Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on too many uses of ineffective sentences in the exposition essays written by the second gtade students of Batang Anai Junior High School. There were three purposes of this research, which were to describe the effectiveness of sentences written by the second grade students of Batang Anai Junior High School based on first sentence structure, second diction, and third words spelling. This research was a qualitative research. The method used in this research was descriptive. The results of the research were from 132 sentences used as the research data, there were 5 effective sentences and 127 ineffective sentences. In short, there were 12 ineffective sentences of the structure aspect, 85 ineffective sentences of the diction aspect, and 101 ineffective seiltences of the words spelling aspect. Kata kunci : keefektifan, kalimat, karangan, eksposisi, siswa

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to describe the influence of modeling problem based learning aided media beamed images the text short story writing skills by the students VII grade SMPNegeri 12 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with experiment method that used is statis design two groups. Based on the results of data analysis it was concluded the following three points.First, the skills of writing the text short story by the students VII grade SMPNegeri 12 Padang using conventional models is located on qualifications is good (76,94). Second, the skills of writing the text short story by the students VII grade SMPNegeri 12 Padang using modeling problem based learning aided media beamed image is located on qualifications is good (82,00). Third, based on the result of uji-t, there is effects of modeling problem based learning aided media beamed images the text story writing skills by the students VII grade SMPNegeri 12 Padang because tscore> ttable(5,62 > 1,70). Kata kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning berbantuan media gambar berseri, teks cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are objectives of this research. First, describing the control of vocabulary environment area at students grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Second, describing the writing skill of news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Third, describing the relation vocabulary environment area with the skill in writing news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. This is a quantitative research with descriptive method and using correlational research design. Population and sample of this research are VIII th grade student of SMP Negeri 22 Padang consist of 142 students and 36 sample students. This research use Simple random Sampling technique. This experiment consists of two variables: vocabulary as the independent variable (X) and the writing skills of news text as a dependent variable (Y). Data research was score on result of control vocabulary test and score on writing skills of news text. Data that has been collected were analyzed with indicator to get score and students value. The research instrument is an objective test to meassure vocabulary mastery and test to measure the performance of the writing skills of news text. Based of result data analyzed and explanation, were concluded 3 case. First, control of vocabulary on environment area students grade at VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang was on good qualification (77,43). Second, writing skills of news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 padang was on good qualification (79,01). Third, control vocabulary on environment area corresponded with writing skills news text at students grade SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Nevertheless, for the writing skills news text were needed control of vocabulary on environment area. Kata Kunci : hubungan, penguasaan, berita, menulis

Abstract

Bacterial leaf blight disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv oryzae (Xoo) is one of the important bacterial diseases,which is very destructive to rice plant. In this study, seventy isolates of Xoo were collected from several regions inWest Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java provinces and ten isolates from ICABIOGRAD collection. Theaim of the study was to survey variation and distribution of the pathogen and to study the interactions between theisolates and near isogenic lines carrying specific genes for bacterial leaf blight resistance. Twenty Xoo isolates wererandomly chosen to assess the differential characteristics of ten near-isogenic rice lines in Indonesia. The resultsshowed that xa5 resistant gene was the highest effective against the majority of Xoo isolate, followed by Xa21, andXa7 combined with Xa4 as the background. These findings are useful for rice breeding programs in designing stablebroad-spectrum bacterial blight resistant rice cultivars.Key words: Xanthomonas oryzae, resistant gene, Near isogenic line, Java

Abstract

The purposes of the article were to describe (1 ) good manners principle those are utilized in Talkshow “Neo Democrazy” at Metro TV , (2 ) converse strategies those are utilized in Talkshow “Neo Democrazy” at Metro TV.  This observational data is lingual dialogue record on Talkshow “Neo Democrazy” at Metro TV. Gathered data by utilized is tech learn, tech records and tech note. Observational finding can conclude following things. First, good manners principle that is utilized in Talkshow “Neo Democrazy” at Metro TV is maksim praise, maksim is humility, maksim is deal, maksim is sympathy, and maksim is generosity. Both of, converse strategy that is utilized in Talkshow “Neo Democrazy” at Metro TV is this as follows: frank converse strategy with positive good manners platitude and converse strategy speaks mind with negative good manners platitude. Relevant with research, recommended that maksim maksim's elect good manners gets language in hands down about television used by event filler so discourse it decent so person that is criticized, or is spoken not perceives to be pertained or anger with discourse that announced by comunicator.

Abstract

This article was written to determine acquisition of semantic olds 0;0-0;2 to word class noun, verbs, and adjectives. This research method is descriptive method. Research findings are; firts, child has mastered noun 121 words, consisting of noun limb, noun of objects arround, noun of fruits, noun of animal, noun of greeting, and noun of substance secreted human.second, childs has mastered 35 words of verb, consisting of action verbs, process verb, and state verbs. Third, child has mastered 50 words of adjectives, consisting of trait adjectives, size, feeling, time, distance,senses, form, and colour.

Abstract

This article was written that has purpose to (1) describethe form of speech acts at the pasambahan maanta marapulai wedding feast inKenagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok, and (2) Strategy tells the pasambahan maanta marapulai wedding feast onKenagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok. The data of this research is a form of speech act and the strategy tells the pasambahan maanta marapulai wedding feast onKenagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok. Sources of research data from recordings spoken by the speaker (juaro) inKenagarian Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok. The findings of this study as follows. First, there are four forms of speech acts are used inpasambahan maanta marapulai, namely (1) representative, (2) directive, (3) expressive, (4) declaration. Second, the strategy used in the recalledpasambahan maanta marapulai, namely (1) tells forthright without further ado, (2) tells forthright with niceties positive politeness, (3) tells forthright with negative politeness, and (4) vaguely recalled vague.

Abstract

This article was wrote to (1) describle the form of directive speech act that was used by the teacher in teaching and learning process, (2) describle strategy of speech act of teacher in teaching and learning process at Nusa Indah kindergarten. The data of this study were directive speech act of teacher kindergarten. The primary source of data were speech act of teacher at Nusa Indah kindergarten. Data were collected by using observation methods and record technique and note taking as an advanced technique. The findings of the study showed that there are five form of directive speech act, which was command, appeal, suggest, advise and defy. Two strategy of speech act are the admittedly without platitude of speech act and the admittedly by platitude in positive manners of speech act.

Abstract

This researcha ims to describe the educational values ​​embodied in the expression is purpose trust in Nagari Luak Kapau Pauh Duo Solok Selatan. The data of this research is the educational values ​​in the expression of people's trust. Data was collected through observation, interviews with community members and community leaders Nagari Luak Kapau Pauh Duo Solok Selatan. Data analysis was conducted descriptively. The results of research showed that 79 expression was found to contain educational value​​s. 79 of this expression, are found 17 phrases that contain the value of character education, 16 a phrase that contains the value of social education, 7 expression containing the value of beauty and aesthetic education, then 39 phrase that contains the value of family welf are education.

Abstract

There are three the purpose of writing article: (1) describes the form of idioms and the dominant form used  of community  at Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman, (2) describes the meaning of the idiom that are used by society at Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman, (3) describes function of  idiom and the function that  dominant idiom are used by society at  Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman. Therefore, types of research was choosed descriptive qualitative research method. Result of this research are found 75 idiom that is  full idiom  and idiom partly idioms are also grouped by such constituent words likes constituent words such as, idioms with parts of body, idioms with color, idiom as natural objects, idiom with the name of the beast, idioms with parts of plants, and idioms with the word number. Idiom works to (1) to satirize, (2) praise, (3) express anger, (4) expressing joy or affection, and (5) express sadness.
