Self-regulation learning is important for students because it consists of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are generated and monitored by themselves to achieve goals. Self regulation learning can grow with the determination of learning goals that can direct individuals to focus on achieving the desired learning targets. One of the factors that can improve self-regulation learning is goal setting because it is a planning process to achieve learning goals. This quasi-experimental study aims to obtain information on the application of goal setting in improving self-regulation learning. The subjects in this study were 82 students who were divided into 2 groups, namely 41 treat groups and 41 control groups. Using the research type of non-randomized control trial method with pretest and post-test control group design. The data collection technique used the Self regulation learning adaptation scale with a reliability of 0.927. The collected data were analyzed using the independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test analysis tests. It was found that the application of goal setting had an impact on students' self regulation learning. It is known that the results of the treat group are higher than the results of the control group.

Confidence is the main key for students to be able to find themselves when they are in the school environment and in a social environment, with self-confidence students are also able to develop their talents, interests and potential. Students who have low self-confidence will cause problems in themselves. One of the factors to increase student self-confidence is by being given goal setting training. This study aims to determine the effect of goal setting training to increase self-confidence in students. In this study students will be given treatment in the form of goal setting training given to the experimental group. The subjects to be studied were students of Yapalis Krian Vocational School, totaling 41 students for the experimental group and 41 students for the control group. The measuring tool used to measure the level of self-confidence is the self-confidence adaptation scale (Pertiwi & Ansyah, 2021). The research design used a Non-Randomized Control Trial Experiment, because the determination of subjects was not done randomly. Independent Sample T-test parametric statistical analysis was used to determine differences in group and control group self-confidence scores, while to see differences in pre-test and post-test scores using the Paired Sample T-test. The results showed that there were differences in the level of self-confidence of students in the experimental group and the control group before and after goal setting training

Academic procrastination in students is a determining factor for the success of students in completing their studies. Engagement with the community and the ability of students to organize themselves in learning also play a role in academic procrastination. This study aims to determine the relationship of Sense of Community (SoC) and Self -Regulated Learning (SRL) with Academic Procrastination. The population of this study was all UMSIDA students in the odd semester of 2018-2019 academic year with the total number of 9824 students and the total sample based on Isaac and Michael's table with an 5% error rate were 385 students with a proportioned random sampling technique. Research data collection used three psychological scales, namely the scale of academic procrastination, the scale of the sense of community, and the scale of self-regulated learning. Analysis of research data used was product moment correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that the Sense of Community and Self-Regulated Learning have a negative relationship with academic procrastination. If students perceive themselves to have a Sense of Community and high Self-Regulated Learning, they will tend to reduce their academic procrastination. However, the Self-Regulated Learning prediction on academic procrastination is higher than the Sense of Community on academic procrastination.

The problems of speaking mastery faced by EFL students in higher education are various. The frequency of making mistakes in completing specific tasks is because of poor communication skills. Students have minimum chances resulting lack of practice that affects their successful performance. Self-efficacy and emotional intelligence were determined to be two essential components to developing and improving learners’ speaking abilities. This study is purposed to investigate the correlation between self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and the achievement of students’ English speaking. This study used a quantitative correlational design. The data are gathered by using a self-efficacy scale expanded from the General Self-Efficacy Skill (GSE), emotional intelligence was measured with the emotional intelligence scale adapted from the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), while the speaking achievement was administered to 100 students in public speaking class. The students performed a seven-minute speech and scored based on the content, proficiency, and delivery method. The data on self-efficacy and emotional intelligence were analyzed by using multiple correlations and multiple regressions. The finding shows a significant correlation between self-efficacy and students’ speaking achievement (F=9.510; p=0.0030.05), while the effect size of self-efficacy on students’ speaking achievement is 0.102 or 10,2 %. However, there is no correlation between emotional intelligence and speaking achievement (F=2.861; p=0.0940.05). Due to the absence of a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and speaking achievement then this makes the effect size of the emotional intelligence on speaking achievement very small which is 3.3%. Then, the best model to describe students’ achievement is by using self-efficacy variables and eliminating emotional intelligence variables (t=3.084; Sig. 0.0030.05). This study contributes to all speaking teachers being able to reveal the students’ self-efficacy and emotional intelligence toward learning speaking.
