Abstract

This article was written to (1) describing the form and used of greeting words in Melayu language based on lineage in Bangko kiri. (2) describing the form and used of greeting words in Melayu language based on marriage in Bangko Kiri. The data in this research consist of the idiom of language in sentence that followed by greeting words that’s belong there. The data has been collected by cakap method with pancing technique. The finding of this research is (1) the form and used of the greeting words based on patrilineal lineage, which are: there are sixteen form of greeting words that used for different ego. (2) Then there are twenty two the form of greeting words based on marriage line that has been use for different ego.

Abstract

This article was written to (1) to describe any kind of sentencein terms of syntactic form sobtained bythe child at age 3;0-4;0, and (2) describe patterns of sentences in terms of syntactic function obtained by children at age 3;0-4;0. The data of this study is the sentence that speech children aged 3;0-4;0. The data source of this research his the speech of children aged 3;0-4;0. Data obtained using methods refer to and supported by observation and recording techniques. Data obtained transcribed into written language, identified, classified, and then made conclusions. The findings of this study are the types of sentences in terms of syntactic forms found as many as four types of sentences and sentence patterns found in terms of syntactic function as much as 23 sentence patterns.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (1) to describe and analyze the categories of prohibition expressions and (2) to describe and analyze the social function of the prohibition expressions used in Lubuak Lubuak Sariak Kenagarian Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The data of this study is the expressions of prohibition in the language of Minangkabau. This research uses oral sources spoken by people in communication. The data is collected by using descriptive methods, recording techniques, and technical notes. The finding of this study is 90 prohibition expressions used by the people of Lubuak Sariak Kenagarian Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

This article aims to: (1) describe the pattern of a nickname based on the form used lingual Minangkabau ethnic communities shoreline South Coastal .; (2) describe the category nickname used by its reference Minangkabau ethnic communities shoreline South Coast; (3) describe the category nickname based on the sense used Minangkabau ethnic communities shoreline South Shore. Study the theory used in this research, among others; (1) The study of semantics; (2) Naming; (3) a nickname; (4) The connotative meanings; (5) understanding of proper names; (6) the Minangkabau language. This study found 152 nickname used by Minangkabau ethnic communities in the South Coast shoreline Pasisia. It can be concluded that in terms of form, found in two units lingual nickname: (1) the form of words and (2) are phrases, terms of reference unit forms lingual was formed on 9 reference / references a nickname in the form of (1) the physical condition , (2) behavior, (3) where / origin, (4) the name of the parents, (5) work, (6) status, (7) similarity, (8) mental condition, and (9) events, based on the value of taste found three grades flavors, namely (1) the value of the negative sense, (2) the value of a positive sense, and (3) value neutral flavor.Keywords: Naming, Minangkabau, tradition

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the Speech Acts illocutionary At the State Address of President Jokowi Date August 14, 2015.This study is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The main data in this study are speech-speech on a speech by President Jokowi containing illocutionary speech acts on the President's speech Jokowi dated August 14, 2015. The source of this research data is video of President Jokowi first official speech on August 14, 2015, which is downloaded via youtube. The instrument of this study is the researchers themselves. Data collected by the state address how to download video youtube President Jokowi through, listening to the speech of President Jokowi, President Jokowi and transcribe speech into written language.Examination of the validity of the data was done by using trilingulasi. Data analysis was done by (1) transcribe the recording data in written language, (2) classified based on the type of follow illocutionary speech, speech acts function, and the strategy says, in a speech by President Jokowi dated August 14, 2015, (3) analyzing the data that have been classified, (4) make the conclusion of the research results Based on data from this study, it was found 94 research data, the type of representative illocutionary speech act, directive, expressive, commissive, declaration. Illocutionary speech acts function is the function that is found fun and work. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the performance of communication effectiveness in terms of the use of the principle of cooperation in verbal communication by legislative officials and city level party leaders in West Sumatra. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data of this study are utterances used by legislative officials and city level party leaders in West Sumatra. Data is collected in the following way, (1) downloading video recordings in the form of speeches or interviews from legislative officials and city-level party leaders in West Sumatra from Youtube social media, (2) transcribing video recordings of city-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra, (3) observing and analyzing all utterances which are included in language performance and communication politeness, (4) giving code to data which is included in language performance and communication politeness. After all the data is collected, the data is then analyzed by the following steps, (1) identifying data in the form of videos containing interviews and speeches, (2) data then entered into the performance format using the principle of cooperation, (3) data grouped and inserted into part of the principle of cooperation, (4) matching data and giving opinions on data on the principle of cooperation, (5) concluding data included in the principle of cooperation. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that Indonesian Language Performance in Terms of Use of the Principles of Cooperation in Oral Communication by Legislative Officials and Party Leaders The City level in West Sumatra is dominated by the conformity of the cooperative principle of 73%.Keywords: communication, politeness, legislative officials, Youtube

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the shape and use of kinship and unkinship greeting words in the language Minangkabau villagers of Kampung Baru.The use of the word greeting kinship consists of greeting based on the nuclear family and the extended family based. Greetings unkinship include common greeting, occupation, religion, and customs. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The informants are two women and one man.Background this study is the village of Kampung Baru Pariaman Tengah District Pariaman Downtown. The instrument of this study is the researchers themselves to use a tape recorder, recording sheet, and stationery. The data collection method used in this study conversation with fishing techniques. Data validation study using triangulation techniques. Analyzing data of this research through the following steps: (1) a data inventory phase; (2) the stage of data classification; (3) the stage of data description. The results of this study as follows: found (1) 82 shapes and the use of the word greeting kinship, which consists of 22 forms of the word greeting kinship based on the nuclear family, 60 shapes and the use of the word greeting kinship based on the extended family. (2) 41 shapes and the use of the word greeting unkinship, namely, 11 shapes and the use of the word common greeting, 13 shapes and the use of the word greeting positions, 12 shapes and the use of the word religious greeting, five shapes and using the customary greeting. Implications of the use of the word greeting Minangkabau language in terms of kinship and unkinship greeting word still used in accordance with the politeness prevailing in society the village of Kampung Baru.Keywords: greeting words, kinship, unkinship, implication, languange    Minangkabau.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the performance of formal sentence structures in oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra, (2) standard vocabulary performance in verbal communication at district level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra, (3) the principle performance of courtesy in oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra; and (4) the performance of the principle of cooperation in the oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data of this study are the utterances of legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra in oral communication. The methods and data collection techniques used are the referral method, with advanced techniques, namely the note-taking technique. The technique of validating data is a detailed description technique, namely describing in detail the data to be interpreted. Data analysis methods and techniques are carried out by identifying data, transcribing, entering data into a format, classifying data, interpreting data, and concluding data. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded the following matters. (1) The performance of the use of formal sentence structures in oral communication of district legislators and party leaders in West Sumatra is quite sufficient (66%) of 150 data. West Sumatra is quite sufficient (66.7%) of 150 data. (3) The performance of the principle of manners in oral communication of legislative officials and party leaders at the district level in West Sumatra, the principle of courtesy is quite sufficient (67.3%) of 150 data. (4) The performance of the principle of cooperation in oral communication of legislative officials and district leaders in West Sumatra is classified as good (81.3%) of 150 data. Keywords: Performance, Oral Communication, Legislative Officials, Party Leaders

Abstract

This article was written to describe the Minangkabau language phonological system in Kenagarian Singkarak based on (1) the system of vowels, (2) consonant system, (3) diphthong, (4) distribution of vowels, consonants and diphthongs, (5) form syllables. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The data in this study were 200 basic vocabularies of Morris Swades and basic cultural vocabulary. The data was collected with basic techniques such “pancing” technique, followed by “cakap semuka” technique. The finding theMinangkabau language phonological system in Kenagarian Singkarak research is 5 vocal, 20 consonant, 4 phoneme diphthongs, distribution vocal complete, while distribution consonant consisting of 8 consonants complete and 12 incomplete and distribution diphthong incomplete and form syllables consisting a vowel (V), a vowel and a consonant (VC), a consonant and a vocal (CV) and a consonant, a vowel, a of consonants (CVC).   Kata Kunci: fonologi, vokal, konsonan, diftong,
