Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, menghasilkan LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM yang praktis untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, menghasilkan LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD) yang mengacu pada model 4-D. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik salah satu SMA Muhammadiyah di Yogyakarta kelas XI MIPA. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, angket awal dan akhir kemandirian belajar, dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis ( pretest dan posttest ). Teknik analisis data menggunakan cara analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif berupa Aiken's V (uji validitas angket dan soal isian), Interjudge Agreement (keterlaksanaan RPP), INFIT MNSQ (uji validitas dan reliabilitas angket dan soal isian), Manova (efektivitas media), dan Effect Size (data hasil soal pretest-posttest ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM praktis digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, LKPD berbasis PBL terintegrasi pendekatan STEM efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan kemampuan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is essential skills that students must master in the 21st century. This study aims to examine the effect of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model on improving science literacy in Middle School students on thermal expansion. The research uses a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of one class selected through purposive sampling, namely class VII I at SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta. The data collection method involved using a test with a science literacy test in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data analysis was conducted using statistical tests to determine the differences before and after implementing the GI learning model. The study results indicate that the Group Investigation (GI) learning model can improve students' science literacy on thermal expansion. The enhancement in science literacy scores for indicators such as explaining phenomena scientifically, evaluating and designing scientific investigations, and interpreting data and evidence scientifically showed increases of 35.1%, 40.02%, 22.08%, and 39.98%, respectively. The paired sample T-test results indicated that the GI learning model significantly affected science literacy and its indicators. The N-gain test results showed that the GI learning model positively affected science literacy, with the indicators achieving scores of 0.42, 0.64, 0.39, and 0.29, categorized as moderate, moderate, moderate, and low, respectively. The calculated Cohen's d value of 1.457024 falls within the huge category based on Sawilowsky's (2009) criteria. Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Augmented Reality (AR) in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes across various educational levels, focusing on its effectiveness compared to traditional teaching methods. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted, gathering relevant articles from the Scopus database based on pre-determined eligibility criteria. The review followed the PRISMA approach to ensure transparency, rigor, and a comprehensive examination of existing research. Initially, 166 articles were identified, with 32 meeting the inclusion criteria after a thorough screening process that assessed the title, abstract, and full text. Thematic analysis was employed to synthesize the findings, which revealed that AR significantly improves student engagement and understanding of complex concepts, particularly within physics education. Experimental studies demonstrated that students utilizing AR tools consistently outperformed their peers in traditional learning environments, showcasing higher levels of motivation and improved academic performance. Furthermore, the interactive nature of AR fosters a more engaging learning experience, prompting students to participate actively in their educational journey. However, the review also identified several challenges in implementing AR in educational settings. Issues such as limited access to technology, adequate teacher training, and potential cognitive overload were noted as barriers to effective integration. Despite these challenges, the findings underscore the potential of AR as a transformative educational tool capable of enhancing traditional learning methodologies. In conclusion, integrating AR into educational practices is crucial for fostering interactive and immersive learning experiences that can improve student outcomes. Continued research and investment in AR technologies are recommended to maximize their benefits and address the challenges identified, ultimately enhancing the quality of education across various levels and subjects. Abstract

The guided inquiry learning model is a pedagogical approach that has demonstrated significant potential to enhance students' critical thinking abilities and their interest in learning. This study aims to examine the extent of improvement in students' critical thinking skills and learning interest through the application of practicum media integrated with the guided inquiry learning model. The research methodology employed in this study follows the Research and Development (R&D) framework, utilizing the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) to systematically design and evaluate the instructional approach. The research was conducted over a period of two months at SMA Negeri 1 Sewon, involving 35 students from class X-9 as the sample. The students participated in guided inquiry-based learning activities that incorporated practicum media specifically designed for this study. To evaluate the outcomes, a descriptive statistical analysis was conducted using normalized gain scores to measure the improvement in students' critical thinking skills and interest in learning. The results of the study indicate a significant increase in both students' critical thinking abilities and their engagement with the learning material after the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model with practicum media. These findings suggest that the guided inquiry model not only facilitates the development of critical cognitive skills but also enhances student motivation and involvement in the learning process. Given these results, it is evident that the guided inquiry learning model, when supplemented with practicum media, provides a promising instructional strategy for improving both cognitive and affective domains of learning. Further research is recommended to explore the applicability of this model in different educational contexts and across various disciplines to confirm the generalizability of these findings.

Abstract

To be able to create meaningful learning, educators need appropriate learning strategies. This will have a positive impact on students. Based on the results of observations of physics learning, global warming material at SMA N 1 Bantul requires the development of formative assessment media that can support classroom learning. This research aims to measure the feasibility and influence of using the word search inquiry model on conceptual understanding and self-efficacy in global warming material. The research method used is field research including the interview process, observation and documentation. Feasibility test data analysis was carried out using Likert scale analysis and influence data analysis using paired simple t-test data analysis techniques using SPSS. This research was conducted on class X students at SMA N 1 Bantul. The feasibility test data analysis obtained was 91.04% or very feasible. The test results showed a significant effect on the pre-test and post-test data. Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that using the word search inquiry model can increase students' conceptual understanding and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMP IT Syuhada melalui pendampingan dalam penyusunan desain pembelajaran berbasis meaningful dan mindful. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, serangkaian pelatihan dan workshop kolaboratif telah dilaksanakan berfokus pada perancangan perangkat ajar yang inovatif, relevan, dan menstimulasi keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan guru, memberikan literatur tentang pembelajaran meaningful dan mindful, demonstrasi praktik, dan pendampingan intensif dalam pengembangan desain pembelajaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru untuk mengintegrasikan prinsip meaningful dan mindful learning dalam setiap aspek pembelajaran. Guru berhasil merancang pengalaman belajar yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreatif, karakter peserta didik. Selain itu, aktivitas ini membantu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemandirian guru dalam menyiapkan perangkat ajar. Pendampingan berkelanjutan sangat penting dalam upaya untuk mendorong guru mengintegrasikan teori meaningful dan mindful learning dalam praktik kelas sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument on the Kinetic Theory of Gases (Boyle's Law) to measure the conceptual understanding, collaboration skills, and learning motivation of high school students in the context of the Independent Curriculum. The instrument developed consists of 10 multiple-choice questions to measure conceptual understanding and 10 questionnaire statements for collaboration skills and learning motivation. The development process follows systematic stages, including planning, expert validation, and empirical trials. Content validity was analyzed using the Aiken V index, and it was found that all items were in the high validity category. Empirical validation was carried out using the Rasch model through Winsteps software, which showed that most items were in the statistical range of feasibility (Infit MNSQ: 0.80–1.15 for conceptual understanding, 0.85–1.13 for collaboration, and 0.82–1.12 for motivation). The reliability coefficient ranged from 0.74 to 0.85, indicating high internal consistency. The distribution of the level of difficulty of conceptual understanding questions includes easy (30%), moderate (40%), and complex (30%), thus reflecting balance. As many as 9 out of 10 conceptual understanding questions were declared valid and feasible, while all items in the collaboration and motivation questionnaire were maintained. These results indicate that the developed instrument is valid and reliable as a holistic assessment tool in physics learning, supports the formative assessment that aligns with 21st-century competencies, and strengthens collaborative character and lifelong learning motivation.

Abstract

The integration of technology-based learning media with local cultural contexts remains limited in physics education, particularly in teaching abstract concepts such as matter state changes. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of an electronic flipbook integrated with local cultural potential and to assess student responses toward its use in physics learning. This research employed a research and development (RD) approach using the 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), limited to the development stage without classroom implementation. The validation process involved eight expert validators, while student responses were collected from 15 junior high school students. Data were obtained through validation sheets and student response questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively using percentage scores. Validation results indicated that the developed flipbook was highly feasible, with an average score of 90.75% across content, presentation, linguistic, and graphic aspects. Student responses also showed very positive evaluations, with an average score of 93.75%, particularly noting the media’s attractiveness, readability, and contextual integration with local culture. These findings confirm that the electronic flipbook is a valid and feasible medium for physics learning, offering both technological innovation and cultural relevance. The integration of local cultural elements enriched the contextualization of abstract physics concepts, aligning with constructivist learning principles. However, further classroom implementation is needed to evaluate its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. The developed flipbook is feasible as a culturally integrated physics learning medium. Future research should focus on large-scale trials to measure its impact on students’ conceptual understanding and motivation.

Abstract

The utilization of the surrounding environment as a source of science learning, particularly in oil palm plantation areas, has not yet been optimally implemented. One learning medium that enables students to interact directly with their environment is a contextual Project-Based Learning (PJBL) electronic worksheet. This study aims to develop a contextual-based electronic PJBL worksheet for analyzing simple machine principles in the human skeletal system during oil palm harvesting activities. The development procedure followed the research and development model proposed by Richey and Klein. Limited testing was conducted with ninth-grade students at SMP Evans Indonesia using questionnaires and group interviews to obtain student responses to the developed worksheet. The results indicate that the overall student response to the electronic worksheet falls within the very good category. Nevertheless, several suggestions were provided by students to improve technical features and enhance learning comfort, which were used as considerations for product refinement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem–based learning video delivered through Google Sites on the topic of light waves and to examine its practicality and effectiveness in improving students’ mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, from analysis to evaluation. Feasibility assessments were conducted by physics lecturers and teachers, while field implementation involved students of MAN 3 Sleman in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling. Research instruments consisted of pretest–posttest assessments and questionnaires, and data analysis included expert validation, students’ responses, and multivariate effectiveness testing. The results indicate that the developed instructional video is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing mathematical representation and critical thinking skills. The novelty of this study lies in integrating problem–based learning into an interactive video format organized within a structured Google Sites ecosystem. Practically, the product enables teachers to use the video as a problem-triggering medium and as support for students’ independent learning processes.
