Abstract

The mathematical connection is one of the competencies in NCTM that students need to have. Mathematical connections can help students understand material and mathematical concepts easily. In addition, mathematical connections can help students in solving mathematical problems. Even so, mathematical connection errors are still made by some students. Mathematical connection errors made by students when solving geometry problems, especially about a circle. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical connection errors made by students in solving problems adapted from PISA problems focusing on circle material. This research method is descriptive-qualitative. Prospective subjects are 20 of 8th-grade students in one of the junior high schools in Malang who have studied about a circle. Based on the distribution of answers, two subjects were selected in this study. After going through the interview process, the data obtained in the form of work results and interview transcripts. Based on the results of research, mathematical connection errors made by research subjects in the form of not being able to use mathematics in mathematical problems; can't find connections between topics in mathematics; unable to understand the representation of concepts in mathematical problems, and draw relationships between procedures on mathematical problems

Abstract

Metacognition is one aspect that supports individual success in solving mathematical proof problems because using metacognition when solving problems will produce effective results. This research aims to collect information about students' metacognition in solving mathematical proof problems. This research applies a qualitative  escriptive approach. There were 30 Mathematics Education students involved in this research from Universitas Negeri Malang. The way to obtain data in this research uses a mathematical proof test and interviews. The results obtained from this research reveal that the metacognition experienced by students consists of awareness, regulation, and evaluation. However, the metacognitive activities of the first student were different from other students. This is because each individual’s metacognition is different even though both have the same problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memunculkan kearifan budaya yang perlahan mulai terlupakan oleh masyarakat sebagai akibat dari perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan motif tenunan kalangkafu’, kamaihiang & kanai yang digunakan masyarakat Kampung Adat Takpala dari sudut pandang matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi dimana data diperoleh berdasarkan dokumentasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam membuat tenunan hingga pada penjualannya masyarakat telah menerapkan etnomatematika diantaranya representasi bentuk belah ketupat, bilangan polindromik, kesebangunan, dan logika matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical creativity of college students with extrovert-introvert personality types based on creativity indikators in solving geometry problems. The research approach and design uses a quantitative approach with cross sectional design. The research subject were 67 college students of state University of Malang in Mathematics Department semester 2, 4, and 6. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and tests. The results showed that: (1) the college students ability of extroverted personality type to produce diverse solutions (fluency) and generate diverse ideas (flexibility) increased in semester 2, 4, and 6. Meanwhile, all college students in semester 2, 4, and 6 not produce new solutions or ideas (novelty). (2) the college students ability of introverted personality type to produce diverse solutions (fluency) decreases in semester 6. The college students ability to generate diverse ideas (flexibility) increases in semester 2, 4, and 6. Meanwhile, the college students ability to produce new solutions or ideas (novelty) increases in semester 6.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran matematika dikarenakan ketika siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik maka akan mampu mentransfer kemampuan pemecahan masalahnya dalam memecahkan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses pemecahan masalah siswa berdasarkan tahapan Polya ditinjau dari kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan diikuti oleh 58 siswa di SMPN 1 Tajinan yakni 32 siswa dari kelas XI A dan 29 siswa dari XI B. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu tiga siswa yang terdiri dari satu siswa kecerdasan emosional tinggi, satu siswa kecerdasan emosional sedang dan satu siswa kecerdasan emosional rendah. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket kecerdasan emosional, tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh Siswa dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi mampu dalam semua tahap pemecahan masalah yaitu memahami masalah, membuat rencana, melaksanakan rencana, melihat kembali. Subjek dengan kecerdasan emosional sedang hanya mampu dalam tahap memahami masalah dan belum memenuhi tahap membuat rencana, melaksanakan rencana, melihat kembali. Sedangkan Subjek dengan dengan kecerdasan emosional rendah tidak mampu memenuhi semua aspek yakni memahami masalah, membuat rencana, melaksanakan rencana, melihat kembali

Abstract

This approach focuses on students' thinking procedures. This study aims to describe the obstacles of students in innovative learning using Kahoot! in solving mathematics problems according to Robert Gagne's theory. Information processing theory explains how information is received, processed, and stored in memory, where difficulties can arise at each stage, such as limited short-term memory capacity and problems in encoding information into long-term memory. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and group discussions. The subjects in this study were all OFF G mathematics students in semester 1 at Malang State University in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 30 students. The data obtained in this study were written tests in the form of questions on the material of composition functions and inverse functions and interview guidelines. The research results indicate that: (1) students experience obstacles related to understanding each procedure for solving mathematics problems, concepts, procedures, or principles for working on mathematics problems, and (2) the trigger for students' limitations in learning mathematics is the lack of motivation from students to access information that they do not understand.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the mistakes made by grade 10 students at SMA Hati Bilingual Boarding School Probolinggo in solving HOTS questions on exponential equations and their scaffolding. This study used qualitative research methods. The subjects of this research were four students with different types of errors. The results of the research show that the basic error type is mostly made because students do not understand the meaning and concept of solving problems. Apart from that, students also make other types of errors, namely the appropriate error type because students cannot solve the exponential form of the equation, the missing information type because students cannot continue the solving process, and the partial insight type because students make mistakes in calculations. The research results also show that the scaffolding process for students with basic error types takes longer than for students with other types of errors. It is hoped that future research will be able to analyze student errors on HOTS questions using other theories or procedures in order to help students overcome their mistakes and minimize errors when solving HOTS questions.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan kesalahan siswa kelas X di SMA Hati Bilingual Boarding School Probolinggo dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS persamaan eksponen serta scaffoldingnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah empat siswa dengan tipe kesalahan berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan tipe basic error paling banyak dilakukan karena siswa tidak memahami maksud dan konsep untuk menyelesaikan soal. Selain itu, siswa juga melakukan tipe kesalahan lain yaitu tipe appropriate error karena siswa tidak dapat menyelesaikan bentuk persamaan eksponen, tipe missing information karena siswa tidak dapat melanjutkan proses penyelesaian, serta tipe partial insight karena siswa salah dalam perhitungan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa proses scaffolding untuk siswa dengan tipe kesalahan basic error berlangsung lebih lama dibandingkan siswa dengan tipe kesalahan lain. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melakukan analisis kesalahan siswa pada soal HOTS dengan teori atau prosedur lain, sehingga dapat membantu siswa mengatasi kesalahannya dan meminimalisir kesalahan ketika memecahkan soal HOTS.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran SOLE berbantuan Mobile learning yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi perbandingan Trigonometri. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa kelas X APHP SMK Negeri Bandar Pacitan.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. PTK ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, pada setiap siklusnya dilakukan 2 kali pertemuan secara daring. Pembelajaran SOLE berbantuan aplikasi Mobile learning dilakukan dengan Langkah-langkah: (1) questions, (2) mengorganisasikan siswa, (3) eksplorasi dan investigasi, (4) monitoring, (5) presentasi hasil diskusi, (6) evaluasi, telah terbukti dapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perbandingan trigonometri. Hasil belajar siswa pada materi perbandingan trigonometri pada tahap pra-siklus mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 10%, hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran siklus 1 terjadi peningkatan sebesar 45% dan siklus 2 sebesar 90%. Upaya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran secara daring menggunakan model SOLE berbantuan mobile learning pada materi perbandingan Trigonometri dapat berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang terjadi pada siklus 1 ke siklus 2 yaitu sebesar 18.90 %.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan aplikasi quizizz yang bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X MM 2 dengan jumlah 36 siswa. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran kooperatif STAD  berbantuan quizizz yaitu: (1) penyajian kelas, (2) diskusi kelompok, (3) tes (kuis), (4) poin perkembangan individu dan kelompok, dan (5) pemberian penghargaan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD  berbantuan quizizz bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan denganpeningkatan hasil belajar dari 61,11 pada siklus I menjadi 69,72 pada siklus II. Serta peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari 30% pada siklus I menjadi 66% pada siklus II.

Abstract

The swift advancement of technology offers significant opportunities for the field of education. Technological progress serves as a tool to facilitate teaching and learning processes. One notable application is in the selection of learning media, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that educational activities align with current needs. The aim of this study is the researcher will develop learning media assisted by Geogebra and Interactive Games that are valid, practical, and effective on cone material. This study utilizes a research and development (R&D) approach, applying Thiagarajan’s 4-D model. The participants consisted of 26 students from class IX-B at the Laboratory Junior High School of Malang State University. The findings revealed that the media's validity scored an average of 80%, categorizing it as "Feasible," thus confirming its validity. Effectiveness was assessed by analyzing the test results of the 26 students, with an average score of 84, indicating strong effectiveness. Practicality was evaluated through a student feedback survey, which showed a practical rating of 80%. Based on these findings, the online interactive learning materials, utilizing GeoGebra and Construct 2 to create interactive games on cone volume, were deemed valid, practical, and effective, making them suitable for use in educational settings.
