The aims of this study are to describe the learning process in animal structure courses and learning outcomes obtained by students of Biology Education Study Program, Teachers Training and Education Faculty, Siliwangi University Tasikmalaya after attending lectures. The research method used is survey data collection using a questionnaire. As many as 60 students who have attended and graduated in animal structure lectures in the 4th semester of the 2014/2015 academic year were used as research samples. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique from a population of 90 students. Then the data obtained is processed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that students have an interest in animal structure courses, especially in practical activities. The implementation of learning in animal structure courses has not been carried out optimally. The indication is from the non-socialization of the learning model used by lecturers which has an impact on various generic skills that are not maximally trained and developed.

Self-regulated learning is a constructive process that is active in setting learning goals. This ability should be possessed by every individual to become a successful learner. Another thing that students must have to be successful in the process and learning outcomes are learning motivation. This study aims to determine the correlation between learning motivation with self-regulated learning in grade X MIPA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya City. This research was conducted in April 2019. The research method used was correlational with a population of all class X MIPA 9 students as many as 30 people. Samples were taken using a saturated sampling technique so that the entire population was sampled. The research instrument used in this study is the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), which consists of 2 parts, namely motivational beliefs and self-regulated learning strategies. The data analysis technique used is the bivariate correlation regression test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a strong correlation (R = 0.761; R2 = 0.580) between learning motivation and self-regulated learning. The contribution of learning motivation to self-regulated learning is 58%.

Background: Various factors can support efforts to improve student learning outcomes, including generic science skills and scientific attitudes. The study aims to determine the correlation between generic science skills and scientific attitudes on student learning outcomes. Methods: This research is a correlational study using a dual paradigm design with two independent variables. The sample was that used was 60 people who came from 11th grade of Science Program. Result: The result of this research is that there is a strong and very significant correlation between generic science skills and scientific attitudes towards learning outcomes. This is supported by the data analysis results, namely a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.623. Conclusion: It could be concluded that generic science skills and scientific attitudes contribute to improving student learning outcomes because students who have generic science skills and an excellent scientific attitude will get optimum learning outcomes. Therefore, generic science skills and scientific attitudes that exist in students must continue to be trained and developed.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh problem based learrning berstrategi metakognitif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Sindangkasih Kab. Ciamis pada sub konsep mekanisme pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2018 sampai dengan bulan Mei 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Sindangkasih Kabupaten Ciamis sebanyak 5 kelas dan sampel yang digunakan dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar pada sub konsep mekanisme pernapasan manusia. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh problem based learning berstrategi metakognitif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik Kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Sindangkasih, Kab.Ciamis pada sub konsep mekanisme pernapasan manusia.

Penting bagi peserta didik untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis. Dengan berpikir kritis peserta didik mampu menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan dalam kehidupan. Namun dalam proses pembelajarannya, kemampuan berpikir kritis belum diberdayakan secara maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada model pembelajaran Reading, Questioning, Answering (RQA) pada sub konsep Sistem Saraf Manusia di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2018 sampai dengan bulan Juli 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental dengan bentuk pretest and posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri Tasikmalaya sebanyak 5 kelas, dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 173 orang. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak dua kelas yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik berbentuk esai yang terdiri dari 20 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dengan taraf signifikan (α) = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan thitung = 4,00 berada di daerah penolakan H0. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada model pembelajaran RQA pada sub konsep Sistem Saraf Manusia di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri Kota Tasikmalaya.

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-regulated learning of students in biology subjects in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. The research method used is a correlation. The population in this study was the entire class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya, amounting to 272 students. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique as many as two classes, namely class XI MIPA 6 and XI MIPA 7 with 39 students who filled out the questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a simple correlation test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and students' self-regulated learning. For the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-regulated learning, R is 0.568, which means it has a moderate level of relationship. The coefficient of determination of the emotional intelligence variable on the self-regulated learning variable is R2, which is 0.322, which means that the emotional intelligence variable contributes 32.3% to the self-regulated learning of students. Method, one of them by counseling approach of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) using guided imagery technique.

This research aims to find out the relationship between critical thinking skills and students' decision-making skills on viral material in MAN 1 Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method used is correlational. The population in this study was all students of class X MIPA consisting of 8 classes. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with samples class X MIPA 3, X MIPA 4, and X MIPA 5 with 107 students. Data collection techniques using instruments in the form of tests. The research instrument used in this study consists of two instruments, namely critical thinking skills instruments in the form of a question in the form of a description, as many as ten questions with five indicators. For the instrument of decision-making skills in the form of a question in the form of a description, as many as 12 questions with five indicators. The data analysis technique used is a bivariate correlation test. Based on the results of research shows that critical thinking skills have a weak relationship with decision-making skills. This is evidenced by a correlation coefficient value of 0.208 with a determination coefficient value of 4.3%. Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, Decision Making Skills, Virus Material.

The aimed of the research was to know the differences of students’ achievements using mind map and concept map on environmental pollution material in VII grade of MTs Al-Ma’rufi Kota Tasikmalaya at 2015/2016 academic year. The method used in this research was pre experimental design. The sample is used in the research which taken by total sampling technique as much as two class, class VII A which consist of 22 students used concept map and class VII B which consist of 23 student used mind map. The instrument in this research is test which consist of 40 multiple choice with 4 options of enviromental pollution material. The research concluded that there was the difference of students’ achievements using mind map and concept map on environmental pollution material in VII grade of MTs Al-Ma’rufi Kota Tasikmalaya at 2015/2016 academic year. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang proses pembelajarannya menggunakan media mind map dengan concept map pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas VII MTs Al-Ma’rufi Kota Tasikmalaya tahun ajar 2015/2016. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimental . Sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling (seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel), yaitu di kelas VII A sebanyak 22 orang menggunakan media concept map dan di kelas VII B sebanyak 23 orang menggunakan media mind map. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa pilihan majemuk sebanyak 40 butir soal dengan empat option materi Pencemaran Lingkungan. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang proses pembelajarannya menggunakan media mind map dan concept map pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas VII MTs Al-Ma’rufi Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Biology subjects are included in science subjects, while students have difficulty solving problems because they are less able to think flexibly when receiving new information. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive flexibility and problem solving skills (KPM) in biology subjects in class X MIA 1 MAN Kota Tasikmalaya. This research was conducted from October to November 2020. The research method used was correlational with a total population of 3 class X MIA students with a total of 86 students. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique of 1 class (28 people). The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between cognitive flexibility and problem solving skills (R = 0.840; R2 = 0.706). Has a relationship strength of 0.840 and a contribution of cognitive flexibility to problem solving skills by 70.6%. Mata pelajaran biologi termasuk ke dalam mata pelajaran sains namun peserta didik kesulitan memecahkan masalah karena kurang bisa berpikir secara fleksibel saat menerima informasi baru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fleksibilitas kognitif dengan keterampilan pemecahan masalah (KPM) pada mata pelajaran biologi di kelas X MIA 1 MAN Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan oktober sampai bulan november 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIA sebanyak 3 kelas dengan jumlah peserta didik 86 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 1 kelas (28 orang). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara fleksibilitas kognitif dengan keterampilan pemecahan masalah (R = 0,840; R2 = 0,706). Memiliki kekuatan hubungan sebesar 0,840 dan kontribusi dari fleksibilitas kognitif terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah sebesar 70.6%. Literasi sains adalah kemampuan individu untuk mencurahkan perhatian pada topik-topik yang terkait sains dan gagasan-gagasan sains sebagai wujud refleksi individu. Literasi sains penting dimiliki agar peserta didik mampu memenuhi berbagai tuntutan zaman yaitu menjadi problem solver. Hal penting lain yang harus dimiliki selain literasi sains yaitu self efficacy (keyakinan diri). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self efficacy dengan literasi sains pada materi ekosistem di SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua peserta didik kelas X yang terdiri dari 8 kelas. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan sampel kelas X MIPA 6 dan X MIPA 7 dengan jumlah 60 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 instrumen yaitu instrumen self efficacy yang peneliti buat sendiri dengan indikator yang dikemukakan oleh Albert Bandura yaitu magnitude,strength dan generality. Untuk instrumen literasi sainsnya diadopsi dari penelitian Novianur dengan indikator yang dikemukakan PISA yaitu mengidentifikasi permasalahan ilmiah, menjelaskan fenomena alam secara ilmiah, menggunakan bukti ilmiah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi bivariat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan literasi sains. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,749 dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 56,2%.
