Abstract

The term wasaṭiyyah comes from the sentence "ummatan wasaṭan" in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 143, which reflects the character of fair and best Muslims. This concept has developed into religious moderation, emphasizing the values ​​of justice and balance. In Indonesia, the understanding of religious moderation is often debated, with pros and cons related to the meaning of wasaṭiyyah and indicators of moderation that are considered forced. Sayyid Qutb, in Tafsir Fī Ẓilāl Al-Qur'ān, provides a comprehensive interpretation of the verse. This study uses a qualitative method with a comparative analytical approach, relying on data from the Tafsir book and other secondary sources. The analysis was carried out with a hermeneutic approach to understand the context of the verse. The results of the study show six indicators of wasaṭiyyah, according to Sayyid Qutb, including aqidah, thought, law, social, place, and time. This concept is relevant to religious moderation in Indonesia, especially in national commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the methods and approaches of interpretation used by Abdurrahman bin Nashir As-Sa'di in the book Taysir al-Karim ar-Rahman fi Tafsir Kalami al-Mannan, especially in the interpretation of the letter Al-Qamar. This study is a qualitative study with a descriptive method, using primary data from the interpretation book and secondary data from related books and scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that As-Sa'di uses the bi al-ra'yi interpretation method with an ijmali approach. In most of his interpretations, he emphasizes the theological aspect (aqaidi), focusing on strengthening the creed and simple explanations that are easy for general readers to understand. Although he rarely cites narrations explicitly, As-Sa'di remains consistent with authentic sources in his interpretations. This study also identifies the advantages of As-Sa'di's interpretation method, namely explanations that are free from complexity and efforts to avoid disputes in the discourse of fiqh and kalam science, although As-Sa'di does not include many authoritative sources directly in his interpretations. This study recommends that a more in-depth study be conducted on the As-Sa'di interpretation method in a broader, deeper and more comprehensive manner to gain a complete understanding of the As-Sa'di interpretation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Saw. about the prohibition of getting tattooed. This research method is qualitative through the approach of takhrij and syarah hadith with chemical analysis. The results and discussion of this research is about the dangers of tattooing skin and plastic surgery because both processes use dangerous chemicals that can damage the body and are prohibited in Islam because they include activities that change Allah creation. The conclusion of this research is takhrij and syarah hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Saw. about the prohibition of being tattooed with chemical analysis which is a trend in the era of modern people's lifestyle.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of intellectual education and how to implement it in the PAI curriculum at the Elementary School (SD) level. The research procedure used in this study is library research, and uses qualitative methods. The data collection techniques in this study use documentation techniques. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, the author uses content analysis techniques. This study found that the concept of Intellectual Education in the PAI curriculum is an idea or idea that is structured in a curriculum document as a guide for educators in guiding, training and forming critical, logical, systematic and rational thinking skills, so that students develop into human beings who believe, are pious. , and have good character. The continuity of the PAI curriculum in containing the concept of reason education as an important part of character educators in the KBK, KTSP, and 2013 Curriculum, all of which are interconnected in their development and complement each other.

Abstract

Humans as creatures who have the title "the best form" is an affirmation of Allah SWT that He has created and made a complete spiritual and physical form. This event indicates that humans have basic potential that continues to develop biologically as well as their knowledge, so that humans are given the mandate to carry out two roles as well as the purpose of their presence, namely as khalifatullah and 'Abdullah on earth. However, the orientation of a Muslim's life is currently being hit by the development of a life style that follows trends and the pace of the times which results in the mingling of global ideologies, so that the basic human potential is no longer directed to achieving the essence of his presence as the representative of Allah (khalifatullah) and the servant of Allah ('Abdullah) in the world. earth. Thus, a study of basic human potential and how to develop it is needed in the order of life and human life. The purpose of this study is to discuss the basic potential of Muslim individuals in the Qur'an as a supporter of carrying out their roles as khalifatullah and 'abdullah on earth. This study applies a qualitative step. This research approach is human axiological aspect. The results and discussion of this research include the definition of human potential in the Qur'an, basic potential as eternal existence, and procedures for maximizing potential so that it can support the role of both humans as khalifatullah and 'abdullah. The conclusion of this study is that there are six approaches that are considered capable of activating human potential, in order to achieve awareness of the role and purpose of presence in this universal reality, namely social, moral, philosophical, chronological, meditation, and functional approaches.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenges faced by class X-2 students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Jawami Cileunyi, Bandung, characterized by low proficiency in speaking Arabic. This issue stems from students' perception that Arabic is difficult and monotonous, compounded by the limited use of diverse teaching media during Arabic instruction. To overcome this, the researcher applied a cooperative learning model of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) type, incorporating Kokami media. The study aimed to evaluate students' Arabic speaking skills before and after implementing this model and to analyze the level of improvement achieved. In this study using a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design, the findings revealed that students' initial speaking skills were low. However, after employing the TGT model with Kokami media, their speaking skills improved significantly, reaching an average score of 76.85, categorized as good (70-79). The improvement rate of 0.05 or 50% indicates a moderate enhancement level. These results underscore the effectiveness of integrating cooperative learning with engaging media in improving speaking skills. The study implies that innovative teaching strategies can address motivational and skill-related barriers in language learning. Future research should explore the long-term effects of similar models, adapt them for other language skills, and investigate their application in diverse educational contexts to refine further and generalize these findings.

Abstract

Islamic education in the 2nd century Hijriyah played a crucial role in shaping the sustainable Islamic educational system that continues to this day. During this period, prominent Muslim scholars such as Abu Hanifah, Malik bin Anas, and Al-Shafi’i formulated educational concepts based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, which later developed in educational institutions such as halaqah and early madrasas. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic educational theories from the 2nd century Hijriyah in the development of contemporary education systems. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this research examines the educational principles applied in that era and their contributions to modern learning systems. The findings indicate that key principles, such as value-based education, interactive discussion methods, and the integration of religious and secular sciences, remain relevant to contemporary educational challenges. This article contributes by linking the history of Islamic educational thought with the demands of a more holistic and value-based modern education system.

Abstract

Methodological studies within the scope of interpretation are an inseparable study. Because the methodology of interpretation develops according to the development of the interpretation itself. In the archipelago there are two books of commentary that are quite important to study, namely Tafsir Turjaman al Mustafid (classic) and Tafsir Quran Karim by Mahmud Yunus (modern). Departing from this matter, the research will seek to reveal the specific methodology of the interpretation. This study uses a descriptive analysis method with the use of qualitative types. While the data collection techniques using library research techniques. The results of this study reveal the specific methodology between the two interpretations, namely, First, Tafsir Turjaman al Mustafid Abd Rauf there are (1) fadhilah or virtues in the letter, (2) the meaning of the verse by ijmalli, (3) variations of qira'at, (4 ) asbab nuzul and, (5) quoted the opinion of the mufassir. Second, Tafsir Quran Karim by Mahmud Yunus contains (1) editorial translation, (2) global interpretation, (3) includes asbab nuzul, (4) mufradat explanation, (5) linguistic approach and, (6) ibrah or lessons contained in a verse.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan ekonomi menjadi salah satu hal penting untuk menjaga stabilitas kehidupan. Maka, dibutuhkan formula baru yang bersifat konstruktif dan variatif berupa strategi pemberdayaan ekonomi umat secara khusus, yakni dengan menggunakan perspektif Al-Qur’an melalui kisah Nabi Yusuf AS pada QS. Yusuf ayat 46 hingga 49. Penulisan karya ini menggunakan teknik kualitatif serta metode maudhu'i. Tulisan ini secara implisit menyimpulkan bahwa Melalui pesan hikmah dalam Al-Qur’an, Islam memberi tahu setiap Muslim tentang kemampuan digitalpreneur dengan meningkatkan ide dan kapabilitas terkait digitalisasi untuk melahirkan formula atau produk baru, baik berupa barang, makanan, aplikasi, ataupun produk lainnya. Kemudian, manfaatkan kekuatan era digital untuk meningkatkan layanan zakat melalui digitalisasi sebagai layanan utama yang baik, seperti halnya layanan zakat melalui aplikasi yang bernama BAZUTAKWA atau BAZNAS untuk kesejahteraan warga, serta menghilangkan sikap hedonis yang dapat menyebabkan umat kurang peka terhadap situasi sosial dan ekonominya dengan menghadirkan program khusus tentang penyuluhan kemapanan ekonomi tentang urgensi hidup hemat oleh pemegang kebijakan. Kekurangan dari tulisan ini ialah hanya membahas pemberdayaan ekonomi dalam Al-Qur’an semata. Dalam tulisan-tulisan berikutnya, studi ini menyarankan untuk beralih ke literatur tafsir Al-Qur’an lainnya sebagai solusi untuk mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip pemberdayaan ekonomi dalam agama Islam.

Abstract

This paper aims to delve deeper into legal interpretation (Tafsir Hukmi) by examining the history of the emergence of legal approaches in the interpretation of the Quran, defining the scope of the term, exploring debates among scholars, and providing examples of Quranic exegesis books adopting legal approaches. The research methodology used is a literature-based descriptive analysis with a historical and exegetical perspective. The results of the study show that legal interpretation (Tafsir Hukmi) is one of the Quranic interpretation styles that employ legal theories and approaches. This approach has its roots dating back to the time of Prophet Muhammad and continued to evolve with the emergence of the school of jurisprudence (Imam Madzhab) scholars who had varying interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence. The scope of the term “Tafsir Hukmi” encompasses discussions related to the Islamic legal laws in the Quran. Quranic exegesis books following the legal approach can be found within various schools of thought, including Shia Imamiyah, Shia Zaidiyah, Maliki, Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafi'i, and Zahiri.
