Abstract

Sports organization management plays a strategic role in developing the achievements of regional athletes, particularly in soccer, which requires a sustainable training system. This study aims to analyze the organizational management of the Askab PSSI (Soccer Association of Indonesian Football Associations) in Malaka Regency in developing the achievements of regional athletes. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with Askab PSSI administrators, coaches, and PS Malaka athletes. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Askab PSSI management in Malaka Regency has implemented planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising functions in athlete development, but still faces obstacles in funding, infrastructure, and program continuity. These findings confirm that structured and sustainable sports organization management contributes to improving the achievements of regional athletes. This research provides practical implications for regional sports organization managers in optimizing athlete management training systems

Abstract

This research aims to develop a physical education teaching model for elementary school students to develop and improve physical fitness with sportsmanship characteristics. This research was carried out because of students' difficulties participating in physical education lessons, and students tend to spend time playing on gadgets and online games. Physical education learning is part of the overall educational process, aiming to improve human performance through physical activity to develop and maintain the body. Based on these problems, researchers are increasingly confident in innovating by developing a traditional game model, 'Etu' (Traditional Boxing), to improve physical fitness with sportsmanship characteristics in elementary school students in Nagekeo district, East Nusa Tenggara. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D), which is used to develop the traditional game model 'Etu' (Traditional Boxing) to improve physical fitness with sportsmanship characteristics. The R&D research used by researchers is the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry. The ADDIE model consists of 5 development stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research results from research on developing the traditional Etu (traditional boxing) game model to improve physical fitness characterized by sportsmanship as a learning model equipped with a guidebook. After the physical education learning research products are validated by experts, they are suitable for a physical education lesson. It is a learning model that develops and improves the physical fitness and sportsmanship character of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of arm muscle strength training on underarm passing skills in volleyball for upper-grade male students at Maubeli Elementary School, North Central Timor Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population and sample size were 20 students (total sampling). The treatment, arm muscle strength training, was given in a structured manner over five sessions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, residual normality tests, and simple linear regression. The results showed a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.458 and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.210, indicating that 21.0% of the variation in underarm passing skills was influenced by arm muscle strength. The ANOVA test showed F count = 4.774 with Sig. = 0.042 (<0.05), indicating that arm muscle strength training significantly influenced underarm passing skills. The regression equation obtained was Y = 0.080 + 0.683X. These findings confirm that an arm muscle strength training program can be used as a physical education (PJOK) learning strategy to improve the quality of basic volleyball underarm passing techniques in elementary school students. Keywords: Arm muscles, strength training, underhand passing, volleyball, elementary school students

Abstract

The forward roll skill among primary school pupils remains relatively low, as some pupils experience difficulties with the movement sequence, lack flexibility, and feel anxious when performing the movement. This study aims to improve the forward roll skill among Year 5 pupils at Maol State Primary School through the use of an inclined mat as an aid. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles, each comprising the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 25 pupils. Data were collected through observation of pupil activities and forward roll skill tests using a psychomotor assessment rubric, and were subsequently analysed descriptively to assess improvements in learning outcomes across each cycle. The results of the study indicate that the use of the inclined mat was effective in improving students’ forward roll skills. In cycle I, an average score of 73.08 was obtained with a mastery rate of 56%, whilst in cycle II this increased to an average of 78.40 with a mastery rate of 80%, thus exceeding the research target of at least 75% of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the use of the inclined mat also helped to reduce fear and boost students’ confidence when performing the movement
