorientasi konflik kognitif memiliki potensi besar sebagai inovasi pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan yang mengembangkan dan menguji secara empiris sintaks pembelajaran Discovery Learning berorientasi konflik kognitif pada berbagai materi dan jenjang Pendidikan. Abstract

Critical thinking skills and self-efficacy play a crucial role in mathematics learning; however, both remain relatively low due to the dominance of conventional methods and the limited use of technology. This study aims to analyze the effect of Discovery Learning with Liveworksheets (DLLW), Discovery Learning (DL), and Direct Instruction (DI), while controlling for prior knowledge. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with data analysis conducted via MANCOVA by involving prior knowledge as a covariate. The analysis was performed using SPSS at a significance level of 0.05. The sample consisted of 135 seventh-grade students divided into three groups. Research instruments included a valid and reliable critical thinking skills test and a self-efficacy questionnaire. The analysis results indicated significant simultaneous differences among the groups. Further tests revealed that the DLLW group significantly outperformed both the DL and DI groups in both critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. These findings indicate that the integration of Discovery Learning with Liveworksheets is more effective than the comparison groups in improving students’ critical thinking skills and self-efficacy.Keyword: Discovery Learning, Liveworksheets, Critical Thinking, Self-Efficacy.

Abstract

The 21st century demands students to develop critical and creative thinking skills, yet Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in schools still tends to be teacher-centered. This quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design aimed to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of the Problem-Based Flipped Learning(PBFL) model on students' critical and creative thinking skills compared to the Direct Instruction model. The study involved 64 eighth-grade students at SMP IT Al Hasaniyah NW Jenggik, selected through group random sampling. Data were collected using valid essay tests and analyzed using Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) by controlling for students' initial abilities (pretest). The multivariate results indicated that the PBFL model had a significant simultaneous effect on students' critical and creative thinking skills (p < 0.001). The partial eta squared effect size fell into the very large category, proving the model's dominant practical effectiveness. Partially, the PBFL model also exerted a significant and strong effect on both critical thinking (p < 0.001) and creative thinking skills (p < 0.001). This superiority was evident in students' sharp analysis from elementary clarification to strategic levels, alongside fluency in designing original theological solutions. In conclusion, integrating technology-assisted pre-class self-directed learning and authentic problem-solving within the PBFL model successfully accelerates students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in PAI subjects.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep geometri bangun datar adalah salah satu kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat SMP yang menghadapi banyak kendala, seperti rendahnya kemampuan visualisasi, pemahaman konsep, serta kesulitan dalam mengaitkan konsep dengan konteks nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis efektivitas penggunaan e-modul berbasis flipbook bermuatan masalah kontekstual dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri pada siswa, Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 15 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan pada rentang waktu 2022-2026. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu tahap identifikasi, seleksi, dan analisis artikel yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis flipbook secara umum memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran. Penggunaan media ini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi siswa, dan kemampuan visualisasi siswa. Selain itu, sebagian besar penelitian masih terbatas pada skala kecil dan desain pengembangan, sehingga generalisasi temuan perlu dilakukan secara hati-hati. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa e-modul flipbook bermuatan masalah kontekstual memiliki potensi sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri siswa SMP.
