Abstract

The fifth generation (5G) architecture represents the most recent advancement in mobile networks and is presently operational in various global places. Several new use cases and applications have been introduced, with a specific focus on improving throughput, reducing latency, minimising packet loss, optimising CPU usage, and maximising memory utilisation. In order to effectively address each scenario, it is necessary to integrate the most advanced technology, putting in significant effort to optimise resources and ensure system adaptability. This strategy will establish an architecture capable of accommodating many scenarios of a shared physical infrastructure by using techniques such as virtualization and cloud-based service deployment. Therefore, in this study, a test was carried out related to the performance of the 5G core network (CN) on bare metal servers and virtual private servers (VPSs). The quality of service (QoS) using Wireshark and Iperf3 is tested by utilizing ‘cpustat’ and free tools. The results of performance comparisons of these two methods on the 5G CN shows throughput values of ≥10 Gbps ≤20 Gbps, latency values of ≤4 ms, and packet loss values of 0%, in accordance with IMT 2020 standards. Thus, the ideal 5G CN services can be realized.

Abstract

The form manifestation of the omnibus law form is Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Copyright. The law on telecommunications relating to Main Licensing and Technical Licensing has undergone significant changes. Implementing the licensing process requires changes and a common perspective in understanding the articles associated with the licensing process, especially in telecommunications. The problem experienced is that several articles in the omnibus law regarding licensing for the operation of telecommunications networks still need to be clarified, which can potentially cause different perceptions among stakeholders. This study uses a normative juridical analysis method using primary law to analyze the problems that are the focus of the research. The conclusion drawn from this research is the need to clarify the articles in Law 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and its derivative regulations regarding procedures for telecommunications operations other than those that already exist, which a Ministerial Decree can stipulate. There needs to be clarity in the rules regarding risk-based business licensing regarding how long the essential and technical licensing process takes and the need to attach a licensing SOP flowchart so that licensing stakeholders have the same perception of the licensing process.

Abstract

Abstract

Frequency spectrum is a limited resource that is strictly determined by static spectrum policy. As every part of the spectrum is already allocated to several certain services, only a portion can be obtained. On the other hand, as the user’s demand for reliable communication systems is increasing rapidly, a new paradigm of communication systems is needed. It is compulsory for existing spectrum can handle the increasing number of users, as cognitive radio technology could well address this issue. One crucial key of this technology is its power control. In this paper, the power control based on a feasible solution is studied. The PU has fixed power, the SU power is controlled using the power control method. The non-negative power vector is limited by the initial power . The output parameters of this simulation are the FSPC effect to the performance of SU and PU, the SU’s  impact on the feasible solution, and the feasible solution probability. In the  constraint, the PU SIR  rises from 14 dB to 22 dB upon implementing a FSPC. The PU SIR is contrary to the SIR of SU. When the target of the SU’s SIR is increased, the SIR value of the PU is decreased. As well as when the  value of the SU increases, the greater the SIR of the SU, the lower the SIR of the PU. If the power control is feasible, both PU and SU can simultaneously meet the target SIR. Considering the primary user's (PU) power remains fixed, the PU, as the main user, can determine its own power without being influenced by the SU power.
