Abstract

Optimizing AC system performance is important to optimize energy consumption, especially at partial load. The aim of this research is to obtain a performance model of the central AC system based on its operational conditions which include environmental air conditions, heat load conditions and other operational parameters, so that the performance of the AC system can be optimized which includes cooling capacity, power consumption and energy efficiency ratio. Data is obtained by experiment, then analyzed by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to obtain optimal system performance. This research resulted in models of AC performance with coefficient of correlation (R2) of 0.9745, 0.2041 and 0.8965 for cooling capacity, power consumption and EER respectively. By analysis of varians for models, it is obtained that Model F-values are 9920.83, 313.45, and 2245.59 for cooling capacity, power and EER respectively, and implied that the models are significant. The Adequate precision ratios were 1078.33, 93.08, and 344.32 for those parameters respectively, and indicated the adequate signals. The optimum results obtained were a cooling capacity of 46.7 kW, compressor power consumption of 4.48 kW, and an energy efficiency ratio of 8.5. Abstract

Bangsa Indonesia terdiri dari 1.340 suku yang tersebar di 17.504 pulau yang dibingkai oleh “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”. Salah satu yang merajut dengan apik keberagaman suku bangsa di Nusantara ialah Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mencari jejak aktor yang menyebarkan agama Islam sejak ratusan tahun yang lalu di suku Mandar khususnya di Kabupaten Majene. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei benda-benda arkeologi untuk melihat bentuk, ruang, dan waktu, kemudian mengklasifikasi dan menginterpretasikan temuan artefak yang terkait dengan topik. Di dapat pola persebaran makam para ulama di Banggae yakni makam ulama Syekh Abd. Manan dan Tuan Dicolang, di wilayah Pamboang terdapat makam Suryodilogo dan Syekh Muhammad Ali, sedangkan di Sendana ada makam Syekh Zakaria, Tuan Dimelayu, dan Tosalama di Salobulo yang bernama Syekh Syain. Para ulama perintis agama Islam berhasil menjadi perekat suku bangsa dan menjadikan Islam sebagai identitas komunal bagi suku Mandar, serta menjadi motor penggerak dalam kehidupan sosial ekonomi dan budaya

Abstract

The U building is the college building for the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Bandung State Polytechnic. However, during the afternoon teaching, the third floor is often complained of feeling hot and disrupting the teaching and learning process. This is caused by the size of the window on the third floor is too large and does not use any shade. This research was conducted to determine the OTTV value of the existing U Building and then investigate the potential for improving the OTTV value by changing window glass materials or adding shading such as window film. This study used primary and secondary data collection methods. The primary data consisted of: building dimensions, glass dimensions, door dimensions, ambient temperature, inside temperature, wall and glass surface temperatures, and glass types. Meanwhile, some secondary data, namely building U as built drawings, wall specifications, and glass specifications used. It was found that the existing OTTV value of the Lecture U Building reached 39.78 W/m2 where this value was above the SNI 03-6389 2011 standard. By investigating the installation of shading such as window film and double glass it was possible to minimize the building's OTTV value to 36.78 W/m2 for window film and 33.86 W/m2 for the addition of double glass accompanied by window film.

Abstract

Abstract This community service program aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bakit Village by improving product identity and utilizing simple technology. The activity focused on Mrs. Yul’s bread business, which previously had a label but lacked attractiveness due to design limitations. The methods used included an initial survey to identify business potential and challenges, direct mentoring in creating a new logo with a simple design application, and socialization to provide knowledge on branding and digital promotion. The results indicated that the new and more representative logo strengthened the product identity and enhanced its visual appeal, while the socialization activities increased MSME actors’ understanding of promotional strategies and technology-based business development. This program demonstrates that simple improvements through branding and digital utilization can serve as an initial step to enhance the image, competitiveness, and sustainability of local MSMEs. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendukung pemberdayaan UMKM di Desa Bakit melalui peningkatan identitas produk dan pemanfaatan teknologi sederhana. Fokus pendampingan diberikan pada usaha roti milik Ibu Yul yang sebelumnya telah memiliki label, namun tampilannya masih sederhana dan kurang menarik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei awal untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan kendala usaha, pendampingan langsung dalam pembuatan logo baru menggunakan aplikasi desain sederhana, serta sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya branding dan pemanfaatan media promosi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa logo baru yang lebih representatif mampu memperkuat identitas produk dan meningkatkan daya tarik visual, sementara sosialisasi memberikan pemahaman bagi pelaku UMKM mengenai strategi promosi dan pengembangan usaha berbasis teknologi. Pendampingan ini membuktikan bahwa perbaikan sederhana melalui branding dan teknologi digital dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan citra, daya saing, serta keberlanjutan UMKM lokal.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri hidroponik di Indonesia berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran terhadap efisiensi lahan dan ketahanan pangan. Namun, cuaca iklim tropis yang berfluktuasi dapat dengan mudah mempengaruhi temperatur air nutrisi, khususnya untuk sistem yang disimpan di dalam green house. Berbagai studi terkait hidroponik, menunjukkan temperatur air nutrisi berpengaruh bagi pertumbuhan tanaman, penyerapan nutrisi, dan kualitas hasil panen, sehingga potensi ini patut dipertimbangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan teknologi pasif yang ekonomis dan efektif saat diterapkan untuk mempertahankan temperatur larutan nutrien hidroponik yang sudah dikondisikan. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu dengan melakukan pengujian perbandingan kepada dua jenis material bejana High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) dan Polipropilen (PP) yang dikombinasikan dengan insulasi jenis Fiberglass, Poliuretan (PU), dan Glasswool. Pengujian dilakukan di dalam lingkungan green house selama lima hari. Didapatkan bejana HDPE memiliki koefisien konveksi air lebih rendah (186,82 W/m²·K) dibandingkan bejana PP (199,01 W/m²·K), sehingga lebih mampu menahan perubahan temperatur air dingin. Adapun, jenis insulasi yang mampu menjaga kenaikan temperatur air terbaik dibandingkan kondisi tanpa insulasi (maksimal 3,25°C) adalah Glasswool. Secara keseluruhan, kombinasi bejana HDPE - Glasswool memberikan performa terbaik dalam mempertahankan temperatur air dingin  dengan daya tolak panas hingga sebesar 43,91 Watt di saat temperatur lingkungan harian tertinggi.

Abstract

Provinsi Riau merupakan daerah penghasil kelapa sawit terbesar di Negara Indonesia. Namun, dalam praktiknya terdapat berbagai permasalahan hukum. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan desentralisasi regulasi kelapa sawit di Provinsi Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan. Permasalahan hukum dalam industri kelapa sawit antara lain yaitu perizinan usaha perkebunan dan pabrik kelapa sawit, hutan dan pelepasan kawasan hutan, konflik dengan masyarakat lokal, limbah pabrik kelapa sawit, serta tanggung jawab sosial dan lingkungan perusahaan. Regulasi yang mengatur mengenai kelapa sawit sangat banyak dan tersebar di beberapa Kementerian hingga ke Pemerintah Daerah, sehingga seringkali terjadi tumpang-tindih kewenangan. Belum ada kodifikasi peraturan perundang-undangan tentang kelapa sawit. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan desentralisasi regulasi kelapa sawit agar menjamin kepastian hukum bagi pelaku usaha kelapa sawit di Provinsi Riau.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep, urgensi, dan penerapan Kode Etik Guru Indonesia melalui pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis peran kode etik dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme, integritas, dan mutu pendidikan berdasarkan kajian literatur. Data diperoleh dari buku, artikel ilmiah, jurnal, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan dokumen resmi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kode etik berfungsi sebagai pedoman moral dan profesional yang mengatur tanggung jawab guru terhadap peserta didik, orang tua, rekan sejawat, lembaga pendidikan, dan masyarakat. Penerapan kode etik memperkuat karakter moral guru, meningkatkan praktik pedagogik, mencegah pelanggaran etika, serta mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan antara prinsip ideal dan implementasi di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang mendalam dan penerapan yang konsisten sangat diperlukan untuk membangun budaya pendidikan yang profesional dan berintegritas.

Abstract

Noise is one of the most common physical hazards in industrial environments and may adversely affect both health and workplace comfort. This study aims to analyze noise intensity during production processes and its impact on workers’ comfort perception at compressor manufacturing plant, as well as to estimate the potential risk of permanent hearing loss using the Noise-Induced Permanent Threshold Shift (NIPTS) method based on ISO 1999:2013. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, consisting of noise measurements at five production points over three working days and the distribution of questionnaires to 31 respondents to assess perceptions regarding comfort, communication disturbance, concentration, and physical complaints. The results indicated that noise intensity in several areas, particularly frame manufacturing and sandblasting, exceeded the threshold limit of 85 dB(A), with the highest level reaching 117.6 dB(A). NIPTS calculations showed that workers in these areas were at high risk of permanent threshold shifts, with values ranging from 31.28 to 69.77. In contrast, the bending machine area presented noise levels closer to the threshold, with relatively low NIPTS values (0.30–0.71), suggesting a lower risk of long-term auditory impairment. Questionnaire results revealed that 50% of workers perceived noise levels as severe, 29.2% as moderate, and 20.8% as mild. The majority also reported that noise slightly interfered with their concentration and comfort, although most were able to adapt to the working conditions. In conclusion, noise exposure in the production environment of compressors manufacturing plant poses both auditory and non-auditory health risks. Therefore, comprehensive noise control strategies, including engineering modifications, administrative measures, and consistent use of personal protective equipment, are required to safeguard workers’ health and support sustainable productivity.

Abstract

Donggi Senoro LNG, sebuah produsen dan eksportir LNG terkemuka di Indonesia, telah menegaskan komitmennya terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) sesuai dengan visi perusahaan sebagai penyedia LNG yang aman dan terpercaya. Dalam konteks infrastruktur pengapalan LNG yang krusial, seperti jetty fender, perlindungan kapal dan struktur jetty dari kerusakan selama proses labuh menjadi perhatian utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis risiko keselamatan kerja terkait penggantian Jetty Fender menggunakan metode Bowtie. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 21 aktivitas berpotensi risiko dan 4 risiko prioritas, termasuk potensi kebakaran dan ledakan, personil terjepit, tertimpa material atau peralatan, serta terjatuh ke laut. Rekomendasi pengendalian yang diusulkan mencakup inspeksi peralatan, detektor kebocoran, serta koordinasi tim guna memperkuat aspek keamanan. Dengan pendekatan yang terintegrasi, termasuk instruksi kerja yang komprehensif dan pelatihan yang tepat, PT. Donggi Senoro LNG berkomitmen menjadikan keselamatan kerja sebagai prioritas utama selama proyek penggantian Jetty Fender, sejalan dengan visi perusahaan sebagai penyedia LNG yang aman dan terpercaya.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the nature of the prohibition on defecating facing or facing away from the Qibla normatively, identify its urgency in the formation of character and spatial orientation of Muslims, and explore its multidimensional wisdom through the approach of astronomy and modern science. The method used is qualitative library research with data sources from classical fiqh literature, hadith, and scientific astronomy journals. The data is analyzed descriptively and analytically by integrating Islamic law approaches and astronomical calculations (spherical trigonometry and the WGS-84 geodetic model). The results of the study indicate that: First, this prohibition is based on authentic hadith as a form of ta'zhim al-qiblah (respect for the Qibla), where the majority of scholars agree that it is haram in open spaces (fadha') and provide leniency (rukhsah) in buildings with barriers. Second, spiritually and technically, this provision functions as an instrument for character formation and awareness of spatial orientation (spatial awareness), as well as being a guide for modern architecture in balancing normative texts with the reality of building design. Third, from an astronomical perspective, this prohibition encourages the integration of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and science through the use of GPS technology and the ellipsoidal Earth model for directional accuracy. This aligns with the Maqasid al-Shariah values ​​of protecting reason and the environment, transforming ritual observance into an applicable scientific understanding.
